Vous y trouverez de plus des informations sur les prothèses oculaires (œil artificiel) ainsi qu’une liste des symptômes nécessitant une consultation médicale immédiate.
This pamphlet is a French translation of "Eye Removal" pamphlet 0582. Your health care provider has talked with you about why your eye or the contents of your eye must be removed. This pamphlet will help you learn how to safely care for yourself after your procedure. The medical term for eye removal is enucleation. The medical term for removing the contents of the eye and leaving the outer coat (sclera) behind is evisceration. Both procedures mean permanent loss of the eye. This pamphlet explains what will happen before and after your surgery, including wearing a dressing, medication, care at home, and emotions you may have. Information about having a prosthesis (artificial eye) is given. A list of symptoms that require immediate medical attention is provided.

Abstract
Dermatologists commonly treat acne, which affects 40 to 50 million Americans each year and about 85 percent of all patients at some point in their lives. Dermatologists, primary care doctors, and pediatricians see these patients every day in practice. It is important to treat the skin effectively not only to reduce the risk of physical scarring, but also to address the negative psychosocial impact this disease carries. Improving the skin can improve self-confidence, interpersonal relationships, and performance in school or at work. Acneiform Eruptions in Dermatology is a practical, full-color guide to the differential diagnosis of acne vulgaris and the treatment of acne-like conditions. It is organized into sections by subtype of condition (e.g., infections, genetic syndromes, medication-caused) and includes a section of variants of acne that may be misdiagnosed. Within the sections, individual chapters discuss each variant of the condition and begin with a helpful bulleted summary of its defining clinical features. Extensive color clinical images appear throughout the book.

Abstract
Poor adherence to therapy is one of the main obstacles to treatment effectiveness in schizophrenia. It is the main determinant of relapse, hospitalization, symptom persistence, and poor psychosocial functioning and outcome. Adherence to treatment is affected by various factors related to the disease characteristics, to the patient him- or herself, to the treatment, and to the therapeutic relationship. Some of these factors are modifiable, and both pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies have been developed for this purpose. This book addresses the different aspects of adherence to treatment in schizophrenia and related disorders in a systematic but easy-to-use manual format. Chapters focus on a full range of issues, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies to enhance adherence and continuity of care, relevant psychological factors, the importance of the patient-doctor relationship, and the need for an alliance with other care-givers.

Abstract
Edited by Sudhir Diwan, a former Director of Pain Medicine fellowship program at Ivy League Weill Cornell Medical College, and Timothy R. Deer, an internationally renowned expert in neuromodulation and minimally invasive spinal procedures, this atlas covers advanced procedures that normal residency and fellowship programs may not cover. It consolidates information pain fellows usually amass by traveling throughout the country to various specialized weekend courses. Advanced Procedures for Interventional Pain Management: A Step-by-Step Atlas is for physicians that know the fundamentals of pain medicine and want to push their knowledge further. Through easy-to-digest bullet points, extensive diagrams, hundreds of figures, and expanded legends beneath each illustration, this compendium covers techniques such as uoroscopic guidance and radiation safety, endoscopic transforaminal discectomy, endoscopic direct-percutaneous discectomy, transforaminal myelogram, percutaneous facet fusion, percutaneous sacroplasty, vertebral augmentations, percutaneous tumor ablation, percutaneous spinal fusion, minimally invasive spinal decompression (MILD), Interspinous Spacer Placement and advanced neuroaugmentation techniques like high frequency stimulation and DRG stimulation. This book also has a dedicated section on Regenerative Medicine with chapters on platelet rich plasma, stem cell therapy, and intradiscal regenerative therapy. Each chapter has a strict chapter format that includes the indications and contraindications for each procedure, a list of equipment and drugs, a step-by-step illustration-focused how-to, a list of possible post-procedural complications, and bullet-pointed clinical pearls and pitfalls. Within each chapter the authors will also cover the variations of each procedure due to different equipment. This book is ideal for pain medicine fellows, spine surgeons, and interventional pain physicians who want access to the best minds and specialized procedures in a single package.

Abstract
This book provides an informative update on scientific advances relating to transplant dermatology that may be applicable to clinical practice. Commentary is provided on the emerging role of viruses in transplant dermatology, the management of skin disease secondary to transplant medication, sunscreen use in transplant recipients, the role of revision of immunosuppression, and advances in photodynamic therapy. The latest staging and management criteria for high-risk squamous cell carcinoma and the implications for clinical practice are then analyzed. Finally, the management of other cutaneous malignancies is discussed, covering malignant melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, and rarer tumors that also behave aggressively and require special consideration in solid organ transplant patients. Each particular advance is addressed in an individual chapter by leaders in the field. The book both expands current knowledge and complements previous textbooks on the subject.
Contents
