Abstract
This book is written for the benefit of all surgeons who have an interest in arthroscopic shoulder surgery. It is a compendium of different aspects of shoulder surgery that have been learned over the last 25 years. While there has been a rapid progression of shoulder surgery over the last two decades, particularly with the advancement of operative arthroscopic surgery, certain principles remain. The purpose of this book is not to be an exhaustive detailed account of the various historical aspects of arthroscopic shoulder surgery, but rather to act as an up-to-date, instructional handbook that outlines these principles. The book also helps the practicing shoulder surgeon become familiar some of the latest techniques in arthroscopic shoulder surgery, demonstrating proven approaches and outlining key aspects of common and uncommon procedures. Each chapter starts with the indications for the procedure, moves towards the appropriate evaluation and diagnostic work up, and culminates in specific technical explanation of the surgical procedure itself. Advanced Techniques in Shoulder Arthroscopy is a valuable resource for those who are new to arthroscopic shoulder surgery and for those who are skilled and experienced in operative arthroscopy. It is meant to provide a foundation for basic and advanced arthroscopic techniques that helps surgeons improve their craft and treat their patients better.

Abstract
Opening with a discussion of the indications and pre-operative evaluation of the arthritic shoulder and a review of the anatomy and biomechanics of the shoulder, this comprehensive clinical guide to anatomic shoulder arthroplasty then proceeds to describe the various types of prosthetics and management techniques used in this common surgical procedure. Humeral head resurfacing is described, along with stemmed and stemless replacements, followed by the anatomy and biomechanics of the glenoid using both standard and augmented replacement. Interposition shoulder arthroplasty, revision total shoulder arthroplasty, and hemiarthroplasty of the proximal humerus are likewise elaborated. Additional chapters on complications -- infection, periprosthetic fracture, subscapularis insufficiency and instability -- and rehabilitation techniques round out the presentation. Anatomic Shoulder Arthroplasty is an excellent resource for orthopeadic and shoulder surgeons and sports medicine practitioners, both new and veteran.

Abstract
The book offers a comprehensive and up-to-date guide to the cutting edge arthroscopic transosseous techniques for the treatment of rotator cuff tears, which are gradually taking over from the common open surgical approach, defined as the gold standard for RCR. With the help of numerous figures, it presents step by step a novel all-arthroscopic anchorless transosseous suture technique that is less invasive and easier to perform. After discussing the etiopathogenesis, histopathology and radiological classification of rotator cuff tears, the book reviews all possible arthroscopic procedures and explores in detail suture management, describing single and double tunnel options. It also examines the complications and post-operative rehabilitation and imaging, while the closing chapter addresses the economic aspects of daily use. Intended primarily for arthroscopic surgeons interested in the field of shoulder joint repair, this exhaustive guide is also a valuable resource for residents and shoulder specialists.
Contents
1. Rotator cuff tear: etiopathogenesis and histopathology -- 2. Rotator cuff tear: classification system (arthroscopic) -- 3. Rotator cuff tear: imaging -- 4. Transosseous rotator cuff repair: rationale -- 5. Transosseous or Transosseous equivalent rotator cuff repair: the difference -- 6. Transosseous tunnel: which arthroscopic device? -- 7. Transosseous rotator cuff repair: which arthroscopic technique? -- 8. Sutures configurations -- 9. Surgical indications/complications -- 10. Postoperative rehabilitation program -- 11. Postoperative imaging -- 12. Biomechanical and biological considerations -- 13. Economic aspects.

Abstract
Ideal for shoulder surgeons who want to upgrade their skills to the next level, this practical, step-by-step text presents the latest cutting-edge management strategies and science aimed at shoulder preservation surgery. Highlighting four main areas - the overhead athlete, shoulder instability, glenohumeral arthritis, and the rotator cuff - these innovative techniques focus on the maintenance of the native shoulder joint. Chapters open with an introduction to the clinical problem, followed by misgivings related to open surgery or arthroplasty as treatment strategies. A rationale for the arthroscopic treatment is then presented, along with an in-depth description of the technique itself as well as preliminary results. Techniques presented include posterior capsule release for the overhead athlete, arthroscopic Latarjet for instability, the CAM procedure for glenohumeral arthritis, biological augmentation for rotator cuff repair. A fifth section covers post-operative care and return-to-play considerations. With contributions from many of the top thinkers and surgeons of the shoulder, Elite Techniques in Shoulder Arthroscopy brings these exciting new management strategies to the fore with the aim of elevating them to more common practice for orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine specialists.
Contents

Abstract
Focusing exclusively on reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) techniques and devices, this plentifully illustrated text covers all aspects of this important and innovative treatment for shoulder pain and dysfunction. The book begins with a history of RSA followed by a thorough overview of the basic science and biomechanics of the shoulder. Indications for and clinical applications of RSA in a number of surgical interventions are then described, including the revision of failed shoulder arthroplasty, setting in cases of glenoid and humeral bone loss and rotator cuff tears. A whole section is then dedicated to various commercial devices with descriptive expert analysis of the design and implementation of each. An examination of the current economic value of RSA, including cost effectiveness and expected cost outcomes, comprises the final section. Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty can therefore be read either from start to finish, allowing orthopedic surgeons to appreciate the various perspectives offered, or by selecting specific topics of interest much like a "how-to manual" of either a particular device design or the treatment of a specific pathology.

Abstract
This book describes and evaluates techniques and devices used in shoulder arthroplasty with a view to enabling readers to improve their surgical practice. After an opening section on basic knowledge, including surgical anatomy, key issues in total shoulder arthroplasty and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA) are considered in detail. Among the topics covered are biomechanics, cemented versus cementless humeral fixation, the comparative merits of humeral components featuring short stem and stemless designs and of pegged and keeled glenoid components, the influence of humeral inclination in RTSA, and the avoidance and management of unstable RTSA. An entire section is then devoted to the description and illustration of valuable surgical tips and tricks. Arthroplasty for acute proximal humerus fractures is considered separately, again addressing important aspects of technique and current controversies. The book is an outcome of a workshop held by the international Shoulder Club, formed at Hacettepe University in Ankara in 2015 with the aim of bringing together leading authorities in the field and young orthopedic surgeons and students from across the world in order to disseminate expertise and exchange ideas.
