Welcome to the Diagnostic Imaging - Ultrasound Department at the IWK. The test we perform for pregnant women is called an obstetrical ultrasound exam. Your doctor may request an ultrasound at any stage in your pregnancy. One exam, done at 18 - 20 weeks, is called a screening test.
