Abstract
This work is a collection of Carl Wenicke's lectures on neuropsychiatry translated into English for the first time. Beginning with basic concepts about normal brain function, the book moves to clinical topics, dealing first with chronic mental disorders and 'paranoid states', and then to the more complex area of acute mental disorders. Many of the featured topics are still clinically relevant, and matters of contemporary debate. Carl Wernicke is one of the pioneers of neurology and psychiatry; clinicians, researchers and historians will find this of great interest.

Abstract
Dr. Harold Chen shares his almost 50 years of clinical genetics practice in this new edition of a comprehensive pictorial atlas, featuring almost 290 genetic disorders, malformations, and malformation syndromes. The author provides a detailed outline for each disorder, describing its genetics, basic defects, clinical features, diagnostic tests, and counseling issues, including recurrence risk, prenatal diagnosis, and management. Numerous color photographs of prenatal ultrasounds, imagings, cytogenetics, and postmortem findings illustrate the clinical features of patients at different ages, patients with varying degrees of severity, and the optimal diagnostic strategies. The disorders cited are supplemented by case histories and diagnostic confirmation by cytogenetics, biochemical, and molecular techniques, when available. Since the publication of the previous edition in 2012, the atlas has been widely accepted and used in light of rapid progress in genetic and gnomic information. In this new edition, additional genetic disorders are added, as well as extensive updates to the previous disorders with new illustrations, supplemented by case and family history, clinical features, and laboratory data, especially molecular confirmation if available. The atlas is written in outline format for ease of use. Atlas of Genetic Diagnosis and Counseling, Third Edition is of great value to medical geneticists, genetic counselors, pediatricians, neonatologists, developmental pediatricians, perinatologists, obstetricians, neurologists, pathologists, and any physicians and health care professionals caring for handicapped children such as craniofacial surgeons, plastic surgeons, otolaryngologists, and orthopedists. It is the definitive volume for helping all physicians to understand and recognize genetic diseases and malformation syndrom es and better evaluate, counsel, and manage affected patients.

Abstract
This new edition will grow to three volumes and significantly expand existing sections on medical management of children with cerebral palsy, research, education and therapies. The first volume will cover the cause of CP, the underlying pathology in the brain and the secondary pathologies in different tissues, such as muscle and bone. There are a fair number of controversies and new techniques, such as PET scans, that are getter attention to make earlier diagnosis. It is still not clear whether early diagnosis makes a long term difference. Epidemiology will also be discussed. The second volume will focus on general medical concerns related to CP on each of the medical specialties and the musculoskeletal section - which served as the main focus of the previous edition. This volume will be updated with an emphasis on gait disorders, spasticity, seizures and movement disorders. New research and techniques on the hip and spine areas will be added as well. The third and final volume will be an expanded and comprehensive resource on therapies. More detail on the latest outcome research and techniques will be provided along with sections on orthotics and novel treatments and techniques. This reference work will build on gaps within the first edition and continue to be the definitive guide for rehabilitation physicians, orthopedics, neurologists and therapists who treat children with CP.

Abstract
This edited volume presents a detailed portrait of couples living with mixed HIV status, where one partner is HIV-positive and the other negative. Readers will come to understand the various and complex ways in which these mixed-status, or serodiscordant couples build a life together within the shadow of HIV-related stigma. Spanning the globe, coverage explores serodiscordance as a negotiated practice and process, inseparable from the social context in which it is situated. The book shows how couples draw on diverse and sometimes contradictory cultural discourses of medicine, romance, and "normality" to make sense of and manage their mixed HIV status and any perceived risks, not uncommonly in ways that depart from prevailing HIV prevention messages. Throughout, compelling personal stories accompany the empirical research, sharing the firsthand experiences of men and women in serodiscordant relationships. Bringing together research from diverse disciplines and geographical regions, this book contributes important insights for future HIV health promotion as well as offers new knowledge to scholarship on the cultural intersections of illness and intimacy. It will appeal to a broad audience working across the fields of HIV, health, gender, sexuality, development, and human rights.
