We also work with family and friends who are impacted by mental illness and/or addiction. You do not need to be receiving treatment in order for your family and friends to get support. This pamphlet was created to answer any questions you may have surrounding expectations, safety and privacy concerns, and also gives contact information for mental health resources in the community. Information is given on how you can provide feedback about your experience.

This booklet is a guide to help you better understand chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy (CAR T-cell therapy). Topics include what CAR T-cell therapy is, enrollment in the program, T-cell collection, monitoring/bridging therapy, chemotherapy (lymphodepletion), CAR T-cell infusion, monitoring post-cell infusion, key inpatient discharge information, information about long term follow-up care and care at home, ongoing side effects, and information for the CAR T-cell care partner. Information about Cell Therapy Transplant Program policies, the Medical Day Unit and Hematology Clinic, shingles, recommended vaccinations, and emotional support resources is included. A map of the QEII Health Sciences Centre Victoria General site is provided.

Healthy eating can help lower your risk of heart disease by controlling your weight, lowering your cholesterol, and preventing or controlling high blood pressure. Suggestions for healthy eating are offered such as tips for lowering your salt intake, increasing fibre, tips to help you eat more vegetables and fruit, and how to eat less sugar and fat.
