Abstract
This book is a comprehensive and authoritative text on the subject of cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR). Imaging experts from the most medically advanced areas of the world discuss the basic principles of this modality in detail while maintaining a focus on the needs of cardiovascular imagers who wish to learn more about this subject but do not have a strong background in physics. CMR is now considered a clinically important imaging modality for patients with a wide variety of cardiovascular diseases. Recent developments have influenced a wide variety of cardiovascular imaging applications, many of which are now routinely used in clinical practice in CMR laboratories around the world. That it is non-invasive and lacks ionizing radiation exposure make CMR uniquely important for patients whose clinical condition requires serial imaging follow-up. Basic Principles of Cardiovascular MRI: Physics and Imaging Techniques includes a wealth of CMR examples in the form of high-resolution still images. Each imaging technique is discussed in separate chapters that include the physics and clinical applications (with cardiovascular examples) of that particular technique. As such, this book will be essential for cardiovascular medicine specialists and trainees , cardiovascular physicists, and clinical cardiovascular imagers.

Abstract
Filaggrin proteins are expressed in several human tissues, including the skin, oral mucosa, conjunctivae, esophagus, cervix, and testes. While filaggrin guarantees both structural and functional normality of the human epidermis, its role in other tissues is largely unknown. Epidermal deficiency of filaggrin causes dry and scaly skin, but also strongly increases the risk of skin diseases, in particular ichthyosis vulgaris and atopic dermatitis. Importantly, the risk of related asthma, hay fever, and food allergy is also increased although filaggrin is not expressed in the airways and gastrointestinal tract. Common FLG mutations, leading to reduced filaggrin expression, have mainly been identified in Europeans and Asians, reaching a prevalence of 5-10%. Even in the absence of atopic dermatitis, the skin of individuals with FLG mutations differs fundamentally from normal skin, for example by generating more vitamin D and allowing chemicals and allergens to more widely penetrate across the stratum corneum. This textbook provides comprehensive and detailed coverage of the effects of filaggrin and filaggrin gene (FLG) mutations in health and disease (cutaneous and non-cutaneous) and also discusses the basic science, epidemiology, management, and future research areas.

Abstract
This book provides a broad overview of quality health care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). It focuses on providing the reader a practical approach to dealing with the health and well-being of people with IDD in general terms as well as in dealing with specific conditions. In addition, it offers the reader a perspective from many different points of view in the health care delivery system as well as in different parts of the world. This is the 3rd, and much expanded edition, of a text that was first published by Rubin and Crocker in 1989 (Lea and Fibiger). The second edition was published by Rubin and Crocker in 2006 (Paul Brookes) and has been used as a formal required text in training programs for physicians, nurses and nurse practitioners as well as by administrators who are responsible for programs serving people with IDD. This book is considered the "Bible" in the field of health care for people with IDD since 1989 when the first edition came out.

Abstract
This book focuses on actual morphofunctional findings of cells and tissues in living animal organs. Medical and biological scientists need to know the real in vivo morphology and immunolocalization of the molecular components in living animal organs. Recently, the live imaging of cells and tissues of animals with fluorescence-labeled proteins by gene manipulation has become more and more popular in biological fields. Current research, meanwhile, has revealed that immunohistochemical or morphological studies exclusively depend on living animal organs. The cryotechnique is one of the most useful tools for immunohistochemistry and bioimaging of animal organs. This book describes the epoch-making cryotechnique originally developed by the editors. The book also makes the management of living animal morphology more accessible not only for biomedical researchers but also for clinical doctors, providing a valuable resource work on the current perspectives of in vivo morphology.
