Abstract
This is the second edition of a very well received book devoted specifically to the treatment of liver tumors by radioembolization with 90Y microspheres. The success of the first edition was based on the provision of all the fundamental information required for successful use of this therapeutic modality in clinical practice. The new edition has been fully updated to cover the most recent advances and includes additional chapters on regulations and emerging trends. Detailed information is provided on the full range of relevant topics, including hepatic vascular anatomy (including variants), dosimetry, assessment of tumor response, and the results achieved using radioembolization alone and in combination with other treatments in patients with primary or metastatic disease. Complications and side-effects are also fully discussed.
Contents
90Y Microspheres: Concepts and Principles -- Regulations and Requirements of Hospitals Performing Radioembolization -- Radiological Evaluation of Patients with Liver Tumors -- Vascular Anatomy and Its Implication in Radioembolization -- Radioembolization: Identifying and Managing Anatomic Variants -- Dosimetry and Dose Calculation -- Nuclear Medicine Procedures for Treatment Evaluation and Administration -- Radiological Detection and Assessment of Tumor Response -- Evaluation of the Response by Multimodality Imaging -- Results in Hepatocellular Carcinoma -- HCC. Radioembolization Combined with Other Therapeutic Local and Systemic Treatment -- Principles for Combining Radioembolisation with Systemic Chemotherapy for Metastatic Colorectal Cancer -- Results in Liver Metastatic Colorectal Cancer -- Treatment of Neuroendocrine Tumors with Selective Internal Radiation Therapy -- Yttrium-90 Microspheres for Other Liver Metastases -- Surgical Treatment and Radioembolization -- Complications and Side Effects -- Radioembolization-Induced Liver Disease.

Abstract
Peripheral nerve analysis is a challenging task for pathologists, given the advent of new diagnoses and techniques of analysis and the impact of molecular genetics. This book presents a simple, logical method for constructing a differential diagnosis based on pathology and clinical presentation. It also provides advice on the selection of ancillary molecular, immunohistochemical and genetic techniques to establish a definitive diagnosis. Clear, authoritative guidance is offered on diagnosis of the full range of neuropathies with the aid of a wealth of high-quality color photomicrographs and electron micrographs. The pathologist will benefit greatly from the identification of a variety of artifacts and normal structures occasionally encountered in nerve biopsies that need to be distinguished from specific pathologic alterations.
