A steroid can be injected into or around the eye to treat conditions that cause inflammation or swelling in your eye. Steps to take before treatment are outlined. An explanation of how the treatment is given and care after treatment (using eye drops) are described. Symptoms that require immediate medical attention are noted. A map is also provided.
