Abstract
This atlas presents outstanding three-dimensional (3D) echocardiographic images of structural heart diseases, including congenital and valvular diseases and cardiac masses and tumors. The aim is to enable the reader to derive maximum diagnostic and treatment benefit from the modality through optimal image acquisition and interpretation. To this end a wide range of instructive individual cases are depicted, with sequential arrangement of all images and views of diagnostic value, including 3D zoom, full-volume, and live 3D images. For each case, a key lesson is highlighted and attention is drawn to aspects of relevance to diagnosis and treatment. In addition, readers will have online access to echocardiographic video clips for each patient. The closing part of the book examines the role of 3D echocardiography in structural heart disease interventions. The superb quality of the illustrations and the range of cases considered ensure that this atlas will be an excellent visual learning tool and an ideal aid for cardiology residents and fellows in day-to-day clinical practice.

Abstract
This book introduces classic and unique cases in 3D TEE in structural heart disease interventions. In each all the 40 cases, background information, clinical presentations, and diagnostic findings are present and followed by step-by-step approaches of interventional therapies and outcomes after the procedures. The highlight of the book is to utilize extensive illustrations, over 500, to demonstrate various cardiovascular pathologies. Most of the figures are 3D transesophageal echocardiograms, they are cooperated with 2D transesophageal echocardiograms, X rays, fluoroscopies, computed tomograms, etc. Since the echo images obtained in clinic practice are moving images, it also includes over 300 videos, which serve as a supplement to the static illustrations in this book. The atlas is organized into five chapters. In Chapters one, cases received closure of congenital and acquired cardiac defects are described. Transcatheter aortic valve implantation and its complications are discussed in Chapter two and three. Chapter four details the valve-in-valve therapy. Chapter five covers MitraClip therapy. It offers readers an insider's view of 3D transesophageal echocardiography in structural heart disease interventions and to refresh their clinical work.

Abstract
This book presents a series of over 50 cases in 3D transesophageal echocardiography. In each case, background information is followed by a step-by-step approach to patient diagnosis and postoperative outcomes. The book's most outstanding highlight consists in over 600 illustrations, which mainly focus on 3D transesophageal echocardiography in combination with 2D transesophageal echocardiography, X-ray fluoroscopy and computed tomography to demonstrate the various cardiovascular pathologies. Since the echo images obtained in clinic practice are moving images, it also includes more than 450 videos, which effectively supplement the static illustrations. The atlas is divided into 11 chapters. Chapters 1 through 3 describe abnormalities affecting mitral, aortic, tricuspid and pulmonary valves, while prosthetic valves are discussed in Chapter 4. Chapter 5 details abnormalities of the aorta. Chapters 6-8 examine coronary artery disease, congenital heart disease and cardiomyopathies, while Chapter 9 explores cases of infective endocarditis. Chapter 10 deals with tumor and mass lesions, and the other cases are collectively addressed in Chapter 11. Offering a valuable new resource, the book will enhance the usefulness of echocardiography during operations as a "third eye" for surgeons. Editor Wei-Hsian Yin is Chief of the Division of Cardiology, Cheng-Hsin General Hospital, Taipei. Editor Ming-Chon Hsiung is a Physician at the same department.

Abstract
This book is a practical manual to explain critical clinical practice in three-dimensional (3D) echocardiography. The use of this technology has been limited to certain pioneer imaging units, but with the advent of lower cost hardware it is spreading and reaching more users that will start to use it often without previous experience or formal academic training. Manual of 3D Echocardiography provides readers with a full review of the features, clinical indications and methodological aspects of 3D echo in a practical and methodical way. These techniques are becoming more diverse, as they are applied to transthoracic and transesophageal studies, 3D-wall motion tracking, fusion of echocardiographic and fluoroscopy navigation, fusion of wall motion tracking and coronary tomography. All these aspects are described and explained deeply in this book and hence this will be of value for all training in or who want to understand better the technique and how to apply it.
Contents
1. Physical and Technical Aspects and Overview of 3D-Echocardiography -- 2. General Aspects of Transthoracic 3D-Echo -- 3. General Aspects of Transesophageal 3D-Echo -- 4. 3D-ECHO Protocols for the Diagnosis of Valvular Diseases -- 5. 3D-Echo Protocols for Assesing Cardiac Chambers, Volume and Function -- 6. 3D-Wall Motion Tracking: Measuring Myocardial Strain with 3D -- 7. Guiding Structural Interventions with 3D-Echo -- 8. Fusion of 3D-Echocardiography and Other Imaging Modalities: Hybrid Imaging -- 9. Cardiac Congenital Disease and 3D-Echocardiography.

Abstract
Three-dimensional (3D) transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) is a powerful visual tool which the novice or experienced echocardiographer, cardiologist, or cardiac surgeon can use to achieve a better understanding and assessment of normal and pathological cardiac function and anatomy. A complement to traditional 2D imaging, 3D TEE enables visualization of any cardiac structure from multiple perspectives. For the echocardiographer, it demands a different set of skills for image acquisition and manipulation. Real-Time Three-Dimensional Transesophageal Echocardiography is a practical illustrated step-by-step guide to the latest in 3D technology and image acquisition. Each chapter systematically focuses on different cardiac structures with practical tips to image acquisition. Features: Up-to-date; Synoptic presentation of essential "how-to" and relevant clinical information; More than 300 color figures; Practical fundamentals, including altered knobology, and how to acquire and manipulate image datasets; Systematic identification of special diagnostic issues; Normal and abnormal cardiac pathology; Supplemented by the Virtual TEE Perioperative Interactive Education (PIE) website which provides free access to online resources for teaching and learning TEE: http://pie.med.utoronto.ca/TEE.

Abstract
Three-dimensional echocardiography is the most recent fundamental advancement in echocardiography with a strong impact on almost all clinical and research applications of echocardiography. After a very successful 1st edition, this book presents the fully revised 2nd edition. Accounting for the marked progress of real-time 3D echocardiography since the 1st edition it covers all clinically important aspects of this fascinating new technology, including a comprehensive explanation of its basic principles, practical aspects of clinical application, new recommendations in recent guidelines, and detailed descriptions of specific uses in the broad spectrum of clinically important heart disease. The book was written by a group of well-recognized international experts in the field, who have not only been involved in scientific and clinical evolution of 3D echocardiography since its beginnings but are also intensely involved in expert training courses. As a result, the clear focus of this book is on the practical application of 3D echocardiography in daily clinical routine with tips and tricks for both beginners and experts, all accompanied by more than 150 case examples comprehensively illustrated with more than 850 images and more than 500 videos available on a DVD. In concert with an in-depth review and comprehensive update of the most recent literature on real-time 3D echocardiography, this book continues to represent an invaluable reference on 3D echocardiography for beginners and expert users.
Contents
1. Three-dimensional echocardiography: lessons in overcoming time and space -- 2. Basic principles and practical application -- 3. Left ventricular and left atrial function -- 4. Three-dimensional stress echocardiography -- 5. Cardiac dyssynchrony -- 6. The right ventricle -- 7. Valvular heart disease: insufficiencies -- 8. Valvular heart disease: stenoses -- 9.
