Abstract
The timely revision of this authoritative handbook gives a wide range of health care providers practical insights and strategies for treating cancer survivors' long-term physical and mental health issues and promoting healthy lifestyle habits. Details of new and emerging trends in research and practice enhance readers' awareness of issues faced by survivors so they may better detect, monitor, intervene in, and if possible prevent distressing conditions and potentially harmful outcomes. Of particular emphasis are different models of care that may be applicable to diverse clinical settings around the world. New or updated chapters cover major challenges to survivors' quality of life and options for health care delivery across key life domains, including: Adaptation and coping post-treatment. Problems of aging in survivorship, including disparities and financial hardship. Well-being concerns including physical activity, weight loss, nutrition, and smoking cessation. Core functional areas such as work, sleep, relationships, and cognition. Large-scale symptoms including pain, distress, and fatigue. Models of care including primary care and comprehensive cancer center. International perspectives PLUS, insights about lessons learned and challenges ahead. With survivorship and survivorship care becoming an ever more important part of the clinical landscape, the Second Edition of the Handbook of Cancer Survivorship is an essential reference for oncology specialists, primary care providers, mental health professionals, rehabilitation providers, as well as public health specialists, epidemiologists and policy makers.

Abstract
This book presents the current state of the nursing science in topics relevant to the care of pediatric oncology patients and their families across the treatment trajectory and is framed within a precision health framework. The spectrum of topics covered is wide, including, for example, symptom management, self-care management, exercise and physical activity, family-centered care, palliative care, the role of the nurse in treatment decision making, patient and nurse resiliency, survivorship, and genetic counseling. Throughout, there is a focus on the implications of research for nursing practice, highlighting which elements of the available evidence are ready for translation into practice and which are not. In addition, careful attention is paid to the role that nursing can play in further advancing science through clinical research. The authors are leading experts from across the globe. The book will be of special interest for pediatric oncology nurses, including direct care nurses, research nurses, and nursing leaders, and will also be a stimulating source for researchers and non-oncology nurses.

Abstract
This book follows the continuum of cancer care model as its outline vide infra. As cancer is now a very multidisciplinary disease, it encourages dedicated professionals from various specialties as well as active patient cooperation in order to improve successful treatment and survival. This text will serve as a detailed reference source for healthcare providers intending to improve the quality of survivorship of cancer patients, as well as help create affordable care plans. Initially it discusses the current cancer care crisis on a global and then national platform. Chapters include discussions about disability adjusted life years lost, lost productivity, loss of life and its impact upon the nation and communities. In order to deescalate the financial impact of cancer on society and government, this text incorporates smarter and efficient treatment alternatives that will also improve the survivorship of patients, families and caregivers. It also illustrates how prevention and screening programs can be incorporated to improve cancer care. Quality Cancer Care: Survivorship Before, During and After Treatment will become an invaluable resource for healthcare professionals and clinical staff involved in the delivery of cancer care.
Contents
Outlining the Crisis in Cancer Care -- Public Reporting of Institution and Provider Level Outcomes -- Cancer Statistics: Global and National -- Understanding the Social Determinants of Cancer: Challenges, Opportunities and Pathways to Success -- How Prevention and Screening Programs Can Be Identified Through a Community Health Needs Assessment -- The Role of Quality Metrics in Improving Oncologic Survival -- Patient Navigation in Cancer Care Delivery -- Survivorship -- Oncology Rehabilitation -- Building a Team to Improve Cancer Survivorship--Integrative Care's Increasing Role -- Medical-Legal Partnerships in Cancer Care -- Palliative Care for Cancer and Treatment Related Changes for In-Patients -- Ambulatory Palliative Care -- End-of-Life Care and Cancer: Psychosocial Needs of Patients and the Bereaved -- Physician Leadership.
