Abstract
Cytopreparation: Principles & Practice by Gary W. Gill fills a long-standing need for an easy-to-use and authoritative manual on the fundamentals of cytopreparation up-to-and- including microscopy, screening, and data analysis. The text describes in phenomenological terms the most common materials and methods of specimen collection through mounting for gyn, non-gyn, and FNA specimens, as well as the underlying mechanistic bases. The author provides his expertise and information that will empower and enable readers to review and improve their laboratories' cytopreparatory techniques as they apply to the vast majority of specimens. This unique volume provides facts that are not readily available anywhere. Cytopreparation: Principles & Practice is intended for everyone associated with, and involved in, making cytologic preparations that are useful for their intended purpose. Abstract
Liquid-based cytology preparations are currently the standard of care for gynecological cytology, and are being increasingly used for non-gynecological cytology. Diagnostic Liquid-Based Cytology serves as a handy guide to diagnostic cytopathology on liquid-based preparations. The authors, renowned experts in the field, provide clear, concise, and practical diagnostic guidance. This handbook equips you to achieve accurate diagnosis of most commonly and uncommonly encountered diseases in exfoliative and aspirated tissue samples from various sites. The key cytopathological features of various diseases are described. The book is lavishly illustrated with dozens of color images that depict the full range of common and rare conditions. Diagnostic Liquid-Based Cytology offers highly practical guidance and information needed to solve common diagnostic challenges in liquid-based cytology preparations. Appropriate histopathological correlations and a consideration of the possible differential diagnosis accompany the cytological findings. The book is an excellent resource not only for practicing pathologists as well as for pathologists-in-training, and will be the perfect practical resource for daily reference in the cytopathology laboratory.

Abstract
This volume acquaints the non-neuropathologist with the advantages of clinical-radiologic-pathologic correlation in neuropathology specimens, particularly in the intra-operative environment. This volume covers the enormous and sometimes insurmountable artifacts involed with freezing tissue, especially central nervous system tissue and how a good cytology preparation can add to, or even supply in isolation, a diagnosis. The text presents how to perform, and stain the cytologic preparations, and how to interpret them. The advantages and disadvantages of both frozen sections and cytologic preparations of various kinds are discussed. The presentation and format is very visual with diagrams, tables (including pearls and pitfalls), and many figures (therefore easy reading). An introductory chapter presents the pros and cons of supplemental cytology, the advantages and disadvantages of frozen sections, and the artifacts in both. Also included is an argument for knowing what the scans reveal and the impact of relevant patient history. The volume uses a case-based approach to show correlation between scan, history, frozen section and cytologic preparations. With the combination of extensive correlation of scans, cytology and frozen section with differential diagnosis, and analysis of the information crucial to the neurosurgeon in a case-based approach and with a special chapter written by a neuroradiologist, this volume is unique in presentation and utility and will be of great value to the trainee in pathology (residents/fellows), and practicing pathologists who include neuropathology in their practice, but do not have formal fellowship training in neuropathology.

Abstract
This book is intended for practicing pathologists and cytopathologists, as well as for pathology trainees and cytotechnicians. It starts with a detailed description of the extremely important pre-analytical phase for molecular testing followed by a presentation of the key tests and their application in different organs, e.g. the lung or thyroid. Step-by-step instructions for the different assays, reporting and clinical integration of the test results are discussed. The authors help the reader to benefit from their experiences by providing a valuable tool for the implementation of these techniques in daily practice. Though the use of molecular techniques is well established in surgical biopsies, to date they are not widely used in connection with cytological material. However, in some fields like lung cancer or aspirates from the pancreas and biliary tract the only available material for diagnosis is the cytological preparation a fact that has created a need for the standardization of molecular techniques on cytology.

Abstract
This manual for diagnostic cytologists offers detailed guidance on diagnostic problems likely to be encountered in everyday practice. It encompasses exfoliative and aspiration cytology of all major nongynecologic body sites. Each chapter features an algorithm that presents the reader with the relevant microscopic findings, the most important additional findings, and the differential diagnostic possibilities and problems in a clear and easily remembered form. These algorithms will without doubt prove of great practical value to the reader, and they are also helpfully presented together at the end of the book. Another important feature is the wealth of high-quality color photomicrographs, which clearly document the visual appearances of the most important lesions and highlight the differential diagnostic difficulties. The accompanying text contains helpful general remarks and presents further relevant information on diagnostics, differential diagnostic procedures, and auxiliary methods. Besides established cytologists and pathologists, cytopathologists in training and cytotechnologists will find this book to be a valuable aid.

Abstract
This book presents rational diagnostic approaches to common areas of cytopathology, such as thyroid, lymph node and effusion cytology. It discusses differential diagnoses for each site, and describes a systematic approach to narrow down differential diagnoses in a logical manner based on cytomorphology and the judicious application of ancillary tests. Further, it introduces discriminatory panels of immunohistochemical tests, with an emphasis on patient-centred approaches with active clinicopathologic correlations. In addition, it provides practical recommendations for optimizing tissue triage for ancillary testing, in terms of both diagnostic and therapy-related testing. The book also includes sample diagnostic reports to help readers formulate appropriate comments and to aid clinicians in specific clinical scenarios, as well as test cases for readers to apply their diagnostic and specimen triage algorithms. The book equips readers to apply logical approaches to sound cytopathology reporting in daily clinical practice, guiding them through specimen collection and triage to diagnostic workup based on morphologic and clinical features, and writing rational and clinically useful diagnostic cytology reports with a focus on clinicopathologic correlation. As such it is relevant for practising cytopathologists and pathology trainees as well as for cytologists (cytotechnologists) and other clinicians involved in cytopathology diagnostic processes.
