Abstract
Bone Drugs in Pediatrics brings together in one place the evidence for the use of certain drugs in the treatment and prevention of bone loss in children, as well as the reservations still present in the pediatric community regarding their use. Beginning with a discussion of developmental pharmacokinetics and drug development for pediatric diseases where bone loss occurs, such as osteogenesis imperfecta, the physiology of pediatric bone and how best to monitor the safety and efficacy of these drugs is presented. The pros and cons of utilizing the drugs themselves - such as bisphosphonates, anti-resorptives and anabolic agents - within the pediatric population are carefully considered, with an eye toward safe and effective integration. The potential use of drugs infuture treatment is also highlighted. On the whole, Bone Drugs in Pediatrics is a cogent presentation of the ongoing debate surrounding the potential for pharmacological interventions in pediatric bone loss.

Abstract
This book covers all aspects of low field MRI, describing its advantages, problems, and prerequisites. Individual chapters are devoted to site planning, safety considerations, coils, imaging technique, image quality optimization, the imaging of different anatomic regions, and likely future developments. The factors that must be borne in mind when selecting a low field system are clearly identified, and detailed attention is paid to the applications for which such a system is adequate. The focus on high field systems has led to a situation where only a few systems with field strengths lower than 0.5 T survive. Some of these systems possess high field features such as multichannel coils and strong gradients; furthermore, sequence technology and image processing techniques taken from higher field strength systems have resulted in impressive imaging capabilities. While 1.5-T systems will probably continue to remain the standard, low field systems offer advantages such as the feasibility of dynamic joint examinations, improvement of T1 contrast, reduction of "missile effects", and decreased radiofrequency exposure. Low field strength MRI consequently has the potential to contribute to optimal patient management and, given comparable image quality, its application may become an issue of patient safety. This book will be an invaluable asset to all who are involved in planning and/or running a low field strength MRI facility.

Abstract
The authoritative reference on depression and mood disorders, this volume brings together the field's preeminent researchers. All aspects of unipolar and bipolar depression are addressed, from genetics, neurobiology, and social-contextual risk factors to the most effective approaches to assessment and clinical management. Contributors review what is known about depression in specific populations, exploring developmental issues across the lifespan as well as gender and cultural variables. Effective psychosocial and biological treatments are described in detail. Each chapter offers a definitive statement of current theories, methods, and findings, and identifies key questions that remain to be answered.

Abstract
In the last decade, there has been a remarkable explosion of knowledge in hematologic cancer from basic molecular biology and pathology to clinical therapy. This has led to many new advance and insights in the understanding of pathobiology of malignant hematology. New knowledge of disease molecular pathology, cytogenetic, epigenetic and genomic alterations have provided new strategies to attack and eradicate tumor cells at molecular level and significantly impacted our current therapeutics for hematological malignancies. The recent and ongoing rapid expansion of knowledge in this area has become extensive, dynamic and diffuse over the literature and research publications. This has led to the need to capture and compile the new and current information about hematologic cancer with special emphasis on translation from molecular pathobiology to targeted therapeutics. In this book experts from around the world share their thoughts and knowledge about the pathobiology of hematologic cancer, as well as their view on current treatment approaches and future development in these malignant hematologic diseases. This book is well suited for hematology residents, fellows and hematology-oncology physicians, hematopathologist as well as basic research scientist in the area of hematologic malignancies.

Abstract
This book provides a comprehensive, practical, and timely guide to neurorehabilitation for patients affected by tumors of the central nervous system. These patients encounter various physical and psychosocial impairments, due to sensory-motor, psychological and cognitive limitations, as well as depression, anxiety and fatigue. These common tumor and treatment consequences reduce quality of life and produce long-term limitation in functioning and disability that may benefit from rehabilitative interventions. In the early stages of the disease, rehabilitation aims at restoring functioning after tumor treatment, while in the advanced stages, rehabilitation becomes an integral part of palliative care, which aims to increase patients’ independence, to prevent complications and to improve quality of life. Based on an interdisciplinary approach, the book is structured in two main parts. The first is devoted to the basics of cancer and to the main clinical features of the tumors of the nervous system, as well as to the essentials of therapeutic approaches. The second part is dedicated to rehabilitation issues, providing the tools for health personnel to take in charge persons affected by neuro-oncological disease. This unique volume is a valuable resource for all health professionals (physicians, psychologists, trainees nurses specialized in neuro-oncology, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech therapists) involved in the interdisciplinary management of individuals affected by tumors of the central nervous system.
Contents
1. Introduction -- 2. Basics of Brain Tumor Biology for Clinicians -- 3. Classification of Tumours of the Central Nervous System -- 4. Clinical Concepts of Brain Tumors -- 5. Assessment of Neurocognitive Functioning in Clinical Practice and for Trial Purposes -- 10. Cognitive Rehabilitation -- 11. Managing Challenging Behaviour in Brain Tumour (BT) Patients -- 12. Neuropathic Pain in Nervous System Tumours -- 13. Psycho-Oncology in Brain Tumour Patients -- 14. Neuro-Oncology Nursing -- 15.
