Abstract
This book is a unique surgical pathology grossing atlas, comprised of a collection of photos of various anatomic specimens frequently encountered in routine and frozen surgical pathology practice, including various organ systems. The photos in this atlas have been collected over many years of practicing surgical pathology in one of the largest medical centers in the world, and include emphasis on important anatomic landmarks and explanations on how to properly orient, section and sample anatomic specimens. The use of actual gross images allows readers to more readily apply the grossing tips to actual specimens that they encounter at the grossing bench. Each chapter is arranged by organ system and includes essential tips for grossing each specimen and sample dictations with all the essential elements that must be addressed for proper assessment of each organ specimen. Written by expert pathologists, Atlas of Surgical Pathology Grossing is an excellent resource for pathologists, medical and pathology assistant students, residents, both in surgery and pathology, and pathology assistants.

Abstract
The 1st edition of Error Reduction and Prevention in Surgical Pathology was an opportunity to pull together into one place all the ideas related to errors in surgical pathology and to organize a discipline in error reduction. This 2nd edition is an opportunity to refine this information, to reorganize the book to improve its usability and practicality, and to include topics that were not previously addressed. This book serves as a guide to pathologists to successfully avoid errors and deliver the best diagnosis possible with all relevant information needed to manage patients. The introductory section includes general principles and ideas that are necessary to understand the context of error reduction. In addition to general principles of error reduction and legal and regulatory responsibilities, a chapter on regulatory affairs and payment systems which increasingly may be impacted by error reduction and improvement activities was added. This later chapter is particularly important in view of the implementation of various value-based payment programs, such as the Medicare Merit-Based Incentive Payment System that became law in 2015. The remainder of the book is organized in a similar manor to the 1st edition with chapters devoted to all aspects of the test cycle, including pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic. The 2nd Edition of Error Reduction and Prevention in Surgical Pathology serves as an essential guide to a successfully managed laboratory and contains all relevant information needed to manage specimens and deliver the best diagnosis.

Pathology, Surgical
Abstract
This handbook has been designed to provide a comprehensive and state-of-the art review and update of the major issues and challenges specific to fine needle aspiration (FNA) and small tissue core biopsies, which have emerged as primary modalities in establishing a definitive cancer diagnosis in the field of anatomic pathology, both in the U.S. and worldwide. Making an accurate diagnosis from a limited sample can be quite challenging yet crucial to patient care. The handbook, using the most current and evidence-based resources, will: 1) emphasize a triple test (clinical, radiologic, and cytologic/histologic correlation); 2) stress the importance of cellblock preparation/small tissue core biopsy in modern cytopathology; 3) include over 100 diagnostic immunostaining panels/tables to address the utility and importance of ancillary studies; 4) incorporate relevant FISH and molecular tests into each chapter; and 5) summarize the pearls and pitfalls of FNA/small tissue biopsies at the beginning of each chapter. The book also includes highly practical presentations of typical case scenarios seen in an anatomic pathology laboratory. Theseáare in the form of case presentations with step-by-step expert analysis. Sample cases include common but challenging situations, such as work-up of a tumor of unknown origin, evaluation of well-differentiated malignant tumors vs. benign/reactive lesions, identification of newly described tumor entities, and implementation of best practice in immunohistochemistry and molecular testing in a difficult case. Handbook of Practical Fine Needle Aspiration and Small Tissue Biopsies is written by recognized experts in their fields and provides a unique and valuable resource in the field of cytopathology, both for those currently in training and for those already in clinical practice at various skill levels. It represents a new, comprehensive yet concise resource on these timely and critical topics.
Contents
Introduction and Application of Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy -- Salivary Glands and Other Head and Neck Structures -- Thyroid and Parathyroid Glands -- Lymph Nodes -- Breast -- Lung and Mediastinum -- Liver -- Pancreas and Biliary Tract -- Kidney and Adrenal Glands -- Soft Tissue.

Abstract
This book provides an easily comprehensible and practicable framework for standardised histopathology reports in surgical cancer. It details the gross description, histological classification, tumor differentiation, extent of local tumor spread, involvement of lymphovascular channels, lymph nodes and excision margins of the common carcinomas and also summarises non-carcinomatous malignancies. The 7th edition TNM and WHO classifications of cancers are incorporated, with comments on any associated pathology, diagnostic clues and prognostic criteria. Staging information is supplemented visually by line diagrams. Each chapter has a more formal introductory paragraph than in the previous edition, giving epidemiological, clinical, investigative and treatment summary details, and chapter references are updated; specimen type notes new clinical procedures. Other pathology includes updated immunophenotypic expression with use of new antibodies and molecular techniques. The impact of these ancillary investigations on diagnosis, and as biomarkers of prognosis and prediction of response to treatment is summarised. The effect of adjuvant treatments on cancers is also noted. Experience based clues are given throughout as aids to tumor typing, grading, staging and gauging prognosis and response to treatment. The key information in this book equips the pathologist to produce high quality, clinically appropriate histopathology reports, and to participate in contemporary multidisciplinary team management of patients with surgical cancer. Histopathology Reporting: Guidelines for Surgical Cancer, Third Edition is invaluable for trainee and consultant diagnostic histopathologists all over the world.

Abstract
This book provides a comprehensive description and explanation of how to perform image-guided percutaneous procedures of the breast and how to manage the results. The authors of the book are expert radiologists trained in breast imaging and are dedicated to patient care and teaching. The intent of this book is that it is used as an educational tool to help develop interventional breast procedural skills and how to apply them in a clinical setting. The book is unique in that it pertains exclusively to percutaneous image-guided breast procedures with a patient-centered focus. Each image modality will be discussed in a separate chapter – ultrasound, mammography, and MRI. Also included is a dedicated chapter focusing on the novel technique of digital breast tomosynthesis-guided procedures. To conclude the book, there is a chapter devoted to radiology/pathology concordance with lesion management. This is an ideal guide for practicing radiologists and physicians in training.
