Abstract
This heavily revised second edition comprehensively reviews the use of optical coherence tomography (OCT) in cardiovascular practice. It provides detailed guidance on how to properly interpret OCT images and successfully utilise it in daily clinical practice Chapters cover the development and physics associated with OCT, relevant interpretation skills, OCT imaging artifacts, plaque erosion, bioabsorbable stent, the detection of vulnerable plaque, and the use of OCT imaging in unison with other modalities such as phase contrast imaging (PCI). Areas of potential future development are also covered Cardiovascular OCT Imaging enables interventional cardiologists and cardiologists to quickly become both familiar and develop a detailed understanding of this technology to improve patient care and treatment outcome. It is a valuable reference for all practising and trainee medical professionals in cardiology, and in particular those who specialize in interventional cardiology.

Abstract
Osteonecrosis is a disease caused by reduced blood flow to bones in the joints, including the hip, knee, shoulder, and ankle. The disease, which is usually progressive and leads to joint failure, occurs in young adults aged from their twenties to their fifties. The pathogenesis of osteonecrosis is still unclear, and treatment remains controversial. This textbook provides up-to-date and comprehensive information on the pathophysiology, etiology, diagnosis, classification, and treatment of osteonecrosis. The role of various imaging modalities is considered, and both non-surgical and surgical treatment approaches are clearly explained. The contributions, all from experts in the field, are based on presentations at leading international meetings during the past 10 years and on peer-reviewed papers.

Abstract
This book presents state of the art knowledge and guidance on the use of therapeutic colonoscopy for all of the usual indications, including hemostasis for colorectal bleeding, resection of benign and malignant lesions, and decompression and recanalization of obstructed bowel. Technical aspects are covered in detail, with advice on indications and instrumentation and provision of tips and tricks of proven practical value. With respect to polypectomy, separate chapters focus on technique for pedunculated polyps and the choice between endoscopic piecemeal mucosal resection and endoscopic submucosal dissection for large sessile polyps. The closing chapter looks to the future of therapeutic colonoscopy. The clearly written text is supported by numerous helpful illustrations. Over the years, technological developments have markedly increased the therapeutic, as opposed to the diagnostic, role of endoscopy. This book will be an invaluable aid in clinical practice for all who are involved in the performance of therapeutic colonoscopy.
Contents
1. Preparation for Therapeutic Colonoscopy -- 2. Colonoscopic Polypectomy: Punch, Snaring and EMR -- 3. Management of Large Sessile Polyps: EPMR vs. ESD -- 4. Early Colorectal Cancer -- 5. Management of Colorectal Bleeding -- 6. Management of Colonic Obstruction.

Abstract
This well-illustrated book describes a practical approach to the primary management of patients who have multiple injuries, or polytrauma, with the aim of providing medical and paramedical personnel with the knowledge required in order to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. The opening chapters explain initial assessment and management and the early diagnosis and treatment of shock. The primary management of injuries to the head, spine, chest, abdomen, musculoskeletal system, and soft tissues is then discussed in detail. The role played by diagnostic and interventional radiology in trauma management is explained, and an individual chapter is devoted to care of the pediatric patient. The book emphasizes the need for systematic assessment of multiple injuries from head to toe and the fact that the mechanisms and severity of injury and the anatomic disruption will differ in each patient. Taking these factors into account, readers will be able to identify and initiate treatment of those injuries likely to cause most harm to the individual patient.
Contents
1. Initial Assessment and Management -- 2. Management of Shock -- 3. Traumatic Brain Injury -- 4. Spinal Injury -- 5. Thoracic Injury -- 6. Abdominal Injury -- 7. Musculoskeletal Injury -- 8. Soft-Tissue Injury -- 9. The Role of Radiology in Trauma Patients -- 10. Interventional Radiology -- 11. Interhospital Transfer.
