This book presents up-to-date information on clinical and research applications of imaging in peripheral arterial disease (PAD). It provides high-quality images useful not only in the diagnosis of PAD but also for use in clinical trials aimed at the development of novel therapies such as angiogenic agents and stem cells. The book begins with coverage of the applications of the four major imaging modalities in a clinical setting: ultrasound, computed tomography angiography (CTA), magnetic resonance angiography (MRA), and digital subtraction angiography (DSA). It also discusses the ankle brachial index (ABI) as a screening technique to establish the presence of PAD. Subsequent chapters focus on the advantages and limitations of various research applications of imaging in PAD including contrast ultrasound for measuring perfusion, MRI for assessing perfusion, energetics, plaque volume, and characteristics, and radionuclide imaging for perfusion and inflammation. Imaging in Peripheral Arterial Disease: Clinical and Research Applications is an essential resource for physicians, researchers, residents, and fellows in cardiology, radiology, imaging, nuclear medicine, diagnostic radiology, and vascular surgery.

Abstract
This comprehensive volume reviews the clinical presentation, diagnosis, and treatment approach to rare lymphomas. There is particular emphasis placed on new diagnostic approaches, novel chemotherapy combinations, and treatment modalities with novel therapeutics. It highlights research advances in a group of diseases that are often overlooked, and serves as a single repository of information on the most recent advances in targeted small molecule inhibitors, monoclonal antibodies, immunotherapy, and CAR-T therapy as they pertain to rare types of lymphoma. Written for practicing oncologists, hematologists, fellows, and residents, Novel Therapeutics for Rare Lymphomas covers rare subtypes of lymphoma, including indolent and aggressive T-cell lymphomas and B-cell lymphomas.

Abstract
Because pediatric orthopedic trauma involves fixing bones that are still growing, it has unique concerns and complexities that distinguish it from adult orthopedic trauma. Unlike previous books on this topic, this book utilizes a case atlas format to provide current management strategies for pediatric orthopedic injuries to the upper and lower extremity and axial skeleton in a clear and concise manner, demonstrating real-world clinical situations and methodology for successful treatment. Each case will be authored by an expert in the field and will contain comprehensive step-by-step instructions on how to handle each injury. In addition to pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative recommendations, each case will include multiple color images and radiographs, clinical pearls, and possible pitfalls to further guide the reader and provide the orthopedic surgeon, resident and fellow with quick, credible and reliable answers to “How do I fix this?”.

Abstract
This book contains a variety of medical case studies from actual patients presenting to the emergency department. It includes not only typical cases that present to the ED but also less common, yet very important cases that one can't afford to miss. Each chapter begins with a case – or set of cases with typical and atypical aspects – of the disease in question. This is followed by high-value learning points on the condition with introductory/background points, physiology and pathophysiology of the disease, how to make the diagnosis, and finally how to initiate treatment. The cases provide expert discussion with tips and tricks, personal experience with management of each of the cases, and a follow-up description of the outcome of the cases to provide the reader with closure. To supplement each case study, all 67 chapters include a pattern recognition component that identifies the key diagnostic features of the disease discussed. The chapters conclude with a summary of the diagnostic and treatment details of each condition. Using a concise, easy-to-read, bulleted format, the book helps readers to learn, evaluate, adopt new practices, right now (LEARN). Emergency Medicine Case Studies - LEARNing Rounds: Learn, Evaluate, Adopt, Right Now is an essential resource for a variety of emergency medicine clinicians including experienced physicians, residents, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and medical students rotating in the emergency department. Finally, this book can be used as a basis for small group discussions, especially in emergency medicine training programs.

Abstract
Solid organ transplantation offers a new chance at life to those suffering from failing organs. With these successes, however, comes the everyday management that is required to maintain health. The field of solid organ transplantation has become a part of medicine that generalists should be familiar with, as recipients are living longer and frequently returning to primary care for management. While specialists will still need to be involved with the care of solid organ transplant recipients on a life-long basis, many conditions will still need initial and often ongoing care by generalists, including infections, metabolic conditions, psychiatric illnesses, and malignancy. This book focuses on the care of adult solid organ transplant recipients, and is targeted at the level of the primary care provider. It begins with an introduction and overviews of solid organ transplantation and anti-rejection medications. It then delves into organ-specific chapters that provide the primary care provider with an overview of how to take care of patients with the most commonly-transplanted solid organs: kidney, kidney-pancreas, liver, heart, and lung. The final section focuses on specific complications that arise from transplantation including cancer, metabolic conditions, infections, and common presenting syndromes. Preventative health is also discussed, and the book concludes with a chapter on palliative care. Primary Care of the Solid Organ Transplant Recipient is a unique text that provides the reader with organ and complication-specific sections that can be independently read as they relate to the individual physicians and their patients. Written by experts in the field, this text is a valuable resource for primary care providers, medical students, residents and anyone involved in the care of solid organ transplant recipients.

Primary Care of the Adult Heart Transplant Recipient -- 7. Primary Care of the Adult Lung Transplant Recipient -- 8. Infections in the Adult Solid Organ Transplant Recipient -- 9. Common Symptoms in the Adult Solid Organ Transplant Recipient -- 10. Cancer Risk in the Adult Solid Organ Transplant Recipient.
