Abstract
This book describes the approach to anesthetic and perioperative management in different categories of high-risk patient scheduled to undergo elective noncardiac surgery. Individual sections focus on patients with conditions entailing cardiac and hemodynamic risks, respiratory risks, renal and metabolic risks, neurological risks, and other forms of risk. For each condition, up-to-date guidance is provided on risk evaluation, risk stratification, and intraoperative and postoperative anesthetic management. This is the first time that such different clinical situations have been gathered together in a single textbook of anesthesiology. All of the authors are international experts with extensive clinical experience. The aim is to provide trainee anesthesiologists with clear guidance that will prove invaluable when managing a wide range of patients with serious illnesses or conditions that pose a significant anesthetic risk. The book will also serve as a valuable reference for more experienced anesthesiologists and intensivists.

Abstract
While surgical management of thoracic, hepato-pancreato-biliary, and colorectal diseases continues to evolve, morbidity continues to be a persistent problem. This book provides a comprehensive, state-of-the art, definitive reference for the diagnosis and management of difficult-to-manage complications following advanced gastrointestinal surgery. All chapters are written by experts in their field and include the most up-to-date clinical information from national and world leaders in their respective disciplines. The text provides a practical, clinically useful guide that reviews risk factors for these complications and offers key information on how to avoid potentially high morbidity events in the peri-operative period. It also discusses the management of these problems when they do occur. With its helpful guidelines and "tricks of the trade" to avoid potential complications, this book is essential to all medical professions treating such patients. Gastrointestinal Surgery: Management of Complex Perioperative Complications is of great value and utility for general surgeons, thoracic surgeons, upper gastrointestinal surgeons, colorectal surgeons, hepato-pancreato-biliary surgeons, surgical oncology fellows, thoracic surgery fellows and upper level residents in general surgery.

Abstract
This handbook provides step-by-step instructions enabling even a novice in the field of interventional neuroradiology/endovascular neurosurgery to perform a procedure. It covers the breadth of mainstream endovascular techniques. This manual provides lucid, readily accessible and pertinent hands-on information. It focuses on practicalities such as technique, choice of equipment and rationale, contrast agents, medications, precise pre- and post-procedure management and management of complications. It does not elaborate on theoretical aspects of disease e.g., etiology, pathogenesis, statistics, etc. In essence, it provides the necessary information to enable performance of a procedure. Handbook of Neuroendovascular Techniques will be a great resource for a whole range of physicians from residents, to those just embarking on their own independent practice to established experts reviewing methodology of a technique. The authors have a depth of experience and are highly qualified, ensuring objective, pertinent, authoritative and competent coverage of subject matter.

Abstract
Manual of Fast Track Recovery for Colorectal Surgery provides a broad overview on enhanced recovery, with expert opinions from leaders in the field regarding elements of enhanced recovery care that are generic and specific to colorectal surgery. This book covers the patient journey through such a programme, commencing with optimisation of the patient's condition, patient education and conditioning of their expectations. Manual of Fast Track Recovery for Colorectal Surgery investigates the metabolic response to surgery, anaesthetic contributions and optimal fluid management, after surgery. It also details examples of enhanced recovery pathways and practical tips on post-operative pain control, feeding, mobilisation and criteria for discharge. Manual of Fast Track Recovery for Colorectal Surgery is a valuable reference tool for colorectal surgeons, anaesthetists, ward nurses and other members of the team involved in perioperative care: pain control specialists, physiotherapists, dietitians, specialist therapists (such as colorectal and stoma nurses), and outpatient nurses.

Abstract
This book is a comprehensive, step-by-step guide to maxillofacial surgical procedures typically performed in an office setting. It comprises three sections, the first of which provides an overview of general and basic perioperative topics such as medical and facial assessment, laboratory indications, local anesthesia, and oral and parenteral sedation. In the second section, a wide range of dentoalveolar procedures are described in detail. The final section is devoted to maxillofacial cosmetic procedures. Here, readers will find stepwise guidance on scar revision, chemical peel, laser resurfacing, dermabrasion, use of neuromodulators and fillers, neck procedures, blepharoplasty, and hair transplant surgery. The book is written by acknowledged experts and is multi-institutional and multispecialty based.
