Abstract
This text is designed to present a comprehensive and state-of the-art approach to the management of breast cancer within the fields of surgery, medical oncology, and radiation oncology. Sections address changes in these fields. These areas include breast imaging, management of the axilla, atypical breast lesions, surgical margins, new techniques in breast reconstruction, and nipple sparing and contralateral mastectomies. Subsequent chapters focus on issues in medical oncology including, triple negative breast cancer and metastatic breast disease. New paradigms in radiation oncology are examined. Breast cancer treatment in the elderly and in young women, and genetic risk in breast cancer management is also be discussed. Written by experts in their field, each of these sections addresses advances and changes in the field. A brief review of the existing literature addressing the particular topic follows in each section. The text concludes with chapters on pathological issues and advances in radiation oncology. Abstract
This title recognises that clinical cases are a key component in modern medical education, assisting the trainee or recertifying clinician to work through unusual cases using best practice techniques. It also acknowledges that psoriasis is an important discipline in this regard since it is a highly visual subject requiring the reader to describe often very subtle differences in the presentation of patients and define accurately the diagnostic and management criteria to base their clinical decision-making on. The objective of this book is to provide readers with an overview of the diagnosis and multidisciplinary management of psoriasis. As part of the Clinical Cases in Dermatology series, the range of titles cover the most common skin problems encountered in clinical practice and many of the rarer diseases that may be encountered by the practicing dermatologist.

Abstract
Although there is a current ban in many countries on the injection of liquid silicone, paraffin or polyacrylamide hydrogels or other gel or liquid materials into the breasts for the purpose of increasing size, there are still a large number of non-professionals who use these injections and offer them as a cheap alternative to plastic surgery. The results, at first, may seem cosmetically favorable for the patient, but these injections often lead to painful complications like mastitis (inflammation of the mammary gland) and can make it incredibly difficult to diagnose breast cancer early. Many patients suffer delayed complications that force them to seek expert care for corrective and reconstructive surgery. This book, the culmination of decades of research, aims to serve the surgeon faced with these complications, offering a detailed step-by-step guide of the pathology from clinical diagnosis and imaging studies to the different surgical and reconstructive procedures for reconstruction. As there is no clinical management consensus or international guideline, Injection-Induced Breast Siliconomas: Clinical Implications, Evaluation and Treatment fills the gap in the literature and encourages more research. Previously published in Spanish in 2017 under the title Siliconomas Mamarios por Inyeccion: Clinica, Diagnostico y Tratamiento, this English translation is a true re-edition of the original version with added updates for the English-speaking audience.

Abstract
This text is intended as a practical guide for physicians and surgeons who treat diseases of the breast, both benign and malignant. Thus, general surgeons, internists, family practitioners, gynecologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and medical oncologists will find this book useful. The management of breast diseases requires a multidisciplinary approach, and this textbook therefore includes the views of a wide range of specialists from throughout the world. Today the treatment of breast diseases is largely predicated on the results of randomized prospective trials. The results of many clinical trials are discussed in detail, and readers will find this book to be a useful guide to the evidence-based treatment of breast diseases. The revised edition provides a comprehensive update of the previous version of the book. Specifically, it contains 2 new chapters: "Molecular Classification of Breast Cancer" and "Breast Cancer Molecular Testing for Prognosis and Prediction". In addition, since publication of the previous edition, the results of numerous adjuvant systemic therapy and neo-adjuvant systemic therapy trials have been published, and this edition provides a comprehensive overview of these trials and discusses how they have changed the management of breast cancer. Similarly, there have been, in the last few years, important new developments in the local therapy of breast cancer. This edition discusses these new developments and particularly recent developments and controversies concerning the management of the axilla in patients with primary breast cancer. New guidelines with respect to radiotherapy are also reviewed and discussed. Finally, all chapters in the book are thoroughly revised and updated to provide readers with current understanding of the biology and treatment of breast cancer.

Abstract
In recent years, various new techniques of minimally invasive thyroidectomy have emerged. These include approaches to the thyroid from the neck, the axilla, the breast, the retro-auricular space, and even the mouth. This book describes the different techniques and approaches in detail, and presents the equipment required to support minimally invasive thyroidectomy, including intraoperative monitoring and energy devices. In addition, the basic preoperative techniques that are a prerequisite to successful thyroidectomy, such as the ultrasound and fine-needle aspiration biopsy techniques, are presented, and individual chapters are devoted to thyroid pathology, complications, outcomes, and post-thyroidectomy quality of life. Important related topics are also discussed, including guidelines for managing papillary and medullary thyroid cancer and the surgical management of metastatic lymph nodes. The editors of Minimally Invasive Thyroidectomy are internationally renowned endocrine surgeons, and the authors include founders of the techniques described as well as other distinguished pioneers and specialists. Abstract
This book presents expert opinions on a variety of key topics related to the management of breast cancer, with a focus on the implications of recent advances and research findings for clinical practice. It also explores the controversy regarding mammography screening and reviews the contribution of new imaging modalities. Considerable attention is paid to developments in surgical procedures, including the potential for the safe and effective use of sentinel lymph node dissection alone--even in patients with positive nodes--and to the advantages and contraindications of new radiotherapy techniques. Genetic aspects are discussed in detail, including an assessment of the role of genetic testing and the potential impact of genetic signatures on breast cancer management. New systemic strategies, such as anti-HER2 therapy, endocrine agents, and agents to reverse endocrine resistance, are considered, and the optimal use of chemotherapy for early-stage and advanced-stage disease is addressed. In closing, the book shares important new insights into lifestyle risk factors, risk reduction strategies, and survivor issues, including sexual dysfunction and fertility maintenance.

Abstract
This book deals with the essential factors in the personalization of treatment for primary breast cancer. These include host issues, lymph node surgery, radiation therapy, and preoperative systemic treatment requiring specialized knowledge, multidisciplinary care experience, techniques, and research. Locoregional treatment in conjunction with systemic treatments is another important factor, with options for local therapy significantly affected by genetic BRCA mutation. Axillary treatment issues have become top priorities in recent primary breast cancer care, and these are highlighted in the book's presentation of technological advances in lymph node mapping and diagnosis, axillary clearance in patients with nodal metastasis, and the role of axillary surgery. Attention is also given to locoregional treatment after preoperative systemic therapy. Because therapeutic impact differs depending upon biological characteristics such as tumor subtype, local therapy should be based both on tumor biology and on therapeutic response in parallel. Associated translational research and mathematical prediction tools such as nomograms also are introduced. This book provides the essence of primary breast cancer care, particularly its individualization with novel therapeutic concepts and strategies, and will greatly benefit physicians and clinical investigators in breast cancer institutions.

Abstract
This comprehensive atlas provides a step-by-step guide of new techniques in burn surgery and enables readers to identify the appropriate treatment plan and best possible procedure for each patient pre-surgery before delving into a variety of different surgical possibilities for treatment and recovery. Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of Burns—An Atlas of New Techniques and Strategies presents new solutions in plastic and reconstructive surgery for burns built upon tried and true techniques of contracture restoration using various flaps and skin grafts. Accompanying illustrations and schemes allow the reader to visualize the process from mapping, dissecting and closing the wound. Preoperative and postoperative results are compared, with extensive illustrations and pictures that cover areas of the body most commonly treated for burns including face, neck, breast, torso, arms, legs, hands, and feet. Outcomes of the surgeries including full functional and aesthetic restoration of treated patients are meticulously photographed and provided alongside each technique. New classifications are presented based on contracture anatomy which showcase the development of new flaps and techniques that elevate functional and aesthetic rehabilitation of burned patients to a new level. The culmination of the decades long career of renowned plastic surgeon, Viktor M. Grishkevich, many new and original techniques, currently unpublished in U.S. literature, are detailed in depth alongside techniques uniquely designed by Dr. Grishkevich and previously published around the world. Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of Burns—An Atlas of New Techniques and Strategies, has international reach and is meant for plastic and reconstructive surgeons with specialties in hand, maxillo-facial, facial, and ENT. Due to its detailed nature, the atlas is also appropriate for residents in the related fields of surgery as well.

Abstract
This book systematically reviews sensory and motor nerve conduction studies on the ulnar nerve, from pilot human studies of peripheral nerve conduction in the 1950s through to the most recent scientific evidence. Precise descriptions are provided of approx. 70 nerve conduction techniques that were reproduced in the laboratory, with organization of the techniques according to practical criteria for ease of reference. Particular attention is devoted to those techniques that have shown higher sensitivity and specificity in diagnosis of compressive mononeuropathies, such as ulnar neuropathy at the elbow or wrist. Normal and pathological values derived from the original articles and the subsequent literature are presented, and the wealth of illustrative material facilitates comprehension and reproduction of each technique. The volume is completed by a detailed, well-illustrated glossary explaining the more commonly used terms in electrodiagnostic medicine. This book will appeal to novice and experienced neurologists, students, clinical neurophysiology technicians, and rehabilitation physicians. It represents a logical extension of the volumes on the median nerve published by Springer.
