Abstract
Imaging of Newborns, Infants, Children and Adolescents Children and adolescents are not simply small adults; they suffer from different diseases and require different treatments. The same is true where imaging is concerned. The diagnostic strategies--using identical diagnostic instruments--are different; the care prior to, during, and following the examination differs from that of adults. Because the number of Centers for Pediatric Radiology is small, students as well as pediatricians and general radiologists lack training in pediatric radiology and are often not sufficiently aware of these differences. Active radiation protection and avoidence of unnecessary high contrast media doses are number one priority in diagnosing and treating children and can be achieved through: Avoidance of X-rays and CT scans. Substitution with non-ionizing radiation such as ultrasonography and MRI where possible while ensuring diagnostic reliability; Reduction of the radiation dose and number of views. This can be realized by following the ALARA principle: "as low as reasonably achievable" Weight and indication tailored contrast media dosing This CME accredited Manual provides a comprehensive overview on the field of pediatric radiology and suggests imaging strategies for the most common clinical indications in children and adolescents.

Abstract
Images in Urology is a unique book that integrates images of urological conditions within their clinical context. Improvements in imaging techniques have meant greater diagnostic power and a dramatic rise in the number and quality of images obtained and viewed by practicing clinicians. None more so than in the field of urology, where static and dynamic images are fundamental to the diagnosis and treatment of almost all conditions. This book presents images of radiological and radionucleotide scans, macroscopic and microscopic histopathology specimens, urodynamic traces and photographs of dermatological conditions relating to urology. Each section has a series of questions, often relating to a clinical scenario, about the images. A comprehensive answer provides a description of each image and of the condition shown. Details of how to interpret the image and the use of contrast or staining methods to help differentiate normal anatomy from pathology are included. Images in Urology is an essential tool for urology, radiology and histopathology trainees and consultants, as well as being an excellent exam preparation guide.

Abstract
This volume acquaints the non-neuropathologist with the advantages of clinical-radiologic-pathologic correlation in neuropathology specimens, particularly in the intra-operative environment. This volume covers the enormous and sometimes insurmountable artifacts involed with freezing tissue, especially central nervous system tissue and how a good cytology preparation can add to, or even supply in isolation, a diagnosis. The text presents how to perform, and stain the cytologic preparations, and how to interpret them. The advantages and disadvantages of both frozen sections and cytologic preparations of various kinds are discussed. The presentation and format is very visual with diagrams, tables (including pearls and pitfalls), and many figures (therefore easy reading). An introductory chapter presents the pros and cons of supplemental cytology, the advantages and disadvantages of frozen sections, and the artifacts in both. Also included is an argument for knowing what the scans reveal and the impact of relevant patient history. The volume uses a case-based approach to show correlation between scan, history, frozen section and cytologic preparations. With the combination of extensive correlation of scans, cytology and frozen section with differential diagnosis, and analysis of the information crucial to the neurosurgeon in a case-based approach and with a special chapter written by a neuroradiologist, this volume is unique in presentation and utility and will be of great value to the trainee in pathology (residents/fellows), and practicing pathologists who include neuropathology in their practice, but do not have formal fellowship training in neuropathology.
Contents

Abstract
PET-CT is increasingly being employed in the diagnosis of both oncological and non-oncological patients, yet nuclear medicine physicians may have only limited practical experience of rare diseases. Furthermore, the more frequent use of PET-CT scans is accompanied by an increasing likelihood of encountering rare findings that may be difficult to recognize and interpret. Against this background, this unique atlas documents a large number of clinical cases that will help practitioners to identify findings and diseases that, though rare, are sufficiently frequent to be encountered in routine practice. Two types of cases are presented: patients evaluated for rare diseases and patients evaluated for standard diseases in whom atypical collateral PET findings were detected. Each reported case includes a brief description of the clinical history, representative color PET-CT images obtained using FDG or other tracers, a short explanation of the disease and findings, and, when necessary, relevant references. This atlas will support practitioners in their daily practice and enable them to make conclusive reports of PET-CT scans that would otherwise have been inconclusive!

Abstract
In recent years, sonography of the peripheral nervous system has gained widespread acceptance. New diagnostic applications have emerged, and the field of ultrasound-guided interventions has expanded significantly: regional anesthesia, peripheral nerve blocks, and similar techniques are now frequently performed under ultrasound guidance by anesthesiologists and pain physicians alike. This atlas of peripheral nerve ultrasound is designed to meet the daily needs of both radiologists and clinicians by allowing rapid review of typical features, knowledge of which is important for successful diagnosis and intervention. The side by side presentation of ultrasound images with anatomical cryosections and photographs of transducer positions allows for reliable sonographic identification of even tiny nerves in regions of complex topography. The practical value of the atlas is further enhanced by correlations with high-resolution MRI scans and the inclusion of advice on state of the art examination techniques.
Contents
Introduction to High Resolution Sonography of the Peripheral Nervous System: General Considerations and Examination Technique -- Introduction to Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Peripheral Nervous System: General Considerations and Examination Technique -- Nerves in the Head and Neck -- Upper Extremity Nerves -- Lower Extremity Nerves -- Nerves in the Trunk and Abdominal Wall.

Abstract
Defining organs at risk is a crucial task for radiation oncologists when aiming to optimize the benefit of radiation therapy, with delivery of the maximum dose to the tumor volume while sparing healthy tissues. This book will prove an invaluable guide to the delineation of organs at risk of toxicity in patients undergoing radiotherapy. The first and second sections address the anatomy of organs at risk, discuss the pathophysiology of radiation-induced damage, and present dose constraints and methods for target volume delineation. The third section is devoted to the radiological anatomy of organs at risk as seen on typical radiotherapy planning CT scans, with a view to assisting the radiation oncologist to recognize and delineate these organs for each anatomical region head and neck, mediastinum, abdomen, and pelvis. The book is intended both for young radiation oncologists still in training and for their senior colleagues wishing to reduce intra-institutional variations in practice and thereby to standardize the definition of clinical target volumes.
Contents

Abstract
Most textbooks on otolaryngology and even otology describe the anatomy and embryology of the middle ear in only a limited degree of detail that is inadequate to meet the needs of learners. This book therefore aims to provide otolaryngology residents, otology and neurotology fellows, teachers, and young practitioners with comprehensive, up-to-date information on middle ear anatomy. It will enable those undergoing surgical training to hone their surgical skills and will assist in ensuring that patients receive appropriate management. The anatomy of the middle ear is explained in easy-to-understand descriptions and exquisitely depicted in more than 100 color photos and numerous helpful color diagrams. Key features of the book are the correlation of clinical situations to the anatomical basis of disease, the simplified explanation of embryology to provide a better understanding of developmental anomalies, and the inclusion of carefully selected CT scans that will assist in the reading of normal anatomy and the identification of pathological features. Comprehensive and Clinical Anatomy of the Middle Ear is both instructive and enjoyable to read; it provides, within one volume, up-to-date information that the reader would otherwise have to retrieve from many other sources that are often complex and difficult to understand.

Abstract
This manual presents a large collection of clinical cases in oncology with accompanying whole-body FDG PET-CT scans. The aim is to promote an integrated approach to the use of PET-CT, and detailed attention is therefore paid to the clinical history and diagnostic question. A central aspect of every clinical case described in this manual is the guidance on the clinical report, which is the official tool for communicating with both the referring physician and the person undergoing the diagnostic test; for this reason it needs to be clear, understandable, and written in shared language. The advice regarding report preparation is strongly supported by informative PET, CT, and PET-CT fused images of each disease. The book is broadly structured according to anatomic region, and a wide range of common diseases likely to be imaged using PET-CT is covered. This book will be of value to all those training or working in the field of oncology who wish to ensure that they are best placed to contextualize, interpret, and report the findings obtained with PET-CT, which can have such a dramatic impact on prognosis, therapeutic choice, and quality of life.
