Abstract
In the diagnosis and treatment of movement disorders, the use of neuroimaging has expanded widely and has been an exciting, important modality for unlocking the causes of abnormal motor control. With ever improving machinery, data collection techniques and analysis methods, researchers are now being presented with an exponentially increasing amount of data that they must wade through and interpret in the context of existing knowledge about movement disorders. In Neuroimaging of Movement Disorders, the editors have produced a gold-standard resource that brings together an impressive international group of authorities in their respective fields to outline the current state of knowledge. Controversies, such as conflicting findings and methodological limitations, are covered and provide the reader with a comprehensive yet pragmatic understanding of the state of science. The chapters offer both comprehensive reviews of various neuroimaging methods and also more in-depth summaries of the contributions made by neuroimaging in individual movement disorders. Although many of the neuroimaging methods that are discussed have not been routinely used in clinical practice, the authors skillfully provide the reader with adequate detail to understand the requirements for using these methods and in some cases even the starting knowledge to begin local implementation. Neuroimaging of Movement Disorders is an indispensable reference that will be of value to all physicians and researchers involved in the care of patients with movement disorders.

Abstract
In the elderly, the coexistence of various diseases, the presence of involutional and degenerative changes, and the occurrence of both physical and cognitive problems represent 'the norm.' It is therefore important to know how to distinguish the healthy elderly from those in need of treatment as a sound basis for avoiding overdiagnosis and overtreatment. This aspect is a central theme in Geriatric Imaging, which covers a wide range of applications of different imaging techniques and clearly explains both the potential and the limitations of diagnostic imaging in geriatric patients. Individual sections are devoted to each major region or system of the body, and a concluding section focuses specifically on interventional procedures. The book, written by recognized experts in the field, is superbly illustrated and will be an ideal resource for geriatricians, radiologists, and trainees.

Abstract
In the emergency and trauma setting, accurate and consistent interpretation of imaging studies are critical to the care of acutely ill and injured patients. Emergency Radiology: Imaging of Acute Pathologies is a comprehensive review of radiological diagnoses commonly encountered in the emergency room by radiologists, residents, and fellows. The book is organized by anatomical sections that present the primary ER imaging areas of the acute abdomen, pelvis, thorax, neck, head, brain and spine, and osseous structures. For each section, the common diagnoses are concisely described and are accompanied by relevant clinical facts and key teaching points that emphasize the importance of radiological interpretation in clinical patient management. The role of modalities such as plain radiography, CT, ultrasound, MR, and nuclear medicine imaging in managing emergency conditions is highlighted.

Abstract
In the era of molecular biology, an atlas that allows a rapid understanding of the complexity of ovarian processes is urgently needed. In this book, the author draws upon her own research, conducted over the past three decades, to provide a unique compilation of high-quality illustrations that offer illuminating insights in a readily accessible form. The ovarian follicles, the corpus luteum, and the interstitial cortex are presented as precisely controlled homeostatic compartments. Physiologic cell death forms and leukocyte subtypes are clearly depicted, and the various steps in the ovulatory process are demonstrated in detail. Further topics addressed include the microvascular bed, the plasticity of intraovarian nerves as part of the remodelling processes in the polycystic and the menopausal ovary, and the role of cytokeratin-positive cells (of steroidogenic or microvascular origin) as messengers of innate immunity. This atlas will be a fascinating and informative resource for both trainees and more experienced professionals.
Contents
Introduction -- Follicle stages and follicular atresia without and with irradiation -- Follicular atresia as proliferative and inflammatory event -- Cortex and cellular stromolysis -- The ovulatory period as acute inflammatory response to oxidative stress and follicle cell harvest -- Corpus luteum cycle with focus on capillary sprouting and regression, eosinophils and KIT-positive cells -- Intraovarian oocyte release (IOR) with severe tissue damage -- Vascular stromolysis and vascular luteolysis for bulk tissue removal -- Polycystic and postmenopausal ovaries and negligible mast cells -- Cytokeratin-positive cells as dendritic-like cells and potential albumin-coexpression in follicles and corpus luteum -- Aspects of immunological control, novel concepts, challenges and clinical perspectives.

Abstract
In the fifth edition of this highly successful book, the author once again aims to equip the reader with up-to-date information that will facilitate accurate diagnosis of bone and joint diseases by means of combined use of scintigraphy and radiology. Two entirely new chapters have been added, one on the use of 18F-NaF PET/CT and the other on gamma correction scan diagnosis of bone trabecular microfracture and microcontusion as well as bone edema and hemorrhage. Further topics covered for the first time include enthesopathies, myositis, soft tissue diseases, cryptic bones, and differential diagnosis. Individual chapters have been updated and rearranged to reflect the latest advances in imaging diagnosis. As before, a vast number of state of the art gamma correction pinhole bone scans and corroborative conventional radiographs and CT, MRI, and/or ultrasound images are presented side by side. In this new edition, extension of the application of gamma correction to other imaging methods such as MRI and CT and the solution of the halation problem are necessarily addressed. This fifth edition of Combined Scintigraphic and Radiographic Diagnosis of Bone and Joint Diseases will be essential reading for practitioners and researchers in nuclear medicine, radiology, orthopedic surgery, pathology, anatomy, and imaging sciences at large.
Contents
Introduction and fundamentals of pinhole scintigraphy -- Dual-head planar pinhole scan, pinhole SPECT, and gamma correction pinhole scan of the bone -- Clinical applications -- Normal pinhole scintigraphic anatomy of bones and joints -- Normal variants and artifacts -- Infective and inflammatory diseases of the bone -- Noninfective osteitides -- Diseases of joints and soft-tissue infections -- Degenerative joint diseases -- Rheumatoid arthritis -- Seronegative spondyloarthropathies -- Other rheumatic osteoarthropathies and soft-tissue rheumatism syndromes -- Osteochondroses and related diseases -- Vascular bone disorders -- Metabolic bone diseases and drug-induced osteoporosis -- Traumatic, surgical, and sports injuries of the skeleton -- Malignant tumors of the bone -- Benign tumors and tumorous conditions of the bone -- Soft-tissue tumors and tumor-like conditions -- Otorhinological disorders -- PET-CT in bone and joint diseases -- A genetic consideration of skeletal disorders -- Gamma correction pinhole bone scan diagnosis -- Trabecular microfracture and micro contusion -- Appendix: Basic physics of pinhole scintigraphy.

Abstract
In the helping professions, codes of ethics and decision-making models have been the primary vehicles for determining what constitutes ethical practice. These strategies are insufficient since they assume that shared meanings exist and that the contradictory universal principles of codes can be reconciled. Also, these tools do not emphasize the significance of context for ethical practice. This book takes a new critical theoretical approach, which involves exploring how social workers construct what is ’ethical’ in their work, especially when they are positioned at the intersection of multiple paradoxes, including that of two opposing responsibilities in society: namely, to care for others but also to prevent others from harm. The book is built on narratives from actual front-line workers and therefore is more applicable and grounded for practitioners and students, offering many suggestions for sound practice. It illustrates that an understanding of ethics differs from worker to worker and is heavily influenced by context, workers’ values, and what they take up as the primary discourses that frame their perceptions of the profession.
