Abstract
This excellently illustrated book aims to equip dentists, oral surgeons, and trainees with the detailed knowledge of anatomical variations in the oral region that is now required for optimal daily clinical practice. The book opens with an introductory section on anatomical variations from the point of view of different clinical practitioners – oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists, and endodontists. The newest anatomical knowledge and variations are then presented in turn for the mandible, maxillary sinus, hard palate, floor of the mouth, lips, temporomandibular joint, and teeth. In each chapter, clinical annotations are included in order to enhance understanding of the relationships between surgery and anatomy. The internationally renowned authors have been carefully selected for their expertise in the topics that they discuss. Anatomical Variations in Clinical Dentistry will be invaluable for general dentists, endodontists, periodontists, and implantologists and will also be an asset for anatomists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, otolaryngologists, dental students, and dental hygienists.

Abstract
Cleft Lip and Palate: Diagnosis and Management is an unparalleled review of treatment concepts in all areas of cleft involvement presented by an international team of experienced clinicians. A unique feature of the book is that it largely consists of longitudinal facial and palatal growth studies of dental casts, photographs, panorexes, and cephalographs from birth to adolescence. Throughout the discussion of growth and treatment concepts, the importance of differential diagnosis in treatment planning is underscored. The underlying argument is that all of the treatment goals – good speech, facial aesthetics, dental occlusion, and psychological development – may be realized without the need to sacrifice one for another. In this third edition, further successful physiological treatment protocols are considered and the occurrence and prevention of relapses after some surgical treatments are discussed; again, all solutions are backed up by follow-up records. Additional topics not previously covered include strategies for coping with psychological effects on patients and intra-team conflict, the excellent clinical work being undertaken in Asia, and future multicenter palatal growth studies. It is the editor's hope that, by drawing on the wealth of experience contained in the book, clinicians will be better able to evaluate current treatment practices and concepts and to improve planning of their own treatment procedures.

Abstract
Medical literature for health care practitioners on the evaluation and treatment of breastfeeding issues has been disjointed, conflicting, and difficult to find. The field of breastfeeding medicine itself is nonexistent; there are no "breastfeeding doctors" who are specifically trained to understand this complex and interactive process. While much of the literature about breastfeeding describes how it "should" work, there is currently nothing available to explain why it often fails and how to treat it. Clinician's Guide to Breastfeeding: Evidence-based Evaluation and Management is written for health care practitioners who work with breastfeeding mothers; physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and lactation consultants. It provides clear information and clinically tested strategies to help professionals guide new mothers to breastfeed successfully. The first of its kind to consider the entirety of the breastfeeding experience, Clinician's Guide to Breastfeeding is written by Dr. Linda D. Dahl, a leading expert on the subject. It is a comprehensive review of breastfeeding, covering objective analyses of ideal or "normal" nursing, as well as the evaluation and treatment of abnormal nursing, including case studies to illustrate the treatment decision-making process.
Contents
Part I. Normal Nursing -- 1. Breastfeeding Basics -- 2. Anatomy and Physiology of Breastfeeding -- 3. Milk Supply and Regulation -- 4. The Progression of Nursing -- Part II. Abnormal Nursing -- 5. Breastfeeding Evaluation: The History -- 6. Breastfeeding Evaluation: The Physical Exam -- 7. Treatments -- 8. Abnormal Nursing Case Scenarios.
