Abstract
This atlas offers precise, step-by-step descriptions of robotic surgical techniques in the fields of otolaryngology and head and neck surgery, with the aim of providing surgeons with a comprehensive guide. The coverage encompasses all current indications and the full range of robotic surgical approaches, including transoral, transaxillary, transmaxillary, and transcervical. Key clinical and technical issues and important aspects of surgical anatomy are highlighted, and advice is provided on ancillary topics such as postoperative care and robotic reconstructive surgery. Robotic surgery has proved a significant addition to the armamentarium of tools in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery. It is now used in many centers as the workhorse for resection of oropharyngeal and laryngeal tumors, thyroid surgery, and base of tongue resection in patients with obstructive sleep apnea. The da Vinci robotic system, with its three-dimensional vision system, is also excellent for parapharyngeal, nasopharyngeal, and skull base resections. This superbly illustrated book, with accompanying online videos, will be ideal for residents in otolaryngology--head and neck surgery and skull base surgery who are working in a robotic cadaver lab and for specialists seeking to further improve their dissection techniques.

Abstract
With cases reflecting the classic presentation format of each disease process, this book prepares students for patient encounters during their oral and maxillofacial surgery rotations. It also helps residents learn and review "high yield" material that is commonly found in oral and maxillofacial training and on board examinations. It highlights clinical information that is commonly asked during rounds, in the operating room, and during examinations. For each case, it includes an overview of the most common clinical presentation, physical exam findings, diagnostic tools, complications, treatment, and a discussion of any controversial issues that may surround the case. The authors describe this book as "A little reach for the dental student, right on target for the OMS resident, and a strong refresher for OMS board certification." Case-based format prepares students and residents to pass the OMSSAT, with the Table of Contents corresponding to the exam's categories and questions.95 clinical cases focus on essential information regarding each disease process. Detailed illustrations -- including radiographs and clinical photographs or drawings -- provide a visual guide to conditions, techniques, diagnoses, and key concepts. Complements other Elsevier books such as Peterson: Contemporary Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Fonseca: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Ward Booth: Maxillofacial Surgery.

Abstract
This textbook, containing a plethora of illustrations and pictures, will serve as an atlas and as a superb guide to the use of cutaneous flaps in head and neck reconstruction. Each chapter depicts, in a layered manner, the anatomy of a particular donor site from which flaps are derived and used in head and neck defects, providing systematic steps in understanding the topographical anatomy of the various tissue layers. The flaps derived from each donor site are presented in detail, with step-by-step instructions in flap design and harvesting techniques based in anatomy. The author uses numerous high-quality color illustrations drawn from his own practice in order to demonstrate the techniques. His combined expertise as a maxillofacial surgeon and an assistant professor of anatomy enables him to explain clearly the transition from basic science anatomy to applied anatomy and to document reconstructive surgical techniques in precise detail. This beautifully illustrated book, including many basic and advanced flap designs, will be an illuminating reference for all who treat defects in the head and neck area.

Abstract
This richly illustrated atlas provides a clear and comprehensive step-by-step description of surgical techniques for raising and setting free flaps from different donor sites, to reconstruct damage to the head and neck caused by cancer and trauma. Adopting a highly practical approach, the book describes the indications and technical aspects of each procedure with sets of in-vivo pictures clearly showing the surgical passages. In addition, it discusses microvascular techniques and explores different soft-tissue, perforator and bone flaps, including novel free tissue flaps, presented for the first time in the head and neck field. This book offers invaluable insights into free-flap harvesting and transferring techniques for both residents and experienced specialists in the field of otolaryngology, head and neck, maxillo-facial and plastic surgery.
