Abstract
This text distinguishes what occupational therapists offer to mental health practice across the life span. It features a client-centered, recovery oriented approach to empower patients to be in control of their own lives and to recognize the contribution of occupational therapy in promoting full participation in daily life. It explains the recovery process for all areas of patients' lives, physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental, and how to manage co-ocurring conditions. This text gives voice to the lived experience of mental illness across the life span. It serves as a guide through assessment and interventions for individuals with mental health conditions and those whose life circumstances generate significant challenges to their participation in valued activities. Key features include: Person-Environment-Occupation (PEO) Model: the organizing principle for this text frames an occupational performance, client-centered, and evidenced-based approach to occupational therapy in mental health; The "lived experience" of mental illness and recovery across the life span: individuals in recovery and their families share their perspectives through photographs and narratives, providing OTs with insights that enable them to better understand the lived experience; Assessment and intervention: more than 230 evidence-based and theoretically grounded assessments and interventions address psychosocial issues; Diagnoses: thorough definitions and discussions emphasize their impact on occupational performance; Environments: full chapters highlight the importance of context, describing the different settings in which occupational therapists work and the environmental factors that impact the lives of individuals in recovery; International expertise: renowned contributors from around the globe share their wealth of knowledge -- From book cover.

Abstract
Dr. Frank H. Netter exemplified the distinct vocations of doctor, artist, and teacher. Even more important—he unified them. Netter's illustrations always began with meticulous research into the forms of the body, a philosophy that steered his broad and deep medical understanding. He often said: “Clarification is the goal. No matter how beautifully it is painted, a medical illustration has little value if it does not make clear a medical point.” His greatest challenge and greatest success was charting a middle course between artistic clarity and instructional complexity. That success is captured in this series, beginning in 1948, when the first comprehensive collection of Netter's work, a single volume, was published by CIBA Pharmaceuticals. It met with such success that over the following 40 years the collection was expanded into an 8-volume series—each devoted to a single body system.

Abstract
Inflammatory breast cancer is a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer that occurs in women of all ages, and, rarely, in men. Variable disease presentation means that this disease is often undetected and patients with this diagnosis have a poor prognosis. Inflammatory Breast Cancer brings together the existing clinical information on inflammatory breast cancer. The content covers epidemiology, risk factors, diagnosis, histopathology and staging, therapy and management of patients with this disease. Recent advances in therapy have improved the prognosis of this type of cancer considerably, making this text a timely addition to the literature. This book is an essential tool for medical, surgical and clinical oncologists specialising in breast cancer, who will inevitably encounter this rare but pernicious disease.

Abstract
In 2011, the General Surgical Oncology Fellowship Program at the University of Toronto sought to develop a practical approach to common oncology problems faced by general surgeons in a collaboration between current and previous fellows, as well as staff at the University of Toronto, including experts from Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Odette Cancer Centre (at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre), Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto General Hospital, St. Michael's Hospital, and St. Joseph's Hospital. This effort culminated in the publication of the Surgical Oncology Manual in March, 2012. The first edition received excellent feedback on its utility from both trainees and practicing surgeons alike. With the ever-changing landscape of surgical oncology, this edition is updated with new evidence and topics in the field, providing a succinct review of surgical oncology with a summary of key evidence in the work-up, treatment, and follow-up for each cancer site as well as a section of "Pearls", derived from the wide breadth of experience, skills, and abilities of the contributors. A clear, concise format has proven invaluable to the intended audience: surgical oncology fellows, practicing general surgeons, general surgery residents, and medical students.

Abstract
This book provides a unique up-to-date and comprehensive overview of the most important diagnostic methods available for assessing liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension. The book covers all the significant advances made in the last 10 years in HVPG and biopsy interpretation, imaging and elastography. This is a unique and well structured book authored by senior experts in the field aimed at providing updated knowledge to the hepatology specialist and to the physicians interested in chronic liver disease. The book starts by giving an overview of the disease, outlining the clinical needs in this field; this is followed by detailed information both on the invasive gold-standard methods (HVPG measurement, liver biopsy, endoscopy), and on the standard and emerging non-invasive methods, including serum markers of fibrosis, ultrasound-elastography, magnetic resonance elastography, ultrasound, contrast-enhanced ultrasound, CT, magnetic resonance and derived methods (dynamic flow assessment). The final part of the book is devoted to diagnostic tests in non-cirrhotic causes of portal hypertension (Budd-Chiari Syndrome, Portal vein thrombosis, idiopathic portal hypertension, etc), and in pediatric portal hypertension. Written by a team of worldwide opinion leaders this book pays special attention to the most promising novel non-invasive methods in the field.

Abstract
This third edition manual provides a comprehensive, insightful, evidenced-based review of general surgical oncology and serves as a valuable resource for general surgeons in training, practicing general surgeons, and surgical oncologists. The volume describes a multidisciplinary approach that integrates clinical, radiologic, and pathologic data in formulating practical clinical management, and offers a practical approach to the most common situations when treating cancer patients. Each chapter focuses on an individual malignancy and describes the presentation of the malignancy, integrated management based on stage, landmark trials, and suggestions for who to discuss at multidisciplinary cancer conferences. Multiple tables in each chapter provide a concise yet comprehensive summary of the current status of the field. Clinical “pearls” or tips and tricks from high volume surgeons at the University of Toronto are also discussed. The third edition of the Surgical Oncology Manual will serve as a critical resource for general surgeons in training and practicing surgeons dealing with this challenging field.

Abstract
This book provides a comprehensive overview of the management of brain and skull base tumors. It features detailed insight into the intrinsic molecular biology, anatomical foundation, radiological planning, surgical execution, and the novel therapeutics that guide today’s treatment regimens. The first section features concepts related to the epidemiology and pathological basis of disease processes, including relevant cellular and molecular biology. In the second section, integral anatomical foundations and principles are covered including microsurgical anatomy of the cerebrum, white matter tracts, ventricles, brainstem, skull base, advancements in radiological imaging, and cognitive examinations. Surgical approaches and how to execute these procedures are then subsequently discussed in the third part of the work. Principles of Neuro-Oncology: Brain & Skull Base is a practically applicable guide to the latest treatment techniques available to treat these patients. Therefore, it is an indispensable resource for all physicians who utilize these methodologies in their day-to-day practice.
