The aim of this book is to provide concise but thorough information and guidance on the main methods and examination techniques used when performing high-quality CT angiography and MR angiography studies in a broad range of clinical settings. The lucid text is supported by a large number of case studies and is rich in advice on image interpretation and practical suggestions for the evaluation and reporting of the examinations. This extensively illustrated book aims to assist the reader in integrating cardiac CT into daily clinical practice, while also reviewing its current technical status and applications. Clear guidance is provided on the performance and interpretation of imaging using the latest technology, which offers greater coverage, better spatial resolution, and faster imaging while also providing functional information about cardiac diseases. The specific features of scanners from all four main vendors, including those that have only recently become available, are presented. Abstract
Holoscopy is a new tomographic imaging modality that combines techniques of digital holography with Fourier-domain optical coherence tomography (FD-OCT). Dierck Hillmann gives a theoretical introduction to the mathematics and physics of holoscopy and develops an efficient numerical reconstruction procedure. Compared to FD-OCT, holoscopy provides unique advantages by enabling tomographic imaging without a limited depth of focus, but results in an increased numerical cost for reconstruction. In further chapters, the author introduces techniques for FD-OCT that are relevant to holoscopy as well. He demonstrates and compares numerical reconstruction methods for FD-OCT and shows how motion and dispersion artifacts in FD-OCT can be numerically compensated.

Abstract
This book provides a carefully selected compilation of challenging cases representative of the situations and pathologies likely to be encountered when performing cardiovascular imaging using CT. The conditions covered include coronary artery disease, anomalous coronary arteries, congenital heart disease, coronary artery bypass grafts, infectious diseases, structural heart disease, tumors, and aortic pathology. The book also provides brief insight into use of Cardiac CT geared towards the pre-procedural use in patients undergoing atrial fibrillation ablation, thoracic endovascular aortic repair, or transcatheter aortic valve replacement. In addition, scanning techniques for some of the more difficult cases that a cardiac imager may encounter in practice are reviewed. All images are high-resolution reproductions, and subsequent cardiac catheterization images are included for cases in which obstructive coronary artery disease was revealed. Clinical Pearls in Diagnostic Cardiac Computed Tomographic Angiography is specifically designed to meet the needs of residents, fellows, and physicians who have an interest in cardiovascular CT.

Abstract
This book reviews recent important advances in the use of optical coherence tomography (OCT) in order to analyze neurodegeneration within the retina through the quantification of axonal loss. Detailed information is provided on the role of OCT as a promising tool for the evaluation of disease progression in numerous neurodegenerative disorders and as a biological marker of neuroaxonal injury. The disorders considered include multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, intracranial hypertension, Friedreich's ataxia, schizophrenia, hereditary optic neuropathies, glaucoma, and amblyopia. Individual chapters are also devoted to OCT technique, new OCT technology in neuro-ophthalmology, OCT and pharmacological treatment, and the use of OCT in animal models. As well as being a valuable tool for diagnosis of many retinal diseases and monitoring of surgical and medical treatment, OCT allows study of the retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) containing the axons of the retinal ganglion cells, which form the optic nerves, chiasm, and optic tracts. Since retinal axons are nonmyelinated until they penetrate the lamina cribrosa, the RNFL is an ideal structure for visualization of any process of neurodegeneration, neuroprotection, or regeneration. It is for this reason that OCT has been applied in various areas of neurology over the past decade, becoming a hot topic and generating great enthusiasm among neurologists and ophthalmologists. By documenting the ability of OCT to provide key information on CNS diseases, this book illustrates convincingly that the eye is indeed the "window to the brain".
