Abstract
The introduction of techniques that permit visualization of the human nervous system is one of the foremost advances in neuroscience and brain-related research. Among the most recent significant developments in this respect are ultra-high field MRI and the image post-processing technique known as track density imaging (TDI). It is these techniques (including super-resolution TDI) which represent the two major components of 7.0 Tesla MRI Çô Brain White Matter Atlas. This second edition of the atlas has been revised and updated to fully reflect current application of these technological advancements in order to visualize the nervous system and the brain with the finest resolution and sensitivity. Exquisitely detailed color images offer neuroscientists, neurologists, and neurosurgeons a superb resource that will be of value both for the purpose of research and for the treatment of common brain diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and multiple sclerosis.

Abstract
In this book a team of leading experts come together to provide a comprehensive overview of modern imaging of the abdomen and pelvis, with detailed sections on both gastrointestinal and genitourinary imaging. Each chapter has an identical structure and focuses on a particular organ or organ system, allowing the reader to approach the field one topic at a time. Indications for a variety of imaging techniques and examination protocols are clearly described, and the imaging features of normal anatomy and pathologic entities are depicted in an abundance of high-quality images. Care is taken to consider all recent technical developments and new indications, and the diagnostic performance of different imaging modalities is carefully compared. It is anticipated that this book will come to be regarded as the standard work of reference on abdominal and pelvic radiology.

Abstract
This book serves as a tool for general psychiatrists, medical students, residents, and fellows looking for a clinically relevant and high-yield overview of addiction psychiatry in preparation for their board exams – or for everyday clinical practice. Written by expert educators in addiction psychiatry, the text is organized by substances misused and populations affected. This book serves as both a primary learning tool for those new to the field, as well as a reference for those working in addiction treatment. Each chapter begins with summaries of high yield clinical pearls, followed by general information including treatment, and then ends with accompanying board-style review questions. The scope includes understanding substances of misuse and substance use disorders (SUDs), how to evaluate, diagnose, and monitor SUDs, how to treat SUDs both pharmacologically and behaviorally, and critical information for specific populations of patients. Absolute Addiction Psychiatry for Clinical Practice and Review is an excellent resource for all medical students, residents, fellows, and professionals taking certification exams in addiction, including those in psychiatry, addiction medicine, emergency medicine, internal medicine, pain medicine, and others. The chapter Laboratory Testing for Substance Use Disorders is available open access under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License via link.springer.com.

Abstract
This book is a practical guide to the appointment, promotion, and tenure (APT) process for clinical faculty members employed by medical schools. The number of clinical faculty members in US medical schools has increased exponentially in the last two decades. At the same time, faculty career tracks and promotion requirements have changed dramatically and medical schools have introduced multiple non-tenure career tracks. Currently, only about 25% of the approximately 150,000 members of clinical departments. This book provides insights and recommendations on career planning and academic promotion for clinical faculty members. It also addresses much of the "mythology" surrounding the APT process and demonstrates how academic promotion should be used as a career-building process rather than a daunting high-risk event. Topics include concepts and processes within academic promotion; navigating the academic promotion and tenure process; and managing the outcome of the APT application. Academic Promotion for Clinicians is a valuable resource for clinical medicine faculty members as they engage in and successfully handle the challenges in the APT process and thus realize their career goals.

This book summarizes how the renin angiotensin system is implicated in the progression of atherosclerotic disease as well as of left ventricular dysfunction and reviews the action of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors and AT1 receptor antagonists on reducing morbidity and mortality in patients with left ventricular dysfunction or in those at high cardiovascular risk with preserved ventricular function. ACEi and ARBS in Hypertension and Heart Failure is a highly practical reference reviewing the evidence and providing a rationale for the appropriate use of RAS antagonists in cardiovascular diseases. It is written in an easy-to-follow format and with many illustrations to aid clarity and the assimilation of information. Each chapter is written by established authorities in their fields who are also experienced in explaining often complex concepts. The result is a unique book which is not only comprehensive but also clear and useful for the busy medical practitioner.

Abstract
The ACL-Deficient Knee: A Problem Solving Approach, focuses on problem analysis and problem solving, as well as analyzing the possibility of prevention. In each chapter, the biomechanics, anatomy, etc. that are relevant to the topic are reviewed. There are chapters where highly specialized surgical techniques are presented (v. gr. double bundle reconstruction or meniscal transplant), as well as developing areas such as ACL tears in children, where we are finding a growing number of injuries due to the increase of sports at early ages. These chapters are written by internationally renowned specialists who are pioneers in the topics analyzed. To further enhance the educational content, there is a collection of online step by step surgical technique videos that will allow the knee specialist to perform the techniques presented in this book.

Abstract
This volume presents detailed information on surgically relevant anatomy and histology of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), biomechanics, diagnostics, and ACL reconstruction. In light of the growing body of evidence demonstrating the advantages of anatomic ACL reconstruction over traditional methods, there are also discussions of single anteromedial bundle reconstruction and anatomic ACL reconstruction with abundant descriptions of experimental and clinical studies. In addition, particular attention is given not only to techniques such as ACL augmentation, bone-patella tendon-bone reconstruction and computer-assisted navigation, but it also presents expert analysis of revision of ACL reconstruction, complications, and the future perspectives of ACL reconstruction. Edited by authoritative orthopedic surgeon from the Japanese Orthopaedic Society of Knee, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine (JOSKAS), this book provides up-to-date information for orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists specializing in the ACL. The research evidence will broaden readers' understanding and enable them to optimize outcomes for patients. As ACL rupture is a common injury especially for high-level athletes, it will also attract sports trainers and team physicians who are interested in a recent update on this field.

Abstract
Written by and for dermatologists, pediatric and obstetrics specialists. This book presents the groundbreaking work of Dr. Pooya Khan Mohammad Beigi M.D., whose clinical research study on Acrodermatitis Enteropathica (AE) is the largest ever conducted on this rare disorder. The only book of its kind to offer insights into AE, it not only includes dozens of high quality photographs, illustrations, and clinical tables, but also covers everything from the history of AE to categories of the disorder, molecular analysis, epidemiology, disorder signs and symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and more. Acrodermatitis Enteropathica is a rare disorder of zinc metabolism that occurs in one of two forms: inborn and acquired. If untreated, this disease is fatal and affected individuals may die within just a few years. Therefore, it is critical that physicians are aware of the signs and symptoms related to AE and the appropriate treatments available for patients.
