Abstract
The significantly updated second edition of this important work provides an up-to-date and comprehensive overview of cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR), a rapidly evolving tool for diagnosis and intervention of cardiovascular disease. New and updated chapters focus on recent applications of CMR such as electrophysiological ablative treatment of arrhythmias, targeted molecular MRI, and T1 mapping methods. The book presents a state-of-the-art compilation of expert contributions to the field, each examining normal and pathologic anatomy of the cardiovascular system as assessed by magnetic resonance imaging. Functional techniques such as myocardial perfusion imaging and assessment of flow velocity are emphasized, along with the exciting areas of artherosclerosis plaque imaging and targeted MRI. This cutting-edge volume represents a multi-disciplinary approach to the field, with contributions from experts in cardiology, radiology, physics, engineering, physiology and biochemistry, and offers new directions in noninvasive imaging. The Second Edition of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging is an essential resource for cardiologists and radiologists striving to lead the way into the future of this important field.

Abstract
The second edition of this atlas presents a wealth of normal and pathologic findings observed on CT angiography with 3D reconstruction in diverse clinical applications, including the imaging of cerebral, carotid, thoracic, coronary, abdominal, and peripheral vessels. The superb illustrations display the excellent anatomic detail obtained with CT angiography and depict the precise location of affected structures and lesion severity. Careful comparisons between normal imaging features and pathologic appearances will assist the reader in image interpretation and treatment planning, and the described cases include some very rare pathologies. In addition, the technical principles of the modality are clearly explained and guidance provided on imaging protocols. This edition is the outcome of 18 years of work by a renowned radiological team whose research focuses specifically on vascular pathology of the whole body and the role of CT angiography in its assessment. Numerous new images are presented and three additional chapters address cerebral arteriovenous malformations, congenital cardiac malformations in children and CT venography. The atlas will be invaluable for radiologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, and medical students.
Contents
1. Cerebral Angiography -- 2. Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation -- 3. Carotid Angiography -- 4. Thoracic -- 5. Coronary Angiography -- 6. Abdominal Angiography -- 7. Peripheral Angiography -- 8. Congenital Cardiac Malformations in Children - 9. CT Phlebography of the Lower Limb with Antegrade Injection of the Contrast Media.

Abstract
This book provides an up-to-date, systematic review of all facets of emergency radiology in patients with chest trauma or pain with the aim of equipping the reader with a detailed knowledge of the various radiological patterns, which is essential in order to make a prompt diagnosis under circumstances when time is of critical importance. To this end, the indications, value, and results of the various emergency imaging modalities, including sonography and interventional radiology, are described and illustrated in the full range of blunt chest injuries and nontraumatic chest emergencies. Technological aspects, protocols tailored to the mechanism of injury, and post-processing techniques are also extensively covered. Emergency Radiology of the Chest and Cardiovascular System will be of value to general and interventional radiologists, radiology residents, radiology technicians, and all physicians and surgeons who work in emergency care.

Abstract
This book presents a practical approach for the use of imaging across a wide variety of cardiovascular procedures. The use of catheter-based therapies is a rapidly expanding discipline for the minimally invasive treatment of many cardiac diseases. Cardiac ultrasound, particularly echocardiography, is utilized extensively to guide these therapies. This text teaches the key knowledge required for the use of ultrasound in many catheter- based cardiac therapies. In addition to the newest techniques such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement and transcatheter mitral valve edge-to-edge repair, it also includes guidance on more established procedures such as pericardiocentesis. Intraprocedural Imaging of Cardiovascular Interventions is an essential resource for clinicians and interventionalists to aid their understanding of imaging needs during various cardiovascular procedures.
Contents
1. Transesophageal Echocardiographic-Guided Cardioversion -- 2. Echo Guided Pericardiocentesis -- 3. Percutaneous Mitral Valvulotomy -- 4. Echocardiographic Guidance of Alcohol Septal Ablation for Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy -- 5. Catheter-Based Atrial Septal Defect Closure -- 6. Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement -- 7. Transcatheter Closure of Paravalvular Regurgitation: Case-Based Learning -- 8. Transcatheter Treatment of Mitral Regurgitation -- 9. Catheter-Based Left Atrial Appendage Closure -- 10. Percutaneous Ventricular Septal Defect Closure -- 11. Echocardiographic Guidance for Catheter-Based Removal of Right- Sided Intracardiac Thrombus -- 12. Optical Coherence Tomography: Role in Percutaneous Coronary Intervention -- 13. Echocardiography in Mechanical Circulatory Support.
