The IWK Pre-Operative Clinic is an outpatient clinic that children/youth visit to help get them ready for surgery. This visit can occur anywhere from two weeks before surgery until the day before. At this visit, your child/youth will have their pre-operative testing done as well as meet with members of the health care team. Examples of pre op testing bloodwork, x-ray, or ECG - the surgeon will talk to you about what tests are needed for your child/youth.

Abstract
The IWK Pre-Operative Clinic is an outpatient clinic that children/youth visit to help get them ready for surgery. This visit can occur anywhere from two weeks before surgery until the day before. At this visit, your child/youth will have their pre-operative testing done as well as meet with members of the health care team. Examples of pre op testing bloodwork, x-ray, or ECG - the surgeon will talk to you about what tests are needed for your child/youth.
