Abstract
This book describes the most popular topics concerning adult congenital heart disease (ACHD), especially focusing on indications and re-intervention procedures for some major ACHDs. Thanks to advances in medical and surgical therapy for congenital heart disease over the last half century, many patients who underwent surgical correction reached adulthood. However, as can be seen from the explosive increase in the number of ACHD patients, postoperative residua and sequelae have also become apparent. The purpose of this book is to highlight complicated problems in connection with ACHD, including its present status, as well as methods for its management including medical and surgical treatment. The content primarily focuses on two areas--general information for cardiologists, and information on re-intervention for interventionists and cardiac surgeons--setting it apart from the majority of books on congenital heart disease.

Abstract
This atlas addresses the numerous changes and advances that have occurred in the field of congenital heart surgery over the last few years, resulting in improved techniques and new operations. The sheer number of new procedures and the required attendant technical skills to successfully complete an operation have become a challenge to master, especially for residents who are pursuing a career in congenital heart surgery. The atlas is organized generally by anomaly and the procedure pertaining thereto. Two general sections involve cannulation techniques and palliative procedures. A special section depicts difficult problems in the form of clinical vignettes that may arise during cardiopulmonary bypass, such as decreased venous return, undiagnosed patent ductus arteriosus, and technical errors leading to hemodynamic complications. The Atlas of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery is an educational and beautifully illustrated atlas of congenital heart surgery that explains and illustrates procedures that cover the breadth of congenital heart surgery, appealing to trainee and practicing pediatric cardiac surgeons, cardiologists and interventionalists, pediatricians, and pediatric critical care physicians alike.

Abstract
Dedicated to the critical management of acutely ill adults with congenital heart disease, this comprehensive book discusses the many challenges faced in the management of these patients, who require intensive inter- and trans-disciplinary care. It provides the first universal review of the practical management of patients with these complex conditions, who survive into adulthood with congenital cardiac malformations and are often affected by other morbidities. For this reason, it reflects a consistent interaction and collaboration between several disciplines: pediatric and adult cardiology, cardiac surgery, pediatric and adult cardiac intensive care, anesthesia, intensive care nursing, nutrition, psychology and many other specialties. It offers concise and pragmatic recommendations, and provides basic and advanced concepts that allow caregivers to anticipate, prevent and effectively treat such pathologies. The book also includes chapters focusing on cardiac-database and risk-factor assessment, organizational and operational topics, advanced mechanical circulatory assistance and pharmacology. Whilst bringing together top international experts who are leading reference programs around the globe, this book is an indispensable teaching tool for clinicians and caregivers involved in the management of critically ill adults with congenital heart disease.

Abstract
This book addresses the most technically demanding cardiac surgical techniques, many of which are often performed on small infants. Conotruncal heart defects are a group of congenital anomalies of the cardiovascular system that are a leading cause of symptomatic cyanotic cardiac disease diagnosed in utero. Surgery of Conotruncal Anomalies provides a wealth of practical information and has been written by a collection of world renowned experts. They discuss the most challenging but life-changing surgeries which, if performed perfectly, allow the child to lead a normal adult life in the majority of cases. This book and the large number of truly stunning explanatory illustrations contained within is an essential resource for junior surgeons as well as trainees and practicing cardiac surgeons, pediatric cardiologists and surgeons, and cardiac imagers, to be used as a critical reference when performing these complex cases.

Approximately 120 different surgical procedures are used to correct congenital heart diseases, and the burden that this places on the surgeon is compounded by the exceptional complexity of the techniques and the rarity of many of the lesions. Abstract
Approximately 120 different surgical procedures are used to correct congenital heart diseases, and the burden that this places on the surgeon is compounded by the exceptional complexity of the techniques and the rarity of many of the lesions. Training is problematic, not least because of legal issues, and currently available texts, drawings, and images are no substitute for real 'live' surgery. Against this background, the authors have set out to create an interactive multimedia manual that covers many aspects of congenital heart surgery. Each heart defect is addressed in an individual chapter, elaborating specific surgical anatomy and indication for surgery of heart defect first, followed by video clips depicting the operative approach and technique. The clips are accompanied by a clear descriptive narrative, and patient history and diagnostic images are available to provide a clear backdrop to the operation. The chosen format makes this manual not only a very powerful teaching tool for practicing cardiac surgeons and surgeons in training but also a valuable source of information for related services such as pediatric and adult cardiologists, cardiac anesthesiologist, cardiac intensivists, perfusionists and medical students.
Contents
1. Complete Transposition of the Great Arteries -- 2. Corrected Transposition of the Great Arteries -- 3. Left Ventricular Outflow Tract Anomalies -- 4. Tetralogy of Fallot -- 5. Ebstein’s Anomaly.
