Abstract
This new atlas, the fourth of a successful series, is a completely revised and updated edition of a previously published FDG PET-CT atlas. In the past few years, considerable progress has been made in the field of PET-CT imaging, and this new edition takes full account of these recent developments. Furthermore, its educational mission has been broadened: beyond serving as a straightforward guide to FDG PET-CT imaging it now encompasses the integrative use of contrast-enhanced CT and MRI. The new edition also includes non-oncological indications for FDG PET-CT. The atlas aims to help imaging practitioners to recognize physiological and benign pathological FDG uptake and illustrates in a case-based, practical manner the PET-CT appearances of all the major tumors and infectious, inflammatory, and neurodegenerative disorders. The main clinical applications are covered, and learning points and pitfalls are clearly articulated. The consistent, user-friendly format facilitates image interpretation and allows rapid review of key information needed for FDG PET-CT imaging.

Abstract
This book highlights the importance of investigating for ADHD in adults with attention difficulties, poor memory and executive function impairments. The authors advocate a neurodevelopmental assessment approach in all phases of life, and explain how to perform such assessments. The identification of ADHD in adults with other psychiatric and neurological disorders will lead to a better response to treatments, and as a result reduce its social, economic and personal burden. ADHD can no longer be considered solely a pediatric condition, as it occurs in a significant proportion of adults worldwide. However, ADHD in adults is often unrecognized and untreated. Diagnosing the disorder in adulthood is a challenge, due not only to the different clinical presentation in this phase of life, but also to the fact that other conditions may mask the symptoms. ADHD constitutes a hidden comorbidity with a detrimental impact of those affected, and a poor response (or even non-response) to several treatments. Intended for psychiatrists, neurologists, specialists in gerontology and neuropsychology, this book is an indispensable resource for all mental health practitioners who want to optimize the treatment of patients affected by psychiatric and neurological disorders who respond poorly to standard treatments.

Abstract
Over the last two decades, the increasing use of noninvasive ventilation (NIV) has reduced the need for endotracheal ventilation, thus decreasing the rate of ventilation-induced complications. Thus, NIV has decreased both intubation rates and mortality rates in specific subsets of patients with acute respiratory failure (for example, patients with hypercapnia, cardiogenic pulmonary edema, immune deficiencies, or post-transplantation acute respiratory failure). Despite the increased use of NIV in clinical practice, there is still a need for more educational tools to improve clinicians' knowledge of the indications and contraindications for NIV, the factors that predict failure or success, and also what should be considered when starting NIV. This book has the dual function of being a "classical" text where the major findings in the literature are discussed and highlighted, as well as a practical manual on the tricks and pitfalls to consider in NIV application by both beginners and experts. For example, setting the ventilatory parameters; choosing the interfaces, circuits, and humidification systems; monitoring; and the "right " environment for the "right" patient will be discussed to help clinicians in their choices.

Calipered kinematic alignment was proposed by Dr. Stephen M. Howell to enable the accurate and individualized placement of total knee components coincident within ± 0.5 mm of the patient’s pre-arthritic alignment. The aim was to restore the patient's native joint kinematics and thereby address the well documented 20% dissatisfaction when total knee replacement is performed using traditional, or mechanical alignment techniques.

Abstract
Generally CT images associated to a PET scan are acquired in a low-dose modality and therefore turn out to be suboptimal for CT image interpretation. Sometimes a comparison with a full-resolution and contrast- enhanced CT atlas may be difficult. Low-dose CT slices are thicker than diagnostic CT and poorer in anatomical details, and this affects the accuracy in recognizing both anatomical structures and pathological findings. This atlas provides a “normal anatomy” chapter that is built on low-dose CT images from PET/CT standard acquisition, identifying all the relevant anatomical structures detectable without contrast media administration that can help in accurately describing all FDG-positive fi ndings extension. Other chapters (thorax, abdomen, pelvis, musculoskeletal system) present cases with common and uncommon FDG-negative anatomical abnormalities. All the images can be directly compared to the CT images acquired on standard PET/CT.--Preface.
