Abstract
This volume focuses on adult craniopharyngiomas, offering various perspectives. The first part of the book provides an up-to-date overview of the pathogenesis and management of adult craniopharyngiomas, helping readers understand the pathogenesis and molecular pathways. It highlights the importance of animal models for addressing molecular keys and for developing targeted therapies. The second part deals with clinical management, detailing the latest results in the era of endoscopic surgery, including the major contribution of the extended nasal endoscopic approaches for suprasellar and retrochiasmatic tumors. The book also discusses the key aspects of these tumors and how to manage them. The last part of the book addresses the future therapies and recurrences after surgery and radiotherapy. This volume is of interest to neurosurgeons, endocrinologists, paediatricians, radiologists and oncologists.

Abstract
This book provides a comprehensive state-of-the-art review of pediatric nuclear medicine, encompassing both diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Detailed attention is paid to the role of FDG PET-CT within oncology, but a variety of other long-established or less frequently used diagnostic procedures are also covered. Each indication is critically discussed from a clinical perspective, with analysis of benefits and limitations and comparison against the information yield of alternative techniques. The coverage of therapy based on radiopharmaceuticals includes the most relevant current strategies, including those utilizing radioiodine, MIBG, or radiolabelled peptides. In addition, issues concerning the radiation risk of nuclear medicine procedures in children are addressed. All chapters have been written by international experts and include the most up-to-date scientific and clinical information.
Contents

Abstract
This book aims to provide condensed and crystallised knowledge, providing the rationale for investigations and interventions. Emergency medicine is a specialty where time and knowledge are critical factors in deciding appropriate management which could otherwise result in loss of life or limb. The challenge often is to have lucid management plans, whilst standing at the bedside of the patient. In order to address this challenge, a manuscript is needed which aims to enhance the clinical skills of the emergency physician. The objective of this book is to compile a road map for practitioners of emergency medicine, which would guide them through algorithm-based pathways. This format is distinctive by nature for its concise presentation, which facilitates easy reading and early application. Written by global experts, this book aims to be a truly international representation of emergency physicians who have come together to deliver contemporary concepts in emergency patient care.

Abstract
This book presents a wide-ranging series of illustrative clinical cases that cover the main pathologies and areas of interest in diagnostic and therapeutic neuroradiology. The aim is to enable the reader to learn important lessons from real cases that exemplify the caseload and capabilities of a large, modern neuroradiology department. The cases are presented in a quiz format. For each one, the first page documents clinical and imaging findings, followed by questions concerning these findings, differential diagnosis, and other aspects. On the second page, the answers are provided, with concise explanation and discussion. Attention is also drawn to the relevant available literature. Most of the cases derive from the Department of Neuroradiology at the University Hospital Center of Porto (Portugal), which is staffed by a large multidisciplinary team providing cutting-edge services. In addition, some cases from other centers have been included to ensure wider representation of experience. The book will be of particular value for residents and fellows in neuroradiology, radiology, neurology, and neurosurgery.

Abstract
The book offers a comprehensive approach to the assessment and treatment of disturbances in facial expression, oral movement, swallowing, breathing, voice and speech production caused by developmental and acquired neurological conditions. The principles outlined are used in patients with different etiologies (e.g. stroke, tumors, traumas). F.O.T. T., developed by Kay Coombes, is a hands-on approach based on an understanding of neurological functions and the way we learn from experience. The approach aims to give the patient experience of physiological posture and movement using facial-oral functions in normal activities of daily living (ADL). Rather than mere “exercises”, F.O.T.T involves meaningful activities aiming to promote participation, according to ICF criteria. Four main areas are covered: nutrition, oral hygiene, nonverbal communication and speech. Each chapter summarises the problems of severely ill patients and shows the clinical reasoning behind the solutions offered. Separate chapters discuss tracheostomy management and the training of the carers involved, including relatives. The chapter authors are experienced specialists (physio-, occupational- and speech-language therapists and physicians), whose contributions aim to provide interdisciplinary perspectives and translate latest research into clinical practice.

Abstract
This book describes the history of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) covering the period from 1988 to 2014, which includes the transition from the British Paediatric Association (BPA) to the formation of the now established RCPCH. The book contains a collection of viewpoints from paediatricians who held officer posts with the association and College through this time. The authors offer insights and reflections to help the reader understand where the College is at the moment on a variety of core paediatric issues, and significantly where it has come from. The formation of the RCPCH from the BPA was very controversial, with some members resigning from the RCP. Since then, the College has come a long way and is now recognised as the definitive body to speak for children's health in the UK and has forged relationships with many overseas countries. It has produced influential documents, and lobbied for advances in the practice of paediatrics. It has reported on standards for how children should be cared for in emergency and urgent care settings, launched policy to improve how children are looked after in the secure estate, and produced teaching and training materials for child protection among many other contributions to child health. Finally, it will be of interest to other Colleges and professional bodies as well as to Members and Fellows of the College.
