Abstract
Why do some changes fail while others succeed? How can you make sense of the many tools and approaches for managing change? How can you lead change successfully, both in your personal life and professional career? After more than 14 years of research with corporate change, the ADKAR (awareness, desire, knowledge, ability and reinforce) model has emerged as a holistic approach that brings together the collection of change management work into a simple, results oriented model. This model ties together all aspects of change management including readiness assessments, sponsorship, communications, coaching, training and resistance management. All of these activities are placed into a framework that is oriented on the required phases for realizing change with individuals and the organization. The ADKAR perspective can help you develop a "new lens" through which to observe and influence change. You may be working for change in your public school system or in a small city council. You may be sponsoring change in your department at work. You may be observing large changes that are being attempted at the highest levels of government or you may be leading an enterprise-wide change initiative. The perspective enabled by the ADKAR model allows you to view change in a new way. You can begin to see the barrier points and understand the levers that can move your changes forward. ADKAR allows you to understand why some changes succeed while others fail. Most importantly, ADKAR can help your changes be a success. Based on research with more than 1100 companies from 59 countries, ADKAR is a simple and holistic way to manage change.

Abstract
This book provides a visual demonstration of normal and ectopic locations of parathyroid adenomas using different modalities in patients with PHPT and to describe parathyroid gland–related pathology. It includes several modern imaging modalities for localization of parathyroid glands and parathyroid adenomas, such as Sestamibi scan, SPECT/CT Sestamibi scan, neck ultrasound, MRI, thin-cut CT, and 4D CT scans. Written by experts in the field, chapters include pathology images corresponding to radiology imaging for some presented cases (gross and high-power view). Authors have also collected radiological images of difficult-to-localize parathyroid adenomas in ectopic (abnormal) locations. The atlas is organized by location of the adenomas in upper and lower eutopic locations followed by ectopic locations. Each case demonstrates dual or triple modalities such as US, Sestamibi scan, or SPECT/CT Sestamibi scan, thin-cut CT scan, or 4D CT performed on the same patient. A chapter on parathyroid pathology is also included to help the reader understand challenges in pathological interpretation. Atlas of Parathyroid Imaging and Pathology serves as a valuable reference for radiologists, endocrine surgeons, head and neck surgeons, ENT surgeons, surgical oncologists, endocrinologists, pathologists, nephrologists, students, and all physicians and allayed health practitioners involved in the treatment of patients with primary, secondary, and tertiary hyperparathyroidism.

Abstract
This atlas is a comprehensive guide to the treatment and correction of scars. It is divided into four sections covering the different types of scar: atrophic and stretch marks, keloid and hypertrophic, normotrophic, and mixed. For each scar type, the various invasive and minimally invasive procedures and their results are documented with the aid of numerous high-quality photographs. In the section on keloid and hypertrophic scars, treatment is presented according to scar localization. In addition, the influence of etiology on treatment is considered, with distinction between scars due to injuries, animal bites, inflammatory diseases (including acne and varicella), and burns. Care is taken to distinguish between approaches suitable for fresh scars (in the inflammation, proliferation, and maturation phases) and those appropriate for scars present for more than one year. Potential adverse effects and complications of treatment are also explored.

Abstract
This book highlights the importance of investigating for ADHD in adults with attention difficulties, poor memory and executive function impairments. The authors advocate a neurodevelopmental assessment approach in all phases of life, and explain how to perform such assessments. The identification of ADHD in adults with other psychiatric and neurological disorders will lead to a better response to treatments, and as a result reduce its social, economic and personal burden. ADHD can no longer be considered solely a pediatric condition, as it occurs in a significant proportion of adults worldwide. However, ADHD in adults is often unrecognized and untreated. Diagnosing the disorder in adulthood is a challenge, due not only to the different clinical presentation in this phase of life, but also to the fact that other conditions may mask the symptoms. ADHD constitutes a hidden comorbidity with a detrimental impact of those affected, and a poor response (or even non-response) to several treatments. Intended for psychiatrists, neurologists, specialists in gerontology and neuropsychology, this book is an indispensable resource for all mental health practitioners who want to optimize the treatment of patients affected by psychiatric and neurological disorders who respond poorly to standard treatments.

Abstract
This book provides a wide-ranging overview of the sexual consequences of cancer and its treatment with the aim of equipping physicians and other health care providers with the awareness and knowledge required in order to offer patients effective treatment. While sexuality may not be the primary focus for cancer patients, at some point, whether because of sexual changes of relationship issues, many patients come to acknowledge the effects that cancer and its treatment have had on their sexuality. Although the impacts are frequently similar, significant variation is observed. Some patients experience changes in all phases of sexual response, while others experience none; moreover, the consequences of the effects may be felt differently by patients and partners. Unfortunately, many physicians and health care providers remain insufficiently aware of the impact of cancer on sexuality and/or lack knowledge about the concerns of patients and the available treatments and coping strategies. A further issue is the reticence of physicians to discuss sexuality and the fear of sexologists to talk to patients about cancer. Readers will find this book to be a rich source of help in overcoming these constraints and delivering suitable care to patients.

Abstract
This volume provides integral knowledge of all aspects of stroke care and rehabilitation after stroke, and is therefore highly relevant for nurses who work in rehabilitation centers. It outlines the several phases after stroke, for example the type of care patients may receive in the chronically phase at home. Nurses will obtain knowledge about treatment, importance of observation and caring with a special focus on communication problems, swallowing problems, activities of daily living, urinary and defecation problems, shoulder and hand issues. Thanks to photographs, nurses will learn to transfer patients in the adequate positions. Several chapters provide nurses with examples of effective and efficient collaboration with multidisciplinary professionals, informal caregivers and patients themselves. There is also an emphasis on behavior and cognitive functioning. And lastly, in the final chapters authors highlight the organization of rehabilitation and integrated care issues. Nurses play a very important role in rehabilitation, education, counseling, prevention, and caring for patients with cerebrovascular accident (CVA). In caring for stroke patients, nurses need specific competences and abilities that go beyond the general neurologic knowledge and experience. Nurses need to collaborate in an efficient and effective manner with multidisciplinary team members in their organization and across organizations. This book discusses medical aspects and specific symptoms of a stroke, as well as the limitations that patients experience, and which interventions are indicated for recovery.

Abstract
In times of emergency, clear communication is critical to saving lives and preventing further destruction. Operations in the field, negotiations between governments and relief organizations, and planning and training sessions all require collaboration among people from various disciplines using different terminologies. Without a common lexicon, misunderstandings and other communication errors can lead to the loss of valuable time, scarce resources, and lives'and during an era marked by climate disasters, warfare, industrial accidents, and threats of bioterrorism, the stakes are increasingly high. It is in this spirit that the original Dictionary of Disaster Medicine and Humanitarian Relief was assembled, and the same holds true for this timely Second Edition. This practical resource boasts more than twice the number of entries as the first edition: definitions, abbreviations, and acronyms covering all phases of humanitarian aid, from planning and preparedness to rescue and recovery. Its contents have been field-tested across the emergency intervention community, and are as useful in communicating with the media and the public as with colleagues. This expanded edition of the Dictionary of Disaster Medicine and Humanitarian Relief ably follows its predecessor as an authoritative resource for researchers and professionals in global health, health promotion, public health, public health policy, and disaster management.

Abstract
The purpose of this book is to improve diagnostic yields of capsule endoscopy and double-balloon endoscopy, because those procedures can depict nonspecific findings that may not lead to a proper diagnosis. Another reason for the publication was recognition of the difficulty in distinguishing enteroscopic findings of ulcerative colitis from those of Crohn's disease. From a practical point of view, it is important to observe endoscopic pictures first, then to compare the images of other modalities, and finally to compare macroscopic pictures of resected specimens. For that reason, a large number of well-depicted examples of small intestinal lesions were assembled to clarify differences among small intestinal lesions that appear to exhibit similar findings and morphologies. Comparisons with radiographic findings comprise another important element in diagnosis. There are limitations in endoscopic observations of gross lesions of the small intestine, with its many convolutions. In Japan, many institutions still practice double-contrast imaging, which provides beautiful results. Because a single disorder may exhibit variations, this volume includes multiple depictions of the same disorders. Also included are lesions in active and inactive phases, as both appearances are highly likely to be encountered simultaneously in clinical practice. The number of illustrated findings therefore has been limited to strictly selected cases.

Abstract
This first-of-its-kind textbook marks a revolutionary effort to reform medical education nationally by providing a comprehensive, high-quality resource to serve as a foundation for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) health education across multiple disciplines. Addressing the decades-long unequal weight of medical education generally offered about the care of LGBTQ people, The Equal Curriculum was created to advance clinicians' competencies in optimizing the health of LGBTQ people. This textbook is designed to be integrated into health sciences curricula and offers pointed strategies to evaluate the integration of LGBTQ health topics. Starting with a brief overview, chapters 1 through 4 cover general content that is highly relevant to all health professionals working with LGBTQ people. Chapters 5 through 12 focus on specific patient populations and clinical specialties, and chapters 13 and 14 cover special topics. Key points in each chapter are highlighted to aid in the comprehension, and case vignettes are provided throughout the textbook, allowing learners to apply the content to clinical scenarios in order to evaluate how the application of relevant knowledge may impact health outcomes. Questions similar to National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) style are provided in most chapters to assist in the application of content. As major addition to the clinical literature, The Equal Curriculum: Student and Educator Guide to LGBTQ Health should be of great interest to health sciences instructors, medical students in their preclinical and clinical phases, and trainees from other disciplines, such as physician assistants, nurses, social workers, and public health professionals.

Abstract
Evidence based herbal drugs are on high-acceptance day by day due to health friendly nature compared to synthetic drugs. The active ingredients in herbal drugs are different chemical classes, e.g. alkaloids, coumarins, flavonoids, glycosides, phenols, steroids, terpenes etc., are identified at molecular level using current analytical practices, which are unique characteristic, as finger, so known as fingerprints. The fingerprints are used for assessment of quality consistency and stability by visible observation and comparison of the standardized fingerprint pattern, have scientific potential to decipher the claims made on these drugs for authenticity and reliability of chemical constituents, with total traceability, which starts from the proper identification, season and area of collection, storage, their processing, stability during processing, and rationalizing the combinational in case of polyherbal drugs. These quality oriented documents have ample scientific logics so well accepted globally by regulatory authorities and industries, to determine intentional/ unintentional contamination, adulteration, pollutants, stability, quality, etc. parameters. Based on geo-climatic factors, a same plant species has different pharmacological properties due to different ingredients; such regional and morphological variations are identified by fingerprints, at the time of collection of the medicinal herb. The chromatographic (TLC, HPTLC, HPLC, GC,) and spectral (UV-Vis., FTIR, MNR, MS, LC-MS, GC-MS etc.) techniques have world-wide strong scientific approval as validated methods to generate the fingerprints of different chemical classes of active ingredients of herbal drugs. Presently there is a need for a book having all the fingerprinting techniques for herbal drugs at a place with theory, case studies and art to discover patentable forms. The present book is a milestone in the subject, to be utilized by Scientists, Medical Doctors, Technicians, Industrialists, Researchers, and Students both in PG and UG levels.

Abstract
Interprofessional Evidence-Based Practice: A Workbook for Health Professionals promotes active, team learning of interprofessional evidence-based practice (EBP). This text is distinctive in that it departs from the tradition of EBP occurring from a single disciplinary perspective. Interprofessional EBP is described in terms of a dynamic team process that blends the patient's preferences and values, and the expertise of practitioners from multiple disciplines, and incorporates multidisciplinary evidence. Teams learn to use the nine phases in the interprofessional process to challenge current disciplinary paradigms and biases to create an integrated approach to patient care, health care delivery, or population health. Drs. Penelope Moyers and Patricia Finch-Guthrie focus on developing and fostering collaboration between academic institutions and health care organizations so that students and faculty participate on interprofessional teams with mentors and staff from a health care organization. Interprofessional Evidence-Based Practice: A Workbook for Health Professionals also addresses the communication and cross-organizational factors important for supporting the work of the team. The text provides detail for developing and launching an interprofessional EBP program that goes beyond the evidence process to include implementation science to support practice change. Approaches for developing partnerships for supporting this type of program between universities and health care institutions are contained within, including sample partnership agreements and resource-sharing strategies. Inside Interprofessional Evidence-Based Practice: A Workbook for Health Professionals, each chapter includes performance objectives, key words, checklists, and materials and resources that an interprofessional team can use. PowerPoint lectures, mentor newsletters, forms, tools, and other resources are included on a companion website to guide team learning about key EBP topics, as well as to support the program coordinators and team mentors in their work with the interprofessional teams. Interprofessional Evidence-Based Practice: A Workbook for Health Professionals is the go-to resource for those who want to engage in interprofessional EBP, and for leaders who want to develop and implement an interprofessional EBP program.

Abstract
In this book, the reader is guided through a modern diagnostic work-up and classification of leprosy, with discussion of the results of physical examination (interpretation of the primary skin lesion and clinical features of peripheral neuropathies), laboratory data, and histopathologic and imaging investigations. This combined approach allows planning of an integrated therapeutic strategy with the aim of killing the Mycobacterium leprae and preventing the acute phases of the disease. The book is designed for practical use and has been divided into eight easily accessible sections covering all relevant topics related to leprosy. These sections are written by renowned leprosy experts from different specialties, including dermatologists, neurologists, radiologists, neurosurgeons, and microbiologists. There is specific focus on the two organs most often involved by leprosy: the skin and nerves. Up-to-date leprosy statistics have been also reported at the end of the book.
