Abstract
This atlas leads the reader through the adult autopsy process, and its common variations, with a large number of high-quality macroscopic photographs and concise accompanying text. It provides a manual of current practice and is an easy-to-use resource for case examination for consent, medico-legal and radiological autopsies. External realities and checks are discussed at the beginning of the book, which goes on to cover specific body cavities and organ systems in detail. The book ends with chapters on topics including forensic autopsies, specialist sampling, toxicology analyses and the radiological autopsy. Atlas of Adult Autopsy is aimed at practicing pathologists, particularly those in training grades. It may also be of interest to anatomical technicians in autopsy suites, as well as parties with a legal interest in autopsy practice.

Abstract
Pathologists have long recognized that pediatric autopsy requires great care in technique and dissection to ensure that easily overlooked malformations are recognized and accurate diagnoses are made. The highly experienced authors have created a new edition of Handbook of Pediatric Autopsy Pathology, a comprehensive reference guide to the actual performance of the pediatric autopsy and the optimal recognition and interpretation of pathologic findings. The Handbook of Pediatric Autopsy Pathology, Second Edition covers the spectrum of pediatric pathology with particular reference to those conditions that can be identified at autopsy. New and updated material includes microbiological studies, particularly with the advent of newly described micro-organisms causing disease. The volume also addresses new developments in metabolic diseases, new techniques of ultrasound imaging, and specialized laboratory testing. Furthermore, the book provides a wealth of practical information and bibliographic citations throughout, new copious illustrations and line drawings, numerous standard reference tables, and appendices at the end of multiple chapters. Authored by authorities in the field, Handbook of Pediatric Autopsy Pathology, Second Edition is a valuable resource that will assist general and pediatric pathologists, neonatologists, interns and residents in training, as well as specialists in cytogenetics and ultrasound technicians in understanding the manner and cause of death in its broadest and comprehensive sense.

Abstract
This fifth edition of a successful book provides an overview of fetal and perinatal pathology, concentrating on common problems, especially where the anatomical pathology findings guide the direction of further investigations. A new feature of this edition is an emphasis on the molecular aspects of pathology in the perinatal setting. There are four new chapters, including one on the genetic and epigenetic basis of development and disease, and over 300 new illustrations. The format of the book remains the same as previous editions with the first half covering general areas in perinatal pathology. The second half is based on organ systems and covers specific pathological entities, now including discussion of the relevant molecular pathology. There is extensive cross-referencing between chapters. Keeling's Fetal and Neonatal Pathology, 5th edition is aimed at the practising pathologist who is called upon to provide a perinatal pathology service. It is also a valuable resource for the pathology trainee and a reference for obstetricians, maternal and fetal medicine specialists, neonatologists, paediatricians and forensic pathologists.
Contents
The Perinatal Postmortem from a Clinician's Viewpoint -- The Perinatal Necropsy: Methodology -- Genetic and Epigenetic Basis of Development and Disease -- The Placenta and Umbilical Cord -- Perinatal Imaging -- Epidemiology of Fetal and Neonatal Death -- Pathology of Early Pregnancy Loss -- Congenital Abnormalities: Prenatal Diagnosis and Screening -- The Impact of Infection During Pregnancy on the Mother and Baby -- Perinatal Haematology -- Genetic Metabolic Disease -- Fetal Hydrops -- Pathology of Twinning -- Macerated Stillbirth -- Intrapartum Problems -- Prematurity -- Iatrogenic Disease -- Congenital Tumors -- The Cardiovascular System -- The Respiratory System -- The Alimentary Tract and Exocrine Pancreas -- Liver and Gallbladder -- The Urinary System -- The Reproductive System -- The Endocrine System -- The Reticuloendothelial System -- Brain Malformations -- Degenerative and Metabolic Brain Diseases -- Acquired Diseases of the Nervous System -- Skeletal Muscle and Peripheral Nerves -- The Skeletal System -- The Skin -- The Special Senses -- Forensic Aspects of Perinatal Pathology.
