Abstract
Since the first endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm was reported in the early 1990s, there has been an explosion in the volume and complexity of endovascular and hybrid procedures for the treatment of aortic diseases. Endovascular techniques and technologies have evolved from the initial devices that allowed treatment of only the most straightforward infrarenal aneurysms with appropriately long and straight necks to the scenario that pertains today, wherein a customized endovascular solution is almost always available for even the most complex aortic aneurysm. There is growing evidence in favor of the endovascular treatment of these aneurysms, which extend above the visceral aortic segment, as well as for the treatment of thoracic aortic dissection and aneurysm. These new endoaortic surgical procedures have been proven to shorten hospitalization, reduce morbidity and mortality, speed recovery, and hasten return to normal life, while their evolution and conceptual design would obviously not be possible without the simultaneous explosion in medical imaging technologies that has taken place over a similar time period. The Atlas of Advanced Endoaortic Surgery has been compiled to engage its readers in a comprehensive yet concise manner, with numerous illustrations of real clinical cases. It provides a useful tool for practitioners as they plan and execute treatment of patients with these various aortic pathologies, and serves as a useful reference as this segment of the field continues to evolve.

Abstract
The field of structural heart disease interventions is experiencing a stage of rapid growth with the development of percutaneous mitral valve repair therapies and percutaneous aortic valve replacement therapies. The MitraClip represents a new therapeutic frontier for mitral regurgitation and is expected to revolutionize repair of the mitral valve. For the first time in the world, physicians now have the capability to repair the mitral valve percutaneously without the need for a sternotomy or cardiopulmonary bypass. However, as with all new endeavors, there is a steep learning curve, not just for the individual operator but also for the entire field. The MitraClip technology and technique is technically complex and is guided by echocardiography and fluoroscopy. It is an imaging intensive procedure that requires deep 3-dimensional understanding of normal and abnormal cardiac anatomy. Not all mitral regurgitation cases are suitable and not all cases are straightforward. It is therefore crucially important for physicians in this specialty to communicate their experience, successes, failures and complications with each other. Written by the leaders in this breakthrough field, the Atlas of Percutaneous Edge-to-Edge Mitral Valve Repair is the first of its kind for the new percutaneous MitraClip procedure. The Editors have designed the book to be a comprehensive reference manual and to provide cardiologists with true examples of basic and complex cases of percutaneous mitral valve repair using the technology. In addition, this book provides step-by-step guides to the procedure and complications as well as steps to recover from them are discussed. The Atlas is anticipated to be a very valuable reference for both novice and experienced interventional cardiologists and echocardiologists. As percutaneous valve repair becomes more common it will also be of great interest to general cardiologists and surgeons.

Abstract
This is the first textbook entirely dedicated to the endovascular treatment of complications related to arteriovenous accesses for hemodialysis (native fistulas and prosthetic grafts). The book addresses the anatomy of upper limb arteries and veins as well as the clinical presentation of patients and the way to perform and read a fistulogram. Many details and illustrations are provided, clarifying the subtleties in catheterization and the dilation of stenoses. From a strategic point of view, it is explained for the first time that many stenoses must either be ignored or deliberately underdilated. Many images help understand the different stages of recovery from thrombosed accesses. The number of incident dialysis patients increases by 5 % every year, which means that this is a field of growing interest. There are several annual or bi-annual meetings held by numerous national or international societies (vascularaccesssociety.com, sfav.org, vasmad.org, dialysiscontroversies.org, asdin.org).
Contents
Glory and weakness of interventional radiology in dialysis accesses -- The nephrologist, the interventional radiologist and the place of the vascular access in the treatment of end stage renal disease -- Vascular access strategy -- Natural history of vascular accesses -- Radiological anatomy and pre-operative imaging of upper limb vessels -- Which indications and which imaging method for the dialysis access? -- Psychological and clinical aspects -- Clinical pre-requisites prior to angiography -- Angiography (fistulography) -- Dilation and stents -- Hand ischemia -- How dealing with the thrombosed access? -- Percutaneous occlusion of dialysis accesses -- Diagnostic and interventional radiology of arterio-venous accesses for hemodialysis: a European perspective -- Clinical complications during and after endovascular treatments -- Immediate and long-term results of interventional radiology in dialysis accesses -- Annexes. Abstract
This book reviews in detail the role of neuroradiological imaging in the evaluation of patients who have undergone surgery or interventional radiology procedures, and particularly its value in the documentation of normal and pathological post-treatment changes, detection of complications, and follow-up. The opening sections describe pretreatment images in various conditions, including trauma, degenerative disc disease, and osteoporosis, and the different types of neurosurgical and interventional treatment that may be used. The post-treatment appearances of normal sequelae and complications on conventional radiography, CT, and MRI are then documented in detail on the basis of a large series of clinical cases, with a wealth of images. Guidance is provided on selection of one or a combination of imaging modalities. This book will be an invaluable clinical and research tool not only for neuroradiologists but also for neurosurgeons, and interventional radiologists.

Abstract
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has become one of the most powerful diagnostic tools in modern medicine, with a number of well-known advantages in terms of image quality, functional imaging options, and patient safety. The idea of using this enormous potential also for interventional purposes may seem obvious, but it took major efforts by engineers, physicists, and clinicians to come up with dedicated interventional techniques and scanners, and improvements are still ongoing. Since the inception of interventional MRI in the mid-1990s, the numbers of settings, techniques, and clinical applications have increased dramatically. This state of the art book covers all aspects of interventional MRI. The more technical contributions offer an overview of the fundamental ideas and concepts and present the available instrumentation. The richly illustrated clinical contributions, ranging from MRI-guided biopsies to completely MRI-controlled therapies in various body regions, provide detailed information on established and emerging applications and identify future trends and challenges.

Abstract
Interventional Oncology is a fast-growing new field, as well as an emerging specialty. Many minimally-invasive, imaging-guided procedures seem set to replace more traditional open surgical techniques of treating solid tumors in a variety of organs. The aim of this book is to describe new interventional radiological methods in a succinct and practical form. Diagnostic radiological considerations relevant to the selection and follow-up of patients are also covered. The book begins with an overview of the basic principles of current interventional techniques, including thermal ablation, high intensity focused ultrasound, and embolization. Later chapters focus on tumors of the liver, kidney, lung, and bone, placing new interventional techniques in context by referring to the surgical and oncologic methods of treating the same conditions. With an emphasis on best practices, Interventional Oncology: A Practical Guide for the Interventional Radiologist will serve as a definitive guide to practicing physicians involved in this rapidly evolving field.

Abstract
Neuroradiology is the branch of radiology that comprises both imaging and invasive procedures related to the brain, spine and spinal cord, head, neck, organs of special sense (eyes, ears, nose), cranial and spinal nerves, and cranial, cervical, and spinal vessels. Special training and skills are required to enable the neuroradiologist to function as an expert diagnostic and therapeutic consultant and practitioner. In addition to knowledge of imaging findings, the neuroradiologist is required to learn the fundamentals of structural and functional neuroanatomy, neuropathology, and neuropathophysiology as well as the clinical manifestations of diseases of the brain, spine and spinal cord, head, neck, and organs of special sense. This book is intended as an introduction to neuroradiology and aims to provide the reader with a comprehensive overview of this highly specialized radiological subspecialty. One hundred illustrated cases from clinical practice are presented in a standard way. Each case is supported by representative images and is divided into three parts: a brief summary of the patient's medical history, a discussion of the disease, and a description of the most characteristic imaging features of the disorder. The focus is not only on common neuroradiological entities such as stroke and acute head trauma but also on less frequent disorders that the practitioner should recognize. Learning Neuroimaging: 100 Essential Cases is an ideal resource for neuroradiology and radiology residents, neurology residents, neurosurgery residents, nurses, radiology technicians, and medical students.
