Abstract
Back Cover Text: Breast reconstructive and oncoplastic surgery can reduce the sense of mutilation resulting from oncologic surgery and meets the need to provide breast cancer treatment that will not only eradicate the cancer but also re-establish the patient's quality of life. However, the difficulties inherent in preoperative planning and the intraoperative complexity of breast reconstruction and oncoplastic techniques represent major challenges for the breast surgeon. This atlas, intended for surgeons at every level, is an all-inclusive guide that documents surgical techniques step by step by means of a wealth of more than 1000 color photos, additional high-quality drawings and illustrations, and succinct accompanying text. Both common, established procedures and the most recently introduced techniques are covered, ensuring that readers will have at their disposal multiple approaches for breast repair, remodeling, and reconstruction. In addition to the comprehensive descriptions of techniques, preoperative planning is explained, indications and contraindications are identified, and the management of surgical complications is discussed. Tips, pitfalls, and key points are highlighted. The Atlas of Breast Reconstruction is an unprecedented tool that will increase and refine the arsenal at the oncoplastic surgeon's disposal in order to ensure that the best treatment can be offered to each individual patient.
Contents
1. Reconstruction technique for total mastectomy -- 2. Reconstruction technique for partial mastectomy and other partial breast deformities -- 3. Reconstruction and correction techniques for nipple-areola complex -- 4. Lipofilling -- 5. Surgical corrections of complications.

Abstract
This atlas describes various surgical techniques and incorporates both science and art into a unique transatlantic perspective for treatment of breast disease. The management of both benign and malignant disease is outlined with a detailed account of the diagnostic pathway and methods for obtaining definitive pre-operative diagnosis. All sections contain illustrations to demonstrate and clarify surgical and other practical procedures. Particular emphasis is placed on those techniques that consistently provide good cosmetic outcomes. This 2nd edition of the Atlas of Breast Surgery includes many new illustrations with important updates on innovations in surgical techniques. Many of the illustrations from the previous atlas have been preserved, with new illustrations to highlight important advances in surgical techniques since publication of the first edition. This atlas is intended as a guide for surgeons throughout the world who treat diseases of the breast, both benign and malignant. Atlas of Breast Surgery 2nd Edition serves as a valuable resource for qualified surgeons and trainees from general, plastic and gynecology backgrounds in the management of patients with all types of breast disease.

Abstract
This book provides up-to-date information on all aspects of ductal carcinoma in situ of the breast, including epidemiology, imaging, pathologic and biologic features, interventional diagnostics, nonpalpable lesion localization, and treatment. Surgical procedures are described in detail, covering breast conservation techniques, conservative mastectomies, breast reconstruction options, and axillary surgery. Guidance is provided on how to ensure adequacy of surgical excision and avoid local recurrence when performing breast conservation surgery and how to minimize morbidity from axillary surgery. The role and techniques of partial and whole breast irradiation are described, and the use of adjuvant systemic therapy options, including endocrine therapy and chemotherapy, is explained. A concluding chapter addresses the issue of recurrence and its current management. This book, designed for ease of consultation, will be of value for all involved in the multidisciplinary care of patients with ductal carcinoma in situ of the breast, including surgeons, medical oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and radiotherapists.

Abstract
This book focuses on the lobar anatomy of the breast and on the sick lobe concept—a novel theory of breast cancer development that is gaining ever wider acceptance—and explores their significance for innovative surgical treatment. Special attention is paid to the role of ductal echography, a technique capable of clearly depicting the structures of cancer in relation to the structures of the sick lobe. Having established a sound theoretical and practical basis through detailed coverage and correlation of anatomy, pathology, and imaging appearances, the book goes on to describe a revolutionary surgical approach particularly suitable for the treatment of multifocal and multicentric breast carcinomas. Such tumors account for more than a third of all cases of breast carcinoma and are often treated by mastectomy. The proposed new breast-conserving technique yields excellent cosmetic results and entails a very low risk of recurrence. The book will appeal to a wide readership, including radiologists, surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, as well as residents.

Abstract
This book provides an up-to-date review of the risk factors and genetics influencing the development of this rare disease. This volume presents clinical features and recent advances in histopathology and molecular profiling are analysed, providing a valuable aid to clinicians in tailoring treatment to both the patient and the tumour. Readers will find important insights into the most effective strategies for making or negating a diagnosis of male breast cancer. Within this timely volume, consideration is also given to the psychological needs of men with breast cancer alongside a discussion of the most effective support methods. The surgical management of the disease is examined, together with algorithms for local and systemic therapy. Owing to the problem of late diagnosis in male breast cancer, many men have advanced or disseminated disease at diagnosis and, as such, the evidence-based management of these cases is reviewed. This book will be of interest to breast surgeons, oncologists, breast radiologists, breast histopathologists and breast care nurses worldwide.

Abstract
This book describes in detail three different techniques for minimally invasive video-assisted breast surgery: nipple-sparing mastectomy with a hand-held external retractor, with a single-port device, and with robotic assistance. All three techniques can be employed for radical treatment of breast cancer or for risk reduction surgery, and the last two are brand new. The techniques are clearly explained with the aid of numerous high-quality illustrations. All surgical stages are covered in detail, and helpful information is provided on key aspects of surgical anatomy, diagnostic workup, instrumentation, and postoperative management. Nipple Sparing Mastectomy is the first manual to cover these techniques, which are likely to become standard in the field of oncological breast surgery. It will be invaluable for breast surgeons who are skilled in nipple-sparing mastectomy and oncoplastic techniques or are working in breast units that offer genetic counseling to high-risk patients.
Contents
1. History of the Mini Invasive Video Assisted Breast Surgery: From East to West -- 2. Surgical Anatomy of the Breast: Key Points for Mini Invasive Video Assisted Approach -- 3. Mini-Invasive Video-Assisted Breast Surgery: Feasibility and Safety -- 4. Indication for Mini Invasive Video Assisted Mastectomy -- 5. Diagnostic Work Out -- 6. Operative Instruments -- 7. Mini-Invasive Video-Assisted Mastectomy: Techniques -- 8. Reconstructive Options -- 9. Case Reports.

Abstract
This book presents the most recent developments in oncologic breast surgery and takes full account of diagnostic, pathologic, and radiologic inputs. It is divided into three parts, the first of which discusses the premises underlying the modern surgical approach to breast cancer. The second part is devoted to what might be termed the conservative program, i.e., breast conservation and oncoplastic surgery, conservative mastectomy, and sentinel node biopsy and axillary dissection. The final part of the book covers different forms of surgery and other treatments in particular settings. Topics include plastic and reconstructive surgery, DCIS surgery, radio-guided surgery, adjuvant systemic therapy, intraoperative radiotherapy, and the role of surgery in locally advanced and metastatic disease. The detailed descriptions of techniques are accompanied by numerous high-quality illustrations. This book will be of value to both experienced practitioners and surgical trainees.
