Abstract
If you use home parenteral nutrition (HPN), it is very important to be prepared for an emergency (like a weather-related emergency or a natural disaster). It is important to plan before an emergency to make sure you will be able to keep doing your therapy without any interruptions. This pamphlet explains what an HPN emergency plan is, what emergency supplies you should have ready, HPN during a power outage, how to clean your hands with sanitizer, how to run your HPN when your pump battery has run out (the gravity method), and HPN during an evacuation. The pamphlet also includes a Health Emergency Card, where you can write down your medical information, emergency contacts, type of vascular access and location, and your HPN order. Keep a copy of your Emergency Health Card in your HPN emergency pack at all times. Space to write down your individual flow rates for pump tubing via gravity is also included.

Abstract
This book acts as a portable and easy-to-understand reference for surgical trainees or young faculty members that are interested in reviewing procedures on the way to the operating room. This second edition aims to provide a practical hands-on approach to operative trauma management. Following the success of the first edition, chapters were revised, updated, and added due to substantial changes in trauma care over the past few years. Several new experts contributed their knowledge and techniques inside this new edition. For example, chapters on fasciotomy and resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA) have been added. The second edition of The Shock Trauma Manual of Operative Techniques is a valuable reference for practicing surgeons in the community and serves to aid trauma practitioners as they attempt to deal with operative challenges.

Abstract
This concise, accessible book covers anesthesia for hepatico-pancreatic-biliary (HPB) surgery and transplantation, based on randomized clinical trials, meta-analyses, case series, reports, and hands-on experience. The anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology and clinical consequences are discussed, and the close ties between HPB resection and transplant anesthesia are explored. The content reflects current real-world practice, as liver and pancreatic transplant surgeries have substantially improved in terms of blood-loss reduction, fast tracking and reduced risk. The book also addresses anesthetic aspects in connection with the recently introduced and rapidly expanding practice of laparoscopic surgery; with enhanced recovery; and with pancreatic surgery. Anesthesia for Hepatico-Pancreatic-Biliary Surgery and Transplantation is intended for aspiring HPB and transplant anesthetists, anesthesia trainees, and consultants with experience in HPB anesthesia who want to see whether or not they’re up to date on the current standards.

Abstract
The book offers a comprehensive approach to the assessment and treatment of disturbances in facial expression, oral movement, swallowing, breathing, voice and speech production caused by developmental and acquired neurological conditions. The principles outlined are used in patients with different etiologies (e.g. stroke, tumors, traumas). F.O.T. T., developed by Kay Coombes, is a hands-on approach based on an understanding of neurological functions and the way we learn from experience. The approach aims to give the patient experience of physiological posture and movement using facial-oral functions in normal activities of daily living (ADL). Rather than mere “exercises”, F.O.T.T involves meaningful activities aiming to promote participation, according to ICF criteria. Four main areas are covered: nutrition, oral hygiene, nonverbal communication and speech. Each chapter summarises the problems of severely ill patients and shows the clinical reasoning behind the solutions offered. Separate chapters discuss tracheostomy management and the training of the carers involved, including relatives. The chapter authors are experienced specialists (physio-, occupational- and speech-language therapists and physicians), whose contributions aim to provide interdisciplinary perspectives and translate latest research into clinical practice.

It is crucial for professionals involved in the care of persons with all intellectual and developmental disabilities to have a broad understanding of the essential range of issues, and therefore this book provides a truly multi-disciplinary perspective, complete with many figures and illustrations to underline the key points. Undoubtedly, research and clinical practice are much more advanced in the general ageing population than in persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and so professionals and academics must be made fully aware of commonalities and idiosyncrasies of older people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This book presents the ongoing developments concerning mental health and aging, which will become relevant to the intellectually disabled population. Through experience, this book also acknowledges that the impact on the persons themselves and on their carers always needs to be taken into account, with treatment programs established with a multi-faceted team approach in mind. Avoiding the jargon of many titles in this area while maintaining the hands-on approach of clinical practice, this book meshes the practical and scientific worlds, with all chapters written by leading experts in the field. Beyond the US, the IASSIDD support expands the book message worldwide.

Abstract
This book serves as a casebook for clinical nuclear medicine neuroimaging. Clinical interpretation of nuclear medicine neuroimaging studies is often challenging, mainly due to the complexity of neuroanatomy and a lack of supportive reference books. This is an unmet need in many teaching hospitals. Utilizing a hands-on, case-based approach, this textbook guides readers through clinical nuclear medicine neuroimaging of major neurological diseases and conditions, including dementia, epilepsy, and brain death. Included here are basic guidelines and techniques for nuclear medicine neuroimaging practices, set alongside case examples that include standardized imaging display and detailed interpretation. Each chapter begins with examples of normal brain imaging as a reference point for the remainder of the chapter, which then presents detailed case examples of these diseases through various imaging techniques. Each of the cases highlights clinical and imaging key findings and precise impressions. This is an ideal guide for residents, fellows, and even practicing nuclear medicine physicians as a reference and teaching tool for neuroimaging in clinical nuclear medicine. It will be of significant value to residents, trainees, and young physicians in preparation for their in-service tests and board examinations.

Abstract
Minimally invasive aesthetic procedures are an important part of dermatologists’ day-to-day clinical routine. However, plastic surgeons are also becoming more willing to explore them, and minimally invasive cosmetic and aesthetic procedures are now an established interdisciplinary topic. Minimally Invasive Aesthetic Procedures: A Guide for Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons addresses the needs of both these specialties. It provides a comprehensive overview of the most relevant and widely used minimally invasive procedures, presented in a practical and straightforward style. Rather than a broad overview of the literature, it offers a step-by-step guide to clinical procedures. Each chapter explores a single clinical procedure, discussing the theoretical basis; the materials needed; the methods and techniques; clinical follow-up; before-and-after illustrations; as well as the side effects and complications and their management. It also includes a summary of tips and relevant references. With more than a hundred procedures presented and discussed in a clinically applicable format, Minimally Invasive Aesthetic Procedures: A Guide for Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons is a practical manual for all dermatology and plastic surgery practitioners who are interested in aesthetic medicine.
