Abstract
This book is a comprehensive guide to the diagnosis and treatment of injuries to the elbow joint incurred by athletes of all ages during participation in sports such as tennis, golf, baseball, volleyball, weight lifting, and javelin throwing. The coverage includes the evaluation and management of medial and lateral elbow pain, degenerative elbow, distal biceps and triceps tendon injuries, posterior impingement and nerve compression syndromes, dislocations, and fractures. General guidance is also provided on injury prevention, physical examination, imaging, the use of endoscopy, and rehabilitation. Clinical anatomy of the elbow is thoroughly described and a chapter on biomechanics explains the basic science of the discussed pathologies. Elbow and Sport is a book project initiated by the Elbow and Wrist Committee of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) with the aim of describing sports-related elbow pathologies from diagnosis to conservative or surgical treatment. The authors include some of the most eminent experts in elbow surgery from Europe and elsewhere in the world. The guidelines proposed in the book will be invaluable for all specialists in upper limb sport lesions, including surgeons, sport medicine doctors, and physiotherapists.

Abstract
This book provides readers with detailed guidance on the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries and disorders of the elbow, including dislocation, complex instability, articular fractures, epicondylitis and epitrochleitis, distal biceps and triceps tendon injuries, peripheral nerve pathology, snapping triceps syndrome, elbow stiffness, and upper limb compartment syndrome. The choice between conservative and surgical treatment in different settings is clearly explained, and detailed advice offered on selection of surgical technique. A separate section provides a deeper understanding of the most common sports-related elbow pathologies, and their management, based on careful correlation with the movements performed by athletes in particular sports. Extensive consideration is also given to rehabilitation and physiotherapy protocols. This book will be of value for all orthopedic surgeons and other specialists who care for patients with elbow injuries, which can represent a challenge even to the more experienced.

Abstract
This unique text focuses entirely on the treatment of pediatric elbow fractures, which encompass the vast majority of operative cases for pediatric fracture care, and which can be challenging to even the most experienced surgeon. The book opens with a survey of the basic anatomy and development of the elbow, as well as examination and imaging techniques. Both acute and chronic fractures are then discussed in detail, beginning with a brief outline of the epidemiology, classification, and work-up of each fracture, but the main focus will be on providing a master's approach to the surgical treatment of these injuries, including supracondylar fractures, capitellar shear fractures, elbow dislocations, Monteggia fracture dislocations, and cubitus varus and valgus, among others. Numerous photographs, figures and videos will enable the orthopedic surgeon, hand surgeon, and trauma surgeon to be fully prepared to treat any of these fractures.

Abstract
This book documents current knowledge on the mechanisms involved in sports injuries to the shoulder and elbow, reviews essential physical examinations, and explains the role of diagnostic imaging. Above all, it describes in detail the treatment modalities that are appropriate to the injuries encountered in throwing and overhead athletes, including chronic repetitive and acute traumatic injuries. Both conservative and surgical treatments are covered; the author's own preferred operative techniques are identified and explained, and helpful treatment algorithms offer guidance in selecting an approach fitting to the circumstances. In addition, the inclusion of instructive case reviews will assist readers in achieving a full understanding of the implementation of treatment protocols. Methods of rehabilitation are also described with the aid of demonstration videos, and advice is provided on appropriate timing. The book will be invaluable for all professionals who deal with sports injuries of the shoulder and elbow, including surgeons, physiotherapists, other medical practitioners, and trainers.

Abstract
Bringing together the current knowledge and evidence about the causes and management of tennis elbow, or lateral epicondylitis, the diagnosis and various treatment options for this common sports injury are presented in detail. Generally attributed to overexertion or repetitive motion of the elbow joint, tennis elbow causes pain, tenderness and stiffness in the elbow and wrist even in non-athletic, day-to-day activities, such as lifting and pulling. Beginning with its etiology, subsequent chapters explore both conservative and surgical treatments, from physical therapy, joint injections and acupuncture to arthroscopy, open surgery and denervation. Outcomes, rehabilitation and return to play are also discussed, as are techniques and indications for handling complications and revision surgery. Ideal for orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine practitioners, Tennis Elbow: Clinical Management is a practical reference for any clinician treating athletes or active patients.
