Abstract
This book accentuates the anatomies involved in spine surgery techniques, from the base of the skull down to the sacrum and the sacroiliac joint. It includes extensive illustrations that cover all major spine surgeries. It also discusses the instrumentations used with different operative approaches. The book features high-resolution pictures of operative dissection, cadaveric specimens, and intraoperative imaging that clearly illustrate the relevant anatomy of various spine surgery procedures, allowing surgeons to "reconstruct" a three-dimensional anatomical view when performing the surgery. As such, it is a valuable reference resource for spine surgeons. Editors Jian-Gang Shi and Wen Yuan are professors at the department of orthopaedics, Changzheng Hospital, Second Military Medical University, Shanghai, China. Editor Jing-Chuan Sun is a surgeon at the same department.

Abstract
"This comprehensive, easy-to-consult pocket atlas is renowned for its superb illustrations and ability to depict sectional anatomy in every plane. Together with its two companion volumes, it provides a highly specialized navigational tool for all clinicians who need to master radiologic anatomy and accurately interpret CT and MR images. Special features of Pocket Atlas of Sectional Anatomy: Didactic organization in two-page units, with high-quality radiologic images on one side and brilliant, full-color diagrams on the other; Hundreds of high-resolution CT and MR images, many made with the latest generation of scanners (e.g., 3T MRI, 64-slice CT); Consistent color coding, making it easy to identify similar structures across several slices; Concise, easy-to-read labeling of all figures. Compact, easy-to-use, highly visual, and designed for quick recall, this book is ideal for use in both the clinical and study settings."--Provided by publisher.

Abstract
This richly illustrated and comprehensive book covers a broad range of normal and pathologic conditions of the vertebral column, from its embryology to its development, its pathology, its dynamism and its degeneration. The dynamic anatomy of the living subject is viewed using the latest technologies, opening new perspectives to elucidate the pathology of the spine and improve spinal surgery. The respective chapters review in depth all sections of the vertebral column and offer new insights, e.g. the 3D study of vertebral movements using the “EOS system,” which makes it possible to define an equilibrium of posture and its limits. New histological and chemical findings on the intervertebral disc, as well as detailed descriptions of the aponeuroses and fasciae, are also provided. Bringing together the experience of several experts from the well-known French school, this book offers a valuable companion for skilled experts and postgraduate students in various fields: orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, physiotherapy, rheumatology, musculoskeletal therapy, rehabilitation, and kinesiology.
