Abstract
The use of ultrasound guidance to perform diagnostic and therapeutic injections is growing at a rapid rate, as is the evidence to support its use. Even with the increased popularity of ultrasound, there remains a lack of formal training or a standard reference book. Atlas of Ultrasound Guided Musculoskeletal Injections fills this void in the literature and will be useful to physiatrists, orthopedists, rheumatologists, pain medicine and sports medicine specialists alike. Broken down by anatomic structure and heavily illustrated, this book is both comprehensive and instructive. The Editors and their contributors break down the basics (both the fundamentals of ultrasound to needle visibility and the role of injections) and explore ultrasound-guided injection for structures in the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, hip and groin, knee, ankle and foot, and spine. Using a clear, heavily illustrated format, this book describes the relevant clinical scenarios and indications for injection, the evidence to support ultrasound use, relevant local anatomy, injection methods, and pearls and safety considerations.

Abstract
This text provides a comprehensive review of the cytology of disease processes of the mediastinum and mediastinal lymph nodes with emphasis in lung and gut nodal cancer staging in specimens obtained by EUS-FNA. This book also reviews the cytology of intramural masses of the gastrointestinal tract using a pattern-based diagnostic approach. The cytomorphology of lesions obtained by EUS-FNA is peculiar by the common presence in the obtained sample of normal luminal gastrointestinal contents, and the cytopathologist should be familiar with this pattern not often seen when the sampling is done by percutaneous approach. Technical considerations pertaining to the operator performing the procedure as well as to the cytopathologist, with emphasis on rapid on-site interpretation are also covered. Most lesions described in the book also have endoscopic US image correlation. CYTOLOGY OF THE MEDIASTINUM AND GUT VIA ENDOSCOPIC ULTRASOUND-GUIDED ASPIRATION is a useful and practical guide for cytological interpretation and differential diagnosis of lesions obtained by EUS-FNA of mediastinum and gut. All chapters are written by experts with many years of experience in the field and contain the cytology, immuno-profile, molecular profile, and ultrasound features of the masses described. This book is a valuable source of information for cytopathologists, cytopathology fellows, cytotechnology students and upper level pathology residents. Echoendoscopists, and any professional with interest in ultrasound and fine-needle aspiration cytology of mediastinal and GI masses will benefit from this book.

Abstract
This book describes in detail the use of duplex ultrasound for exploration of the superficial veins and their pathology. It has a practical orientation, presenting numerous clinical situations and explaining how to identify the different sources of reflux, specially in the groin. The investigation of pathology of the saphenous trunks, perforators, and side branches is described in detail. As duplex ultrasound plays an important role during various venous surgical procedures, its application pre-, intra-, and postoperatively is presented. Furthermore, the sonographic appearances of thrombotic pathology of superficial and deep veins, edema, and other conditions that may be observed while exploring the veins are fully described. The book is based on the authors' extensive clinical experience and is intended to assist fellow practitioners who want to learn more about the technique. It includes a wealth of informative images with the aim of covering every potential situation.

Abstract
Image-Guided Prostate Cancer Treatments is a comprehensive reference and practical guide on the technology and application of ultrasound and MRI in the male pelvis, with special attention to the prostate. The book is organized into three main sections, the first of which is devoted to general aspects of imaging and image-guided treatments. The second section provides a systematic overview of the application of ultrasound and MRI to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the lower urinary tract. Performance of the ultrasound and MRI studies is explained, and the normal and abnormal pathological anatomy is reviewed. Correlation with the ultrasound in the same plane is provided to assist in understanding the MRI sequences. Biopsy and interventional procedures, ultrasound-MRI fusion techniques, and image-guided therapies, including focused ultrasound, photodynamic therapy, microwave and laser ablation, are all fully covered. The third section focuses on securing treatment effectiveness and the use of follow-up imaging to ensure therapeutic success and detect tumor recurrence at an early stage, which is vital given that prompt focal treatment of recurrence is very successful. Here, particular attention is paid to the role of Doppler ultrasound and DCE-MRI technologies. This book, containing a wealth of high-quality illustrations based on high-end equipment, will acquaint beginners with the basics of prostate ultrasound and MRI, while more advanced practitioners will learn new skills, means of avoiding pitfalls, and ways of effectively relating the imaging and image-guided treatments to the clinical situation.

Abstract
In this concise, gold-standard 4th edition book, the volume editors and authors synthesize the prior three editions and provide a comprehensive and expanded review on the latest in the diagnosis and management of thyroid nodules, as well as an update on parathyroid disease and non-endocrine lesions of the neck. This user-friendly edition again emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to thyroid ultrasound and UGFNA, offering all the new information and subtleties clinicians must know in the application of this technique, now firmly established as a primary tool for diagnosing and managing thyroid disease. Developed by renowned experts in thyroid and parathyroid disease, the book covers not only thyroid and parathyroid disease, but also imaging of the salivary glands and other non-endocrine lesions of the neck. In this edition, the authors expand the chapters on both surgical and non-surgical management. Given the increased use of molecular markers in thyroid evaluation, an excellent chapter addresses this topic. Finally, as more endocrinologists and surgeons perform ultrasounds in their office practices, a chapter on authoring ultrasound reports is now included. Combining the collective wisdom of specialists who treat patients with thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer and parathyroid disease, Handbook of Thyroid and Parathyroid Ultrasound and Ultrasound-Guided FNA, 4th Edition is an invaluable resource and will continue serving as the "go to" guide for surgeons, endocrinologists, fellows and residents.

Abstract
This practice-oriented book, containing a wealth of high-quality ultrasound images, provides clear, concise, and complete coverage of the normal anatomy of the hand and wrist - tendons, nerves, and vascular structures - as well as the main pathologic conditions encountered in this area. The ultrasound images have been acquired with state of the art scanners and carefully labeled to facilitate recognition of each and every anatomic structure. Helpful comparison is also made with images and findings obtained using other diagnostic techniques, including in particular magnetic resonance imaging. The lucid text is complemented by practical tables summarizing key points for ease of reference. Readers will find Ultrasonography of the Upper Extremity to be a rich source of information on anatomy, examination techniques, and ultrasound appearances of one of the anatomic regions to have benefited the most from the technological revolution that has taken place in the field of ultrasonography during recent years. The book will appeal to both novice and experienced practitioners, including above all radiologists and ultrasound technicians but also rheumatologists and orthopedic surgeons.
