Abstract
This volume provides a comprehensive review of the clinical and radiological aspects in the disease process. The text provides the general pathologist, clinician and pulmonary pathologist with a framework on how to work up a case of either non-neoplastic or neoplastic lung disease and provide clinically relevant information to all involved in patient care. The basic understanding of radiologic findings and what they mean or how they are related to clinical and pathologic findings is addressed in detail. The implications of descriptive and diagnostic terms as well as the criteria for diagnosis and limitations of small biopsies is explained. The new entities in lung pathology whether neoplastic or non-neoplastic are defined and characterized. The special techniques of pulmonary cytopathology, immunohistochemistry and molecular testing are outlined and specific algorithms for using them also defined. Diagnosis of Small Lung Biopsy: An Integrated Approach will serve as a very useful resource for practicing pathologists, clinicians and those in training with interest in pulmonary pathology and pulmonary medicine.
Contents
Small Sample Lung Biopsy Techniques in the Diagnosis of Airway and Parenchymal Lung Diseases -- Principles of Imagining Lung Disease -- Types of Biopsies -- Airspace-Occupying Diseases -- Interstitial Lung Diseases in Small Lung Biopsies -- Diagnosis of Granulomatous Disease and Vasculitis in Small Lung Biopsies -- Benign Tumors of the Lung in Small Lung Biopsies -- Malignant Tumors of the Lung in Small Lung Biopsies.

Abstract
This text provides a comprehensive and practical review of the main statistical methods in pathology and laboratory medicine. It introduces statistical concepts used in pathology and laboratory medicine. The information provided is relevant to pathologists both for their day to day clinical practice as well as in their research and scholarly activities. The text will begins by explaining the fundamentals concepts in statistics. In the later sections, these fundamental concepts are expanded and unique applications of statistical methods in pathology and laboratory medicine practice are introduced. Other sections of the text explain research methodology in pathology covering a broad range of topics from study design to analysis of data. Finally, data-heavy novel concepts that are emerging in pathology and pathology research are presented such as molecular pathology and pathology informatics. Introduction to Statistical Methods in Pathology will be of great value for pathologists, pathology residents, basic and translational researchers, laboratory managers and medical students.

Abstract
Molecular Genetic Pathology, Second Edition presents up-to-date material containing fundamental information relevant to the clinical practice of molecular genetic pathology. Fully updated in each area and expanded to include identification of new infectious agents (H1N1), new diagnostic biomarkers and biomarkers for targeted cancer therapy. This edition is also expanded to include the many new technologies that have become available in the past few years such as microarray (AmpliChip) and high throughput deep sequencing, which will certainly change the clinical practice of molecular genetic pathology. Part I examines the clinical aspects of molecular biology and technology, genomics. Poharmacogenomics and proteomics, while Part II covers the clinically relevant information of medical genetics, hematology, transfusion medicine, oncology, and forensic pathology. Supplemented with many useful figures and presented in a helpful bullet-point format, Molecular Genetic Pathology, Second Edition provides a unique reference for practicing pathologists, oncologists, internists, and medical genetisists. Furthermore, a book with concise overview of the field and highlights of clinical applications will certainly help those trainees, including pathology residents, genetics residents, molecular pathology fellows, internists, hematology/oncology fellows, and medical technologists in preparing for their board examination/certification.
