Abstract
Properly run group visit programs offer patient-centered care that can improve access, quality, outcomes, productivity, revenues, and both patient and physician satisfaction. The ABCs of Group Visits is a concise implementation manual that guides readers through a 10-week pipeline to design and launch a successful customized group visit program in any practice, large or small. The group visit model is highly adaptable and has been used to great success for follow-up visits, physical examinations, new patient intakes, and chronic disease management (among other applications) and can offer hope to beleaguered primary and specialty care physicians, Medicare, and Medicaid. Ideal for physicians, healthcare administrators and executive leaders alike, The ABCs of Group Visits contains all the vital information to help solve many of the problems facing busy, backlogged physicians and bring joy back into the practice of medicine. "Group visits are just the type of 'win-win' innovation that healthcare needs today'improving outcomes, enhancing service, and at their best, reducing costs and burden on both clinicians and those they serve."á Don Berwick, MD, former President and CEO of IHI "Group visits offer an innovation to healthcare that can drive improvements to quality, outcomes, service, and productivity in all spheres in medicine'plus, as demonstrated in our substantial experience with them at Cleveland Clinic, yield high levels of patient and physician satisfaction in a wide variety of specialties." David L. Bronson, MD, FACP, President and CEO, Cleveland Clinic Regional Hospitals; Professor of Medicine, Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.

Abstract
Alcohol, Nutrition, and Health Consequences provides practical, data-driven resources to help the reader understand the basics, treatments and preventive strategies that are involved in the understanding of how alcohol may affect healthy individuals as well as those with chronic alcohol use with or without relevant infectious diseases, obesity, diabetes and/or neurocognitive declines. It will also help the clinician define the causes and types of nutritional changes due to alcohol use and also explain how nutrition can be used to ameliorate its consequences. Chapters present the application of current nutritional knowledge by physicians and dietitians. Specific areas involving alcohol-related damage due to nutritional changes are reviewed, including heart disease, obesity, digestive tract cancers, lactation, brain function, and liver disease. In addition, alcohol's effects on absorption of minerals and nutrients, a key role in causing damage are treated. The importance of diet in modifying alcohol and its metabolite damage is also explained. Alcohol, Nutrition, and Health Consequences is essential reading for alcohol therapists and researchers as well as primary care physicians and dietitians and is an easy reference to help the clinician, student, and dietitian comprehend the complex changes caused by direct and indirect effects of ethanol at the cellular level via its nutritional modification.

Abstract
Anesthesia for Trauma is a comprehensive, clinically oriented text for practitioners and trainees in anesthesia, pain management, and critical care. It covers core topics, from initial assessment and blood and blood products, to the multi-trauma patient and trauma by major anatomical region. Burns receive especially extensive coverage. Special considerations when administering anesthesia to traumatically injured children, pregnant women, and older people are reviewed, as are foundational areas such as clinically relevant physiology and the growing role of trauma simulation in training. Readers will find leading edge coverage of microvascular surgery, pain management, and critical care of trauma patients as well as up-to-date chapters on trauma in the military, civilian trauma systems, and disaster management. The book concludes with a unique 'must-read' chapter for all clinicians on the link between substance abuse and penetrating trauma.

Abstract
Bronchial Asthma: A Guide for Practical Understanding and Treatment, Sixth Edition, is a fully updated version of a widely respected classic on the diagnosis and management of asthma. Discussing the disorder in all relevant patient groups, including a variety of patient subpopulations, this invaluable title continues to emphasize the definition, medications, and practical use of asthma treatment plans. As in previous editions, the book also continues to define and focus on the special clinical problems of the pregnant patient, the patient undergoing emergency treatment, as well as the common day issues of exercise, athletics, recreational drug use and especially self care. Importantly, this comprehensive reference also discusses the common side effects found in the full range of medications used for asthma treatment. Replete with a wide range of tables and charts to again make the book practical and user-friendly, Bronchial Asthma: A Guide for Practical Understanding and Treatment, Sixth Edition, continues its position as a leading text in the field.

Abstract
The term "dermatologic emergency" is rarely used, and a dermatologist is typically not the first physician called when a patient presents to the emergency department. However, largely under-recognized dermatoses can be life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated in a timely fashion.Buka's Emergencies in Dermatology addresses the need for a concise, portable reference that can be used by emergency personnel, dermatologists and resident-physicians.T his text, heavily illustrated with color images, proves to be especially critical if a community-based hospital does not have a dermatology department and the responsibility for initial diagnosis falls to the emergency room or critical care physician. While the vast majority of cutaneous outbreaks are not life-threatening, those that are can go unrecognized with devastating consequences. Buka's Emergencies in Dermatology addresses this concern and focuses on the most critical issues in cutaneous emergencies, from neonatal and pediatric emergencies, to infectious emergencies and drug eruptions.
