Clostridioides difficile (C. diff) is a type of bacteria (germ) that is found in the intestine (gut or bowel). This pamphlet explains how you get C. diff, symptoms, treatment, and how you can prevent spreading it to others. If you would like more information, please ask your health care provider or ask to talk with an Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Practitioner.
