Abstract
Dermatologists commonly treat acne, which affects 40 to 50 million Americans each year and about 85 percent of all patients at some point in their lives. Dermatologists, primary care doctors, and pediatricians see these patients every day in practice. It is important to treat the skin effectively not only to reduce the risk of physical scarring, but also to address the negative psychosocial impact this disease carries. Improving the skin can improve self-confidence, interpersonal relationships, and performance in school or at work. Acneiform Eruptions in Dermatology is a practical, full-color guide to the differential diagnosis of acne vulgaris and the treatment of acne-like conditions. It is organized into sections by subtype of condition (e.g., infections, genetic syndromes, medication-caused) and includes a section of variants of acne that may be misdiagnosed. Within the sections, individual chapters discuss each variant of the condition and begin with a helpful bulleted summary of its defining clinical features. Extensive color clinical images appear throughout the book.

Abstract
An essential, comprehensive, and practical guide to understanding, measuring, and modifying patients' adherence behavior to optimize treatment outcomes, this book covers all major aspects of adherence in dermatology. The first section describes current knowledge on the magnitude and impact of nonadherence; the second outlines measuring adherence in the context of databases, trials and practice. The third section addresses adherence in key skin diseases and the fourth covers numerous strategies to improve adherence by mitigating specific patient barriers. All sections emphasize ways to optimize communication with patients: the foundation for producing successful health behavior change. Low adherence helps explain why, despite effective treatments existing for all major dermatologic conditions, many patients still fail to improve. When clinicians endeavour to maximize adherence, with the aid of evidence-based strategies, these drugs will often realise their potential. This book devotes special attention to understanding why individuals may be nonadherent, so that each patient can receive a suitable treatment regimen, with a personalized plan of action. This book is designed for clinicians at all levels, serving as both introductory training for medical students and residents, and an update on the field for experienced practitioners. Researchers and policymakers will also benefit from its coverage of research methods and the impact of nonadherence in specific diseases. Adherence in Dermatology bridges the gap between outcomes researchers and clinicians by explaining the latest findings in plain language, with examples from everyday dermatologic practice.
Contents
Part I. What is known about adherence behavior -- 1. Impact of Non-Adherence in Dermatology -- 2. Models of Adherence -- 3. Impact of demographic and treatment-related factors -- 4. Non-attendance, predictors and interventions -- Part II. Methods of measuring adherence -- 5. Using Retrospective Databases to Study Adherence -- 6. Measuring Adherence in Clinical Trials -- 7. How providers can assess their patients' adherence in clinical settings -- Part III. Adherence in specific diseases -- 8. Topical application and variability of the de facto applied dose: technical aspects -- 9. Adherence in Acne -- 10. Psoriasis and adherence to therapy: individual, treatment-related and general factors -- 11. Adherence in atopic dermatitis -- 12. Adherence in Other Dermatologic Conditions -- Part IV. Strategies to improve adherence -- 13. Optimizing the Physician-Patient Relationship and Educating the Patient about Adherence -- 14. Choosing the treatment the patient is most likely to use -- 15. Dealing with forgetfulness -- 16. Building Motivation and Self-Efficacy.

Dermatologists already inhibit angiogenesis as part of their treatment of multiple common dermatologic disorders, including acne, warts, and nonmelanoma skin cancer. Angiogenesis-Based Dermatology encompasses information and knowledge from a diverse background of related topics to enable readers to have a full understanding of the subject in order to optimally manage patients with this group of diagnoses. It provides a guide to the principles of angiogenesis that will allow all involved in dermatology from the medical student and nurse practitioner to the experienced dermatologist to apply these principles for the treatment of patients.

Abstract
This richly illustrated atlas written by a team of experts guides the reader to the applications of lasers and light technologies in dermatology. It is divided in two parts: the first reviews the physical and optical concepts related to lasers and light sources, and provides a detailed description of surgical (ablative and non-ablative), vascular and pigmentary laser devices. It also discusses difficult-to-treat conditions, such as melasma and scars. The second part of the atlas is more clinically-oriented, presenting reproducible parameters and high-resolution images of pre and post-treatment, and desired end points in order to achieve an optimal result. Enabling readers to gain an understanding of the various topics concerning lasers, it explores conventional, non-conventional and combined laser treatments in a wide range of indications, as well as practical aspects such as medicolegal issues, informed consent and management of complications. The increasing knowledge and growing expertise in lasers and light devices make it necessary for physicians to be aware of the latest developments in this quickly evolving field. As such, this book is of interest to all physicians working in dermatology, cosmetology and aesthetic medicine, as well as to physician assistants and nurses using lasers in their daily practice.

Inpatient Pediatric Dermatology is an emerging subspecialty of Pediatric Dermatology, yet little has been written for the practicing physician treating these young patients in the hospital. Case-based Inpatient Pediatric Dermatology fills that void and uses case-based examples to highlight common and uncommon presentations of dermatologic disease in the hospitalized pediatric patient. Complete with useful color illustrations and photographs, this book is the go-to guide for clinicians treating hospitalized pediatric dermatology patients.

Abstract
This case book will be based on real life scenarios of patient cases which have been encountered over several decades in one of the largest phototherapy centers in the United States. To our knowledge, there has not been anything similar published to date. By presenting various cases and how to manage such cases, we aim to educate dermatology trainees and practicing dermatologist who are trying to familiarize themselves with phototherapy. A recent study has shown that many dermatologists do not know how to administer phototherapy, and most graduating residents do not have adequate teaching and experience with administering phototherapy during their residencies. Therefore, the hope is that this book will fill a critical gap in the field of dermatology.

Abstract
Clinical Dermatology Trials 101 provides dermatologists with a handbook that allows them to become familiar with all aspects of clinical trials. Everything from obtaining the necessary tools and equipment, complying with local, federal, and international guidelines and regulations, and hiring and training staff for the safe and up-to-date conduct of dermatology clinical trials is covered. Written by leading experts in the field, Clinical Dermatology Trials 101 is the only clinical trial how-to available for dermatologists. With skin disease affecting nearly seventy percent of the population over a lifetime, and the rate of development of new drugs and devices for dermatologic use increasing at an exponential rate, there is a tremendous need for training and developing dermatology clinical research facilities to expedite the translation of basic and applied research, from bench to bedside. This is useful for practicing dermatologists, academic dermatologists, dermatology residents, clinical research fellows, dermatology fellows, research scientists, industry dermatologists, and medical students.
