Abstract
The use of ultrasound guidance to perform diagnostic and therapeutic injections is growing at a rapid rate, as is the evidence to support its use. Even with the increased popularity of ultrasound, there remains a lack of formal training or a standard reference book. Atlas of Ultrasound Guided Musculoskeletal Injections fills this void in the literature and will be useful to physiatrists, orthopedists, rheumatologists, pain medicine and sports medicine specialists alike. Broken down by anatomic structure and heavily illustrated, this book is both comprehensive and instructive. The Editors and their contributors break down the basics (both the fundamentals of ultrasound to needle visibility and the role of injections) and explore ultrasound-guided injection for structures in the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, hip and groin, knee, ankle and foot, and spine. Using a clear, heavily illustrated format, this book describes the relevant clinical scenarios and indications for injection, the evidence to support ultrasound use, relevant local anatomy, injection methods, and pearls and safety considerations.

Abstract
This is a highly informative and carefully presented book for trainees and postgraduate students of anaesthesiology as well as practicing clinicians. This book aims to help them in selecting and implementing the most suitable regional block in each clinical scenario and successfully use the techniques of ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia (USRA) in their practice. This book covers basics of ultrasound imaging, anatomical aspects and techniques of all nerve blocks that are commonly used in clinical practice in a lucid and illustrated presentation. Regional anaesthesia can be a safe alternative to general anaesthesia. When combined with general anaesthesia, it can provide excellent postoperative analgesia too. With the advent of ultrasound, the scope, safety and reliability of regional anaesthesia has expanded manifold. However, there is a lack of formal clinical training in regional anaesthesia in most of the anaesthesia postgraduate curricula and this book intends to bridge this gap. The book serves as a useful resource to the anaesthetist; trainee or practitioner who wants to master the nerve blocks.
Contents
1. Basics of Ultrasound Guided Regional Anaesthesia -- 2. Regional Anaesthesia for the Upper Limb -- 3. Lower Extremity Nerve Blocks -- 4. Truncal Blocks -- 5. Central Neuraxial Blockade -- 6. Paediatric Regional Anaesthesia -- 7. Recent Advances in Regional Anaesthesia -- 8. Safety and Ergonomics of Ultrasound-Guided Regional Anaesthesia.

Abstract
This comprehensive book serves as a review for the Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP) exam and functions as a concise guide for all interventional pain doctors. Through educational initiatives, it helps to promote consensus-building among experts on the effectiveness of existing techniques and avenues for advancement of therapeutic performances. The book is divided into four sections (head and neck, thoracic, lumbar and sacral/pelvic), and each chapter is devoted to the safe, standardized approach to interventional procedures. To prepare both the examiner and the examinee for the FIPP examination, each chapter contains the relevant C-arm images and outlines the most common reasons for “unacceptable procedures performance” and “potentially unsafe procedures performance.” Distinguishing it from many of the previous guides, it also includes labeled fluoroscopic high quality images and focuses on the current FIPP-examined procedures with all accepted approaches. Written and edited by world leaders in pain, Interventional Pain guides the reader in study for FIPP Exam and offers a consensus on how interventional procedures should be performed and examined.

The book explains in great detail trigeminal and radiofrequency techniques, facet joint denervation, cryoneurolysis and lumbosacral, thoracic and cervical neuroplasty. The new concept of the scarring triangle and treatment that may prevent surgical failures is proposed. Neuroaugmentation and complimentary procedures are also covered. Indications, contraindications, and complications of these treatments are discussed along with outcomes on some of the case studies featured in the first edition. Interventional pain physicians, as well as palliative pain physicians, neurosurgeons, and orthopedic spine surgeons, will find this text to be the definitive reference on neurolysis in clinical practice.

Abstract
This book offers a comprehensive but straightforward, practical handbook on ultrasound (US)-guided nerve blocks. It presents the normal US anatomy of peripheral nerves, clinical aspects of nerve entrapment and different procedures / techniques for each block. Axial or peripheral chronic radicular pain can be particularly severe and debilitating for the patient. The aim of treatment is to provide medium-/ long-term pain relief, and consequently to restore function. The therapeutic nerve block, performed with a perineural injection of anaesthetic, steroid or painkiller, is generally used once conservative treatments have proven unsuccessful and is aimed to avoid surgical options. Ultrasound guidance, offering the direct and real-time visualization of the needle and adjacent relevant anatomic structures, significantly increases the accuracy and safety of nerve blocks reducing the risk of intraneural or intravascular injection and the potential damage to the surrounding structures, but also enhances the efficacy of the block itself, reducing its onset and drug doses. This practical volume addresses the needs of physicians dealing with pain management, e.g. anaesthesiologists, radiologists, orthopaedists and physiatrists, with various levels of experience, ranging from physicians in training to those who already perform peripheral nerve blocks with traditional techniques and who want to familiarize with US guided procedures.
