Abstract
This book provides a practical overview of the clinical management of assisted reproduction treatment (ART), ranging from pre-pregnancy care through pregnancy, to birth and beyond. ART is increasingly used worldwide as it offers the greatest chances of success among currently available fertility treatment options, regardless of the cause of infertility. Over the last two decades, there have been considerable advances in the field of ART, and its use has become much more accessible. Clinical Management of Pregnancies following ART discusses the importance of understanding potential risks and problems, the psychological impact on prospective parents, and the available choices for parents. It is a useful guide for all health professionals involved in the care of women undergoing ART.
Contents
Pre-conception risk assessment -- Medical problems (advanced age, endocrine disease, obesity, malignancies, turners syndrome etc.) -- Gynaecological problems (fibroids, polyps, congenital uterine anomalies, hydrosalpinx, endometriosis, PCOS) -- Psychological issues of periconceptual period -- Pre-conceptual diagnosis (PGD/ PGS/CGH) -- Complications of ART and associated early pregnancy problems (OHSS, ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage) -- Early pregnancy support: evidence based management (progesterone/ folic acid/ heparin and aspirin etc) -- Pre-natal screening options (congenital anomalies, aneuploidies, impact of IVF on serum screening) -- Multiple pregnancy -- Pregnancy associated complication (Hypertensive disorders, growth disorders, placental site problems, older women, conception following donor treatment, Surrogate pregnancies) -- Intrapartum and post partum care (are they at risk of intrapartum problems?, depression due to high expectation) -- Ongoing developments in ART and pregnancy outcome (IVM, fertility preservation: ovarian tissue/whole ovary/ oocyte cryopreservation).

Abstract
Obstetrical care in the family medicine setting is an ever-evolving discipline. In addition to routine updates due to the passage of time, several new developments have occurred in the field since the last edition of this book was published. Among these developments are advances in prenatal assessment and diagnosis, recommendations for vaccination in pregnancy, assessment and management of infectious disease in pregnancy, and management of chronic disease concurrent with pregnancy. All thirty-one chapters of the second edition of this text have been thoroughly updated. Several chapters warranted substantive expansion and revision due to the developments on the topic. These chapters include preconception counseling, prenatal care, dysmorphic growth, preterm labor, recurrent pregnancy loss, infection, diabetes, postdates, normal labor, induction and augmentation, prolonged labor, fetal heart rate monitoring, routine postpartum and complications postpartum. A new chapter has been added that covers vaccination in pregnancy as well as other routine wellness recommendations. Now in its fully revised and expanded third edition, Obstetrics in Family Medicine reflects the significant changes that have occurred in the field since 2015. This book remains the definitive resource for meeting the needs of a wide range of primary care providers who provide direct or indirect care of patients of childbearing age. This book also appeals to nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nursing personnel working in the primary care setting. Additionally, this book serves as a useful guide for medical providers who intersect with pregnant, or possibly pregnant patients including emergency medicine physicians, surgeons, EMT's and paramedics.

Abstract
This unique book is a first-of-its-kind resource that comprehensively covers each facet and challenge of providing optimal perinatal palliative care. Designed for a wide and multi-disciplinary audience, the subjects covered range from theoretical to the clinical and the practically relevant, and all chapters include case studies that provide real-world scenarios as additional teaching tools for the reader. Perinatal Palliative Care: A Clinical Guide is divided into four sections. Part One provides the foundation, covering an overview of the field, key theories that guide the practice of perinatal palliative care, and includes a discussion of perinatal ethics and parental experiences and needs upon receiving a life-limiting fetal diagnosis. Part Two delves further into practical clinical care, guiding readers through issues of obstetrical management, genetic counseling, neonatal pain management, non-pain symptom management, spiritual care, and perinatal bereavement care. Part Three discusses models of perinatal palliative care, closely examining evidence for different types of PPC programs: from hospital-based programs, to community-based care, and examines issues of interdisciplinary PPC care coordination, birth planning, and team support. Finally, Part Four concludes the book with a close look at special considerations in the field. In this section, racial, ethnic, and cultural perspectives and implications for PPC are discussed, along with lessons in how to provide PPC for a wide-range of clinical and other healthcare workers. The book closes with a look to the future of the field of perinatal palliative care. Thorough and practical, Perinatal Palliative Care: A Clinical Guide is an ideal resource for any healthcare practitioner working with these vulnerable patient populations, from palliative care specialists, to obstetricians, midwifes, neonatologists, hospice providers, nurses, doulas, social workers, chaplains, therapists, ethicists, and child life specialists.

Abstract
This book focuses on recent advances in research and practical recommendations regarding the use of psychotropic drugs during pregnancy and lactation, two important social and psychological life events for women. In addition to the social context, including the addition of a new family member, many women experience the occurrence or recurrence of psychiatric disorders during the perinatal period. Psychiatric disorders during this period can have negative effects on the fetus, infant and other children in the family, and can result in functional impairment among mothers. The book offers a comprehensive overview of psychopharmacological treatments for nearly all specific psychiatric conditions (e.g. bipolar disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder) and includes chapters on clinical approaches to treating these disorders. As such, it will appeal to a wide readership, including psychiatrists, obstetricians, gynecologists and pediatricians.
Contents
Part I: Introduction To Perinatal Psychopharmacology -- Epidemiology of use of psychotropic drugs in pregnant and nursing women -- Maternal and infant drug metabolism, and pharmacokinetic changes in psychotropic drugs during pregnancy and the postpartum period -- Safety parameters and risk categories used for psychotropic drugs in pregnancy and lactation -- General approach to pharmacological treatments during the perinatal period -- Part II: Safety Of Psychotropic Drugs During Pregnancy And Lactation -- Antidepressants in pregnancy -- Antidepressants during lactation -- Antipsychotics in pregnancy -- Antipsychotics during lactation -- Mood stabilizers in pregnancy -- Mood stabilizers during lactation -- Benzodiazepines and Z-drugs in pregnancy -- Benzodiazepines and Z-drugs during lactation -- Part III: Pharmacological Management Of Psychiatric Disorders During The Perinatal Period -- Major depression -- Bipolar disorder -- Schizophrenia and related psychoses -- Obsessive-compulsive disorder -- Anxiety disorders -- Posttraumatic stress disorder -- Alcohol use disorders -- Substance use disorders -- Sleep disorders -- Eating disorders.
