Abstract
This book provides a well-illustrated, comprehensive, and up-to-date account of Hodgkin lymphoma. Epidemiology, pathogenesis, and the role of the microenvironment are examined in detail. The initial clinical evaluation and use of staging systems are fully discussed, and prognostic factors are carefully considered. The various treatment options for first-line and relapsed Hodgkin lymphoma are presented, including the newly available treatments for recurrent disease and the management required in special clinical circumstances. Given the very high cure rates and the young age of many patients, there is an increasing need to develop better individually tailored treatment strategies that will help to avoid both early and late side-effects of treatment. Such strategies receive due attention, and clear guidance is provided on the handling of Hodgkin survivors. This book will be of great value to hematologists, oncologists, and all others with an interest in Hodgkin lymphoma.

Abstract
Serous (peritoneal, pleural and pericardial) effusions are a frequently encountered clinical finding in everyday medical practice and one of the most common specimen types submitted for cytological evaluation. The correct diagnosis of effusions is critical for patient management, as well as for prognostication and yet many clinicians find diagnosis and treatment of cancer cells in effusions very challenging. Featuring multiple microscopic illustrations of all diagnostic entities and ancillary techniques (immunhistochemistry and molecular methods), this book provides a comprehensive, authoritative guide to all aspects of serous effusions, including etiology, morphology and ancillary diagnostic methods, as well as data related to therapeutic approaches and prognostication. Section One covers diagnosis for benign and malignant effusions including the etiological reasons for the accumulation of effusions that provides the reader with the full spectrum of differential diagnoses at this anatomic site. Section Two discusses biology, therapy and prognosis highlighting clinical approaches that may be of value to patients and the movement towards personalized medicine and targeted therapy. Written by experts in the field internationally, Serous Effusions will provide an indispensible guide to all aspects of current practice for cytopathologists, cytotechnicians, pathologists, clinicians and researchers in training and practice.

Abstract
Emotional, behavioral, and neuropsychiatric conditions are common in individuals with intellectual disabilities (IDs), most notably epilepsy, aggression, self-injurious behaviors, and bipolar and other mood disorders. Despite the prevalence of such problems, there is a scarcity in the literature of reliable information on medical treatments for those with IDs. A Practitioner's Guide to Prescribing Antiepileptics and Mood Stabilizers for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities provides a detailed framework for prescribing for this challenging population. Featuring the most up-to-date information on factors that inform prescribing, the Guide addresses basic issues and controversies (e.g., the rift between evidence-based and personalized medicine) in treating adults with cognitive deficits. Clients' specific needs are emphasized in developing appropriate and effective pharmacological intervention for improved outcomes and quality of life. Drugs discussed in the Guide include carbamazepine, clonazepam, diazepam, ethosuximide, felbamate, gabapentin, lacosamide, lamotrigine, levetiracetam, lithium, lorazepam, oxcarbazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, pregabalin, primidone, rufinamide, átiagabine, topiramate, valproate, and zonisamide. For each of these compounds, the guidelines cover: Indications for use; Relative and absolute contraindications; Assessment during treatment; Therapeutic drug monitoring; Warning signs and symptoms for caretakers; Dosage: administration, initial and maximum recommended dosage; Modifications associated with drug-drug interactions, personal characteristics, and (where appropriate) genetic variations; Adverse drug reactions: common, relatively uncommon, and potentially lethal, plus risk of metabolic syndrome. Guidelines for discontinuation. References, tables, and drug utilization reviews. A Practitioner's Guide to Prescribing Antiepileptics and Mood Stabilizers for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities is an indispensable decision-making reference for psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, psychopharmacologists, neurologists, internists, and clinical psychologists.

Abstract
As with other books in the Molecular Pathology Library Series, Molecular Pathology of Lung Cancer bridges the gap between the molecular specialist and the clinical practitioner, including the surgical pathologist who now has a key role in decisions regarding molecular targeted therapy for lung cancer. Molecular Pathology of Lung Cancer provides the latest information and current insights into the molecular basis for lung cancer, including precursor and preinvasive lesions, molecular diagnosis, molecular targeted therapy, molecular prognosis, molecular radiology and related fields for lung cancer generally and for the specific cell types. As many fundamental concepts about lung cancer have undergone revision in only the past few years, this book will likely be the first to comprehensively cover the new molecular pathology of lung cancer. It provides a foundation in this field for pathologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, thoracic surgeons, thoracic radiologists and their trainees, physician assistants, and nursing staff.

Abstract
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Research: Evidence-Based Practice and Practice-Based Evidence continues the important work of the first book published in 2009 by Humana Press (Handbook of Evidence-Based Psychodynamic Psychotherapy: Bridging the Gap Between Science and Practice). This landmark title presents in one volume significant developments in research, including neuroscience research, in psychodynamic psychotherapy by a team of renowned clinician-researchers. The demand for ongoing research initiatives in psychodynamic psychotherapy from both internal and external sources has increased markedly in recent years, and this volume continues to demonstrate the efficacy and effectiveness of a psychodynamic approach to psychotherapeutic interventions in the treatment of psychological problems. The work in this volume is presented in the spirit of ongoing discussion between researchers and clinicians about the value of specific approaches to specific patients with specific psychiatric and psychological problems. Multiple forms of treatment interventions have been developed over the past fifty years, and this volume makes clear, with firm evidence, the authors' support for the current emphasis on personalized medicine. Groundbreaking and a major contribution to the psychiatric and psychologic literature, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Research: Evidence-Based Practice and Practice-Based Evidence provides firm grounding for advancing psychodynamic psychotherapy as a treatment paradigm.

Abstract
Just a few years ago, dire predictions of escalating technology costs and adverse demographics informed a downbeat view of the future of medicine in which struggling governments would fall behind in their public commitments to healthcare. This volume is part of today's more optimistic assessment in which huge efficiencies can be wrought through 'personalized' medicine: patients, for example, have no need to visit clinics when biochemical monitoring can be achieved in the comfort of their own homes, the results sent wirelessly, in real time, to the specialist's database. With contributions spanning the experiences of 15 nations from the USA to Turkey, Taiwan and the UK, the contents of this book show what is possible in implementing personalized medicine in a heterogeneous set of contexts. Today's burgeoning use of advanced early and predictive diagnostics, targeted prevention and personalized medical approaches will accelerate as advances in patient profiling and innovative bio/medical technologies come on stream. They could enable many of tomorrow's elderly to reach 100 years of age in good physical and mental health, as actively contributing members of society. The scope of coverage in this volume provides a comprehensive and unrivaled review of historical, cultural, demographic, ethnic, socio-economic, political, and other aspects of personalized medicine. It shows that reaping the benefits of this kind of medical care requires careful regulations in healthcare and skilful political planning.

Abstract
The most recent developments in diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of Gliomas (glioblastoma) in the brain are presented. áThe importance of personalized medicine and clinical validation for targeted therapy are discussed. The identification of various types of biomarkers (determined by molecular genetics) is included, along with their advantages and limitations as markers in tumor detection and diagnosis. The identification and validation of brain cancer (glioblastoma) genes are discussed. The role of cancer stem cells in the initiation and persistence of malignant gliomas is explained; response of glioblastoma cancer stem cells to various growth factors, such as epidermal growth factor receptor kinase inhibitor, is explained. The use of surgical resection, chemotherapy (e.g., temozolomide), immunotherapy, and radiation therapy for glioblastoma patients is included. Biological impediments for chemotherapy and radiotherapy for malignant glioblastoma are pointed out. Standard (established) as well as newer imaging modalities (proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy) are discussed. Also included are proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy in intracranial gliomas, and the use of proton magnetic spectroscopic imaging in determining the infiltration zone in gliomas. The role of molecular signaling in the CNS cancer development is explained, including cell death signaling in glioblastoma multiforme.

Abstract
The biology, behavior and management of diffuse low-grade gliomas (DLGG) in adults have been matters of controversy for many decades. However, recent technical and conceptual advances in genetics, imaging and treatments have paved the way towards individualized management. In addition, advancing knowledge of brain processing means that it is possible to take into consideration the interaction between the disease (low-grade glioma) and the host (the brain) and thus to modulate the therapeutic strategies with the goal to increase the median survival as well as to improve the quality of life. Diffuse Low-Grade Gliomas in Adults: Natural History, Interaction with the Brain, and New Individualized Therapeutic Strategies presents the latest research pertaining to the diagnosis, therapy and management of diffuse low-grade gliomas (DLGG) in adults, with a particular focus on the path towards individualized therapy for this kind of tumor. Recent research on the natural history of DLGGs and their interaction with the brain has led to new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies which increase survival and quality of life of the patient, and these methods are described in this book. This book uniquely focuses on addressing diffuse low-grade gliomas in adults and is a valuable resource for medical oncologists, neuro-oncologists and neurologists.

Abstract
The economic burden of dementia was estimated as being US$ 604 billion in 2010. Now it is time for new guidelines in handling of neurodegenerative disorders. Optimistic versus Pessimistic Prognosis depends much on diagnostic and treatment approaches which healthcare will preferably adopt in the near future. Current dramatic situation can be significantly improved by the implementation of appropriate early diagnostic, targeted preventive measures and therapies tailored to the person advancing healthcare and enhancing the patient life quality. Neurodegenerative Diseases are pathologies of multi-factorial nature involving interplay of epi/genetic and environmental risk factors. Insights into molecular pathomechanisms will enable to create the most effective neuro-protective strategies and individualised treatment before manifest pathology. Utilization of the advanced integrative medical approach could enable a significant portion of population to reach the 100-year age limit remaining vibrant in excellent physical and mental health as actively contributing members of the society. The crucial role of the integrative approach by PPPM has been acknowledged as priorities by World Health Organization, United Nations and the European Union among others. Extensive efforts of international consortia are essential in the field to consolidate the accumulated expertise and to create population screening, robust diagnostic approaches, effective prevention in groups at high risk and targeted treatments. This book volume "Neurodegenerative Diseases: Integrative PPPM Approach as the Medicine of the Future" is intended to serve as a reference source for basic researchers and healthcare industry involved in the field of neurosciences with a special emphasis on mental health promotion and innovations intended to delay or even prevent neurodegenerative diseases.
