Abstract
This book presents the work and development of endourology and the contribution of East Asian Society of Endourology. This book is intended to familiarize the modern urologists with the common endourology, laparoscopic and robotic urologic procedures and the development of technology, techniques and training. The book is the collection of papers and presentations in Congress of East Asia Society of Endourology. Recognized experts in the field of endourology have contributed to share their experiences and opinions. It consists of latest update and advancement of surgical techniques, technology in minimal invasive surgery. The development of endoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic urological operations is reviewed. A whole session is dedicated to training in endourology are included. Detail descriptions of perioperative preparation, step-by-step surgical procedures and tips/tricks will be emphasized in the corresponding chapters, supplemented by photographs and illustrations. In the first session, techniques on kidney, bladder and prostate surgeries are discussed. In the second session, is dedicated to the advances of new technologies in endourology. The third session covers the important areas of endourology training and the development of endourology. This book is most suitable for urology residents and young fellows who are keen to start their endourological training. Abstract
This book describes the latest modalities such as tau PET imaging for diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, and also provides information on handling and analyzing imaging data that is not found in other books. In addition, it introduces routine imaging studies in the management of dementia in Japan. The prevalence of dementia has increased over the past few decades, either because of greater awareness and more accurate diagnosis, or because increased longevity has created a larger population of the elderly, the age group most commonly affected. Although only clinical assessment can lead to a diagnosis of dementia, neuroimaging in dementia is recommended by most clinical guidelines, and its adjunct role has traditionally been to exclude a mass lesion rather than to support a specific diagnosis. Neuroimaging may be also helpful for developing new strategies to achieve diagnoses as early as possible for therapies aimed at slowing the progression of neurodegenerative diseases manifesting dementia. Under these conditions, all clinicians and researchers who are involved in neuroimaging for dementia should decide which patients to scan, when imaging patients is most useful, which modality to use, how to handle imaging data from many institutions, and which analytical tool to use. This edition comprises contributions from leading Japanese experts in their fields.

Abstract
In this booklet, experts from across the world, including members of the ISAKOS Knee Arthroplasty Committee, offer clear, up-to-date guidance on all aspects of soft tissue or ligament balancing in primary total knee arthroplasty with the aim of enabling the reader to achieve optimal patient outcomes. After an introduction explaining the normal soft tissue condition in the native knee, surgical procedures are described, including techniques for the management of severe deformity. The most striking feature of the booklet, however, is the many pages devoted to the accurate evaluation and clinical relevance of ligament balancing. Different techniques and devices for intraoperative soft tissue assessment are discussed, highlighting, for example, the use of gap-measuring devices or trial liners with load-bearing sensors to achieve more objective evaluation. Above all, special attention is devoted to the crucial issue of the impact of intraoperative soft tissue balance on postoperative results. In the closing chapter, very experienced surgeons introduce intraoperative troubleshooting in order to assist successful completion of arthroplasty.

Part II: Operative procedure 1 - primary TKA: Primary principals in soft tissue balancing -- CR: Measured resection technique -- PS: Gap technique -- BCR: How to achieve near normal kinematics. Part III: Operative procedure 2 - primary TKA: Varus knee - severe cases included -- Valgus knee - severe cases included -- Complicated cases - recurvatum, severe contracture -- Increasing ROM.
