This pamphlet is a French translation of "Angioplasty of the Legs (Balloon Procedure)" pamphlet 1296. Angioplasty of the legs is done to open blocked arteries in the leg. It may be done to delay or stop you from having bypass surgery (surgery to help blood get around a blockage). This pamphlet explains: when angioplasty is done, steps of the procedure, what a stent is, risks, how to prepare for surgery and what recovery will be like after surgery.
