Abstract
This book comprises proceedings from the Third International Conference on Advances in Nutrition and Cancer, held in Naples in May 2012. This highly multidisciplinary meeting analyzed "nutrition and cancer" from different perspectives and on the basis of distinct and up-to-date experimental approaches. Knowledge on the relation between lifestyle, diet, and cancer is explored in a number of contributions, and the role of dietary intervention in cancer patients is discussed. Issues of vital interest to the research community, such as epidemiological and experimental oncology (genetics, epigenetics, and the mechanisms of action of natural compounds in the diet), receive detailed consideration. A further key topic is the emerging molecular technologies (the "omics") that can cast light on the interplay between nutrition and human malignancies. Chapters take the form of reviews that include sections presenting expert opinions. Advances in Nutrition and Cancer will be an invaluable source of topical information for all researchers and clinicians with an interest in this field.

Abstract
Uniquely designed for oncologists and general practitioners, this book offers clinicians comprehensive guidelines when dealing with women at high risk for breast cancer. Written by experts in the field on the cutting edge of this research, the following questions will be answered for the reader by the end of the book: Who is at elevated risk for breast cancer? Who should be genetically screened? When and how often should we obtain imaging? What type of imaging is adequate? What medications are available for prevention? When is surgical intervention appropriate? What lifestyle changes should be implemented to prevent this disaster? With one in eight women likely to contract breast cancer in her lifetime, the significance of identifying and managing the high-risk patient is evident. Breakthroughs in the identification of genes associated with breast carcinoma, particularly BRCA1 and 2, as well as other risk factors, influence not only how patients are screened, but also how they are treated. Breast Cancer Prevention and Treatment provides a guided approach to prevention of breast cancer in women at elevated risk for this malignancy.

Abstract
This book, now in a thoroughly revised and extended second edition, clearly explains the nature of colon polyps and their relationship to colorectal cancer. On this basis, it goes on to provide up-to-date guidance on disease prevention and treatment. The book opens by describing the anatomy and histology of the colon and all aspects of the use of colonoscopy, including in the presence of infectious disease and in pregnant patients. The histopathological features of colon polyps and their endoscopic and surgical treatment are then discussed in depth. Risk factors for the development of colorectal cancer are identified, with advice on preventive measures, and detailed clinical information is presented on the treatment options for colorectal cancer, from open surgery, laparoscopic resection, and robotic surgery to neoadjuvant and adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy. In addition, the different potential approaches in patients with liver metastases are fully described. The book will be invaluable for medical specialists and students, and the clear style ensures that it will also be accessible for other interested persons, including patients.
