Abstract
This excellently illustrated book aims to equip dentists, oral surgeons, and trainees with the detailed knowledge of anatomical variations in the oral region that is now required for optimal daily clinical practice. The book opens with an introductory section on anatomical variations from the point of view of different clinical practitioners – oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists, and endodontists. The newest anatomical knowledge and variations are then presented in turn for the mandible, maxillary sinus, hard palate, floor of the mouth, lips, temporomandibular joint, and teeth. In each chapter, clinical annotations are included in order to enhance understanding of the relationships between surgery and anatomy. The internationally renowned authors have been carefully selected for their expertise in the topics that they discuss. Anatomical Variations in Clinical Dentistry will be invaluable for general dentists, endodontists, periodontists, and implantologists and will also be an asset for anatomists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, otolaryngologists, dental students, and dental hygienists.

Abstract
Once an uncommon clinical finding, the Chiari malformations are now frequently seen with the advent of more sophisticated imaging modalities. With more than one hundred years of experience with these entities, medicine currently has a much better understanding of the embryology and pathophysiology of the disorder. Long-term outcome studies are becoming more prevalent and patients are commonly operated on with generally favorable results. Comprehensive in design, the The Chiari Malformations focuses on the two most common forms of hindbrain herniation, the Chiari I and II malformations. Since the original description and classification of hindbrain hernias more than one hundred and twenty years ago, the Chiari malformations have revealed much of their pathophysiology and have become easily diagnosed radiologically.á Indeed with the availability of MRI, more and more patients are being labeled with the diagnosis but without symptoms or appropriate symptoms. Timely and an invaluable addition to the literature, The Chiari Malformations thoroughly details the progress that has been made with our understanding of these conditions, their radiologic definition, details of operative intervention and prediction of outcome.

Abstract
This unique, contemporary book is the successor edition of a ground-breaking, authoritative title devoted to the pathology and treatment of chiari malformations. Since an abundance of research and development has occurred after the publication of the Chiari Malformations this updated title meets the market need for a reference that reflects such advances in the field. Chiari Malformations, 2nd Edition is divided into nine sections. Opening sections feature chapters on general aspects, diagnostic features and clinical presentation. These are followed by sections on differential diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. Finally, the book closes with an extensive discussion on research, related pathologies and patient resources. Expertly written chapters are supplemented with numerous high-quality illustrations and images to aid in visual learning. An impressive, nuanced successor, Chiari Malformations, 2nd edition, is an invaluable resource for neuroscientists and clinicians at all levels, as well as graduate students to specific research scientists studying this region.

Abstract
In this book, expert researchers and practitioners share essential information about providing mental health services to older adults in forensic contexts, and to the courts and judges involved. As the U.S. population ages, the needs of older adults will increasingly inform all areas of mental health practice. In coming years, psychologists can expect to play a more prominent role in helping legal decision makers to understand the unique aspects of older adults'cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Clinical providers will have more opportunity to help older adults and their families as they struggle with challenging legal issues such as civil litigation, eligibility for benefits, and incarceration. Chapters in this book describe the nuts and bolts of civil litigation as it relates to brain injury, dementia, PTSD, and pain; assessment of competency to stand trial and to be executed; and the special treatment needs of incarcerated older adults. Also included are chapters on assessing testamentary capacity, assessing older adults pursuing VA benefits, and psychology's role in guardianship and conservatorship decisions.
Contents
Introduction -- Part I. Ethics and Validity Assessment - 1. Ethical Issues in Forensic Geropsychology -- 2. Performance Validity Assessment: Disentangling Dementia From the Disinterested and Disingenuous -- Part II. Civil Contexts - 3. Traumatic Brain Injury and Dementia: Considerations for the Forensic Geropsychologist -- 4. Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and Litigation With Older Adults -- 5. Pain and Litigation With Older Adults -- Part III. Criminal Contexts - 6. Assessment and Restoration of Competency to Stand Trial With Older Adults -- 7. Assessment and Restoration of Competency to Be Executed: Issues Related to Dementia and Cognitive Disability -- 8. The Insanity Defense With Older Adults -- 9. Abstract
This book provides a broad overview of quality health care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). It focuses on providing the reader a practical approach to dealing with the health and well-being of people with IDD in general terms as well as in dealing with specific conditions. In addition, it offers the reader a perspective from many different points of view in the health care delivery system as well as in different parts of the world. This is the 3rd, and much expanded edition, of a text that was first published by Rubin and Crocker in 1989 (Lea and Fibiger). The second edition was published by Rubin and Crocker in 2006 (Paul Brookes) and has been used as a formal required text in training programs for physicians, nurses and nurse practitioners as well as by administrators who are responsible for programs serving people with IDD. This book is considered the "Bible" in the field of health care for people with IDD since 1989 when the first edition came out.

Hip pathology and nonarthritic hip conditions have only recently been recognized as a cause of hip pain. Ganz et al. also postulated that 70-90% of hip osteoarthritis is likely due to abnormal hip mechanics related to FAI, dysplasia, or other hip deformities. Abstract

In 2003, Ganz, Leunig and colleagues described the concept of femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) as a cause of hip pain and a mechanism for end-stage hip osteoarthritis. Ganz et al. also postulated that 70-90% of hip osteoarthritis is likely due to abnormal hip mechanics related to FAI, dysplasia, or other hip deformities. Over the past ten years, the treatment of these non-arthritic hip pathologies has grown dramatically, and has been estimated to grow by 15% each year. It is the largest segment of grown in sports medicine and orthopedics as a whole. However, no definitive reference yet exists on hip arthroscopy and hip joint preservation surgery. While books have been published on hip arthroscopy, these texts are limited to the technical aspects of the procedure and do not explore content related to hip joint preservation surgery. The scope of this book covers the basic science of hip pathology, anatomy, biomechanics, pathology, and treatment. It has put together up-to-date research and has invited opinion leaders in the field to contribute to the text. The book is focused on disease pathology and provides comprehensive information on each disease topic, which is followed by technique-driven chapters to provide surgeons a reference for any procedure related to non-arthritic conditions of the hip.

Abstract
This book provides an in-depth review of the insula, with emphasis on anatomical, diagnostics, clinical, and surgical features. The insular cortex is involved in a variety of functions, but a comprehensive resource cataloging these functions is not available in the current literature. This book gathers highly informative chapters written and edited by leading international authorities in the field and covers the full range of the insular cortex, approaching it in four main sections: firstly, the embryology and anatomy of the human insula; secondly, the functions of the human insula, including its role in nociception, language, decision making, cognition, emotional awareness etc.; thirdly, clinical disorders related to the insula such as epilepsy, schizophrenia, and Parkinson's disease; and fourthly, surgical techniques for insular gliomas and temporal lobe epilepsy. This comprehensive reference book will be an ideal source for neurosurgeons, neurologists and neuroanatomists seeking both basic and more advanced information regarding this unique structure in the human brain.
