Abstract
Intestinal neoplasia comprises a large part of a surgical pathologist’s workload. Pathologists play a key role not only in the classification of malignancies but also in assisting screening programs, identifying incidental neoplasms, and guiding treatment by providing essential prognostic features for individual entities. A large variety of neoplasms affect the intestines, and there is ongoing discovery of new entities and prognostic features for known diseases. Pathologists and trainees should have a solid understanding of key morphologic features, pitfalls, and differential diagnoses. Importantly, pathologists should recognize and communicate features that help their clinical colleagues in making treatment decisions, with the ultimate goal of benefiting the patient first and foremost. The first volume of the Atlas of Intestinal Pathology provides a comprehensive yet concise, primarily visual review of intestinal neoplasms. It also serves as a useful resource primarily for pathologists and trainees in pathology by providing a concise yet comprehensive summary of morphology of intestinal neoplasia. Clinical practitioners and trainees also benefit from an understanding of the pathologic correlates to the diseases they manage.

Abstract
This volume provides a broad and critical presentation of the behavioral and psychosocial treatments of Latinxs with dementia in the United States (U.S.) and across a representative sample of Spanish-speaking countries in the world. The compendium of chapters, written by researchers, practitioners, and policy analysts from multiple disciplines provides a deep exploration of the current state of dementia care for Latinxs in the U.S. and around the globe. The volume is designed to increase and strengthen the collective scientific and sociocultural understanding of the epidemiological and biopsychosocial factors, as well as the overlapping systemic challenges that impact diagnosis and symptom management of Latinxs with dementia. The authors introduce policy options to reduce risk factors for dementia and present culturally-responsive interventions that meet the needs of Latinx patients and their caregivers. Caring for Latinxs with Dementia in a Globalized World: Behavioral and Psychosocial Treatments is a resource that accentuates and contextualizes the heterogeneity in nationality, immigration, race, sexual orientation, gender, and political realities. It is a key reference for a wide range of fields inclusive of demography, geriatrics, gerontology, medicine, mental health, neurology, neuropsychology, nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacology, psychiatry, psychology, rehabilitation, social work, sociology, and statistics all of which, collectively, bear on the problem and the solutions for better care for Latinxs affected by dementia.

Abstract
Neurocysticercosis (neural infection by larvae of Taenia solium) occurs when humans become intermediate hosts of the tapeworm Taenia solium after ingesting its eggs, usually directly from a Taenia carrier. Nowadays, the disease is the most common helminthic infection of the nervous system in humans, and a major cause of acquired epilepsy. It has long been endemic in developing countries of Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa, the Indian subcontinent, and Southeast Asia. Recently, however, mass migration from endemic to non-endemic areas and growth in overseas travel have resulted in an increase in the prevalence of cysticercosis in countries where it was formerly considered exotic. The introduction of modern neuroimaging and serologic techniques has improved the diagnosis of neurocysticercosis, and the development of potent cysticidal drugs has changed the prognosis of most affected patients. Nevertheless, much remains to be learned about this parasitic disease. This book provides a comprehensive and up-to-date review of the various aspects of cysticercosis of the nervous system that will be of interest to all who are involved in the care of patients with the disease. Epidemiology, neuropathology, immunopathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and management are all thoroughly discussed based on current evidence and practice.
Contents
1. History of Taeniasis and Cysticercosis -- 2. Taenia solium: Biological Characteristics and Life Cycle -- 3. Neuropathology of Cysticercosis -- 4. Epidemiology of Human Cysticercosis in Endemic Regions -- 5. Epidemiology of Human Cysticercosis in Non-endemic Regions and in the Traveler -- 6. Immunopathology of Taeniasis and Cysticercosis -- 7. Clinical Manifestations of Neurocysticercosis -- 8. Diagnosis of Taeniasis and Cysticercosis -- 9. Management of Neurocysticercosis -- 10. Control and Perspectives for Elimination of Taenia solium Taeniasis/Cysticercosis.

Abstract
This comprehensive volume covers radiopharmaceuticals developed for pathway-directed systems in imaging and theranostic applications. We now are at the cutting edge of providing personalized treatment with increased use in oncology of these new radiopharmaceuticals. Trends in high-resolution instrumentation development, quality assurance systems and regulatory compliance for radiopharmaceuticals, clinical evaluation of radiopharmaceuticals, and benefits and pitfalls of the current clinical FDG PET are discussed. Radiopharmaceuticals are used for diagnosis of diseases of the central nervous and cardiovascular systems and for staging, restaging, and treatment planning for cancers. Nuclear biomarkers allow precise measurement of molecular pathways on a whole-body image upon administration of functional radiolabeled agents, and nuclear imaging agents have potential use in patient selection, pharmacokinetic, dosage-finding, and proof-of-concept studies. Nuclear imaging agents and hybrid instrumentation also provide sensitive and specific answers for differential responsiveness in therapeutic outcome. This book serves as a reference for moving the discovery and development of radiopharmaceuticals from the workbench to clinical applications. It thus benefits not only clinicians but also translational research scientists, molecular biologists, chemists, imaging scientists, pharmaceutical developers, physicists, and support staff.

Abstract
This volume reviews potential future therapies for heart failure, with a particular focus on ambulatory acute decompensated heart failure and the transitions from therapies in the acute setting to chronic management. Although in the developed world the incidence of and mortality from coronary heart disease and stroke have been declining over the last 15 years, heart failure is increasing in incidence, prevalence and overall mortality, despite advances in the diagnosis and management of the condition. Pharmacologic Trends of Heart Failure builds on the current understanding of pathophysiological mechanisms and insights gained from previous studies of therapeutic interventions. It is designed to establish the baseline level of knowledge that a cardiovascular professional needs to know on a day-to-day basis.

Abstract
This book is a collection of short accounts of the lives and works of surgeons who began to use techniques in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries that were to form the basis of reconstructive and cosmetic surgery and give rise to the specialty of plastic surgery. Descriptions of the intricate and novel surgical operations undertaken by these pioneers are included, but the emphasis is above all on stories of widely varying and fascinating characters, from the strange or eccentric, such as Hippolyte Morestin, to the serious or ambitious and a few, such as the Dutchman Johannes Esser and the legendary Sir Harold Gillies, who were accomplished in other fields, including business, sport, and art. It is related how the two World Wars played a key role in the development of new techniques, and how the endeavors of the pioneers were sometimes rejected by obstructive or abusive colleagues, impacting on careers and reputations. Pioneers in Plastic Surgery will appeal to all with an interest in the history of the discipline and the figures who shaped its birth and growth.
