On y traite également des sujets suivants : la préparation aux rituels et aux funérailles, l'importance pour les enfants de parler ouvertement de leur peine, la nécessité de garder des souvenirs de l'être aimé, la façon dont les réactions des enfants peuvent différer de celles des adultes et la nécessité de demander du soutien lorsque l'enfant est anxieux. On fournit des conseils pour les différents stades de développement (p. ex., les enfants de 3 à 5 ans, de 6 à 8 ans et de 9 à 12 ans) et une liste de ressources en ligne.

This pamphlet outlines how to help your child cope with dying, death, and grief. It explains how children may react when someone is very ill, planning appropriately for family visits at the hospital or hospice, the importance of making time to talk to your child, guidance on whether children should be present at death, and guidance on telling a child that someone has died. Other topics include: getting ready for rituals and funerals, the importance of children needing to talk about grief openly, keeping reminders of your loved one, how their reactions may differ from those of an adult, and asking for extra support when your child gets anxious. This is an Arabic translation of the English pamphlet 2056. Ethics Nova Scotia Health supports all patients, families, volunteers, staff, and health care providers when they need help making hard choices or when there is disagreement about what is most important. Ethics is about how we connect our actions and our values. We answer ethics questions by thinking about our values, or what is important to us. When you or someone you care about is sick or hurt, it can be hard to figure out what to do. It may help to figure out what is worrying you or making you upset. It may also help to think about your choices and talk with others about what is going on. This ethics tool can help you decide what is important and what to do. It includes things to think about when exploring the issue on your own or with others, and a list of ethics resources.
